Don't completely discard PODC,make BBP a multi-algorithm pow currency，everyone can mine bbp using the algo he likes.

do you need more coins? here you are...
with no effort, almost 0 costs of electricity, wallet could be running on few watts device
there will be more and more coins with no value, staking is no answer as it is one time thing, not repeating with new coins
why btc is still dumping? because there are lots of coins mined when value was less (e.g mined with costs ~1000/btc) so it is no problem for somebody to sell it now for 3400
same will be here if you allow low value coins (replace podc with pog)
for fun it is ok to have small pog like now and trying gamble there
It is the old discussion about PoW and PoS. So doing PoW you are getting coins minted from nowhere in exchange of electricity/hardware that secures the chain, and with PoS you get the same minted coins from nowhere in exchange of old enough coins (staking). PoG is a flavor of PoS with a in-build pool, but chain is still secured with PoBH. About which system is better, everyone has an opinion more or less strong towards one or the other. POG = Pure Gambling, that's mathematical certainty. RTP (return to player) = you can only guess  |

For new user is important to set up wallet as simple as possible and start mining (means get first reward) as soon as possible. From this point of view there are two questions: 1. How he can get first coins after he install wallet? To have some coins in the wallet is basic condition for POG am i right? 2. After he get first coins somehow in his wallet how long it will take to get first reward in consideration with actual coin age condition? exactly. some real examples with numbers would help. how can we motivate at least some users to join? |

Ok guys, it's a shame that it happened but unfortunately our .50 podc mincoinage rule is causing all these problems.
Let's blame all of our problems this week on this key.
(The issue was that we couldn't actually predict how frequent or when PODC updates would occur by each user, and since they spent their own coin age on each podc update, technically they lost the coin age and then the sancs didn't include them in the consensus mechanism).
So I have disabled the rule via our spork and now starting in tonight's PODC superblock we should be back on the prior rules.
Warning: The 20BBP per rac rule is implemented for a reason. If you are caught deliberately abusing PODC by sharing UTXO funds, we have the capability to blacklist the CPID. The sancs already have this code running, so it is a very real possibility your CPID will be blacklisted if you share UTXO funds. TheSnat has the capability to report on this activity and will be monitoring for this starting tomorrow.

i wonder how it is possible to have coin age >.5, especially with automatic podc updates every 4hr
if i send podcupdate, coin age is reset to 0
i tried also pog, same... avg coin age displayed is reset to 0
does not matter what i do, any outgoing transaction takes whole amount and send it back to me (without amount that i'm sending away)
"exec bankroll" rpc command splits large utxo's into chunks so they can age. but will this works with podc? i remember, that i needed to move all chunks to one address in wallet to work with podc i'm still wondering, why there are no clear and simple instructions how this (POG) will work, and how to operate this. please do not delete this post (which only asks for information), it would be bad marketing move. |

You need at least 1 sanctuary. If you have one, just put gobject vote-many 2a5c0805b0a026dd79898d50a27c49c4c2923b767c3735180e43e1dde9914bd2 funding yes into the debug console of your controller wallet. This should do the trick. (Don't make the mistake of checking with "gobject list" though; for BBP this is an endless list taking several minutes to load).
