Could you please share the github repo for the web minitoring ?
https://github.com/sergioclemente/antminer-monitorI originally tried integrating in the original fork, but the author was quite resistant to some changes I've made. Feel free to send patches if you want any features or find any bugs. I'd just recommend better cable management.
I agree, what do you guys use for cable management? Moderator's note: This post was edited by frodocooper to correct erroneous quote formatting.

Around $400. I probably need approval from the moderator and blockforge to post it.

Where do you see a discount?? I believe those that bought already got one email with the discount code.

Quick question on setting up these 821's...I've mainly used antminers which are a little "easier" to setup and run but was wanting to make sure I was right. In a dedicated hosting setup, where static ip's are used, do I need to set up a static IP for each miner AND the raspberri pi, or just the raspberri pi only? And if the answer would be the same if each avalon was connected singly via it's own auc3 connector vs daisychaining everything together off one.
Thanks
The raspberry pi has a ethernet network adapter, not the miner itself. You just set the ip on the controller.

Yeah, I got same kind of results in my voltage offset testing. -2 gave the best miner performance.
You can see the results in my review thread (link is in the signature). Just to be sure. The consensus here is for optimal power/hashrate: - 741: Voltage set at -2 - 821: Voltage set at 0

Never saw that, but your mini sd might be stuck in read only mode. You might want to reflash the mini-sd and perhaps google "mini sd in read mode" as I don't have permissions to post links

I went to setup the controller today, changed network to dhcp and added a password. Restarted the controller and all a sudden it's not found on my network nor can I access it anymore. Thats weird, I've seen that when I set static ip. Does your router recognize your device? Did you try plugging in a hdmi monitor to see what the controller displays on the screen?

I think you have to click in the CGMiner API log tab

Thanks blokforge. From what I can tell is the same setup as the 741. We just have to be careful with the firmware software in the controller.
|
|
|
My two Avalon 741 automatically reach ~8.1 TH/s with around 3% error rate.
I've noticed during the ramp up when its ~7 TH/s the error rate is 0%. Is that something normal other folks observe? The miner is running ~80C.
I could force the frequency to be lower and thus avoid the hw error rate. But 3% error rate in 8.1 TH/s seems much better than the advertised 7.3 TH/s.

do you think this officially means that the 741 and 821 will need separate controllers? last i spoke with blokforge they werent sure if the 741 and 821 would be able to daisy chain together on the same controller--and that they would have to test it first on their end before they knew---hoping to be able to save a few bucks and use the same controller i have for my 741s now! Someone posted on this thread already before it will be supported. You have to make sure you don't flash the firmware for example which would corrupt one of the miners.

My friend will be adding the duct adapter to Thingverse, so just search for Antminer. It should be there soon.
Any updates on the 3d model on thingsverse?

Remember the error codes are additive. For example if you have an error 32 and an error 8 it will show as error 40.
The easiest way to check codes is through their query tool. It will list all applicable codes. Right! They are bit or. I was automating this for an open source project but It should be pretty straightforward to do this from python. https://github.com/anselal/antminer-monitor

Anyone is an expert on what cgminer API for stats( https://pastebin.com/ctH3jfuq) returns for avalon 741? I am particularly trying to find the following 2 things: 1) Hardware error rate 2) Something equivalent to bitmains asic info (The o's, x's, -'s)

No problem, let me ask my friend.
Looking forward for the 3d file if you can get with your friend.

Most people dont size the duct properly for the airflow needed or they do not take into account the length of the duct. Think about it in terms of car exhaust. Mind giving some concrete numbers? For the antminer s9 for instance, is 8 feet too long? Also people will use inline fans that are not cfm matched to the amount of flow you are trying to create It seems the s9 for instance its around 200m 3/hr which translates to around 120ft 3/min or CFM. Would people generally assume linear growth? e.g. 10 miners ==> 10 * 120 = 1200 CFM?
