1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hive OS - new Linux GPU mining platform on: March 19, 2018, 07:15:19 PM
Trying to get Bminer / Equihash to work with Zpool.Ca is a nightmare.

I got it to work with Nicehash quite easily.  However I have problems with Zpool.ca

Anybody can share his settings in the wallet that I need to use with Bminer?

Thanks

Best Algo/hashrate:Nist5 92hasharte on 100% power ( 96.3 on 120%)

The nist5 sp-mod Does 92 MHASH @ 80% power

Sorry, we use free software. Move on.

which ccminer version you use? I downloaded alexis ccminer from various sources, but they do 90m+ but do not find valid solutions..

From nemo's directory - https://github.com/nemosminer/ccminerAlexis78/releases/download/3%2F3%2F2018/ccminer-Alexis78.zip

thanks a lot!

Are any of you using simplemining OS? Can only find ccminer tpruvot that supports nist5, which gives me 20-40 mh/s Sad

I am using Hiveos from hiveos.farm it does support Alexis and mulitples other ccminer fork.

Last upgrade is an Image upgrade?  what is the difference?  We have to DL and install from scratch?

It's kinda hard to get the API-What sheet updated. It doesn't stay couple seconds without many #ERROR cells (WTM JSON problems, i guess). =/

It is my understanding that WhatToMine API is not as robust as an Exchange.  They also want to avoid others to capitalize on the work they did.  I try to limit my Altcoin to the one that are worth looking after.

How many altcoin do you monitor right now?

I'd like to have a comprehensive sheet with most possibilities. So I've created there 60 lines(altcoins) to monitor. Isn't there any other place we could get info besides WTM?

I am looking into it.  It needs to be through a public API though.  There is a way to create this through block explorer API but it is a core in google script.  A program needs to be written for each coin.

Any other sites similar to this?

https://crypt0.zone/calculator

Also, if you can recommend any sites like jkcrypto, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

I build my own spreadsheet that pulls data to monitor the coin that I mine.

You can get it over here:

Thanks for the Crypto zone calculator...  Did not saw this.

Very useful, thank you for sharing

Thanks for the feedback.  Have a great week-end in cryptoland.

Hi guys

Nice job mate!

I want make something like your spreadshit but not based in wtm. I want to take the nethash from the Explorer and the price from different exchanges. I just dont know how to pull these values from exchange...

If anybody can help would be very nice!

All explorer have API interface for direct connection.  In the above google sheet you can chose Tools and then Script Editor.  This is the google script that is fetching data from Whattomine & Cryptocompare

This is a bigger job though.  Good luck and keep us posted.

Would love to check it out, did you take it down already since can't access the page atm?

Steemit.com seems to have issues this morning.  It is on and off.

Try it out later

I have something similar.

The issue with your file is that the most profitable coins are NOT on what to mine Smiley

So it is a good IDEA to add your own algos and calculations. It is quite easy to connect to blockexplorers API to get the hashrate and also add price API from coinmarketcap ( if it is listed) or even better right from the exchange.

Requires much more manual work though Smiley

EDIT: I also think your nethhash24h calculation is not entirely correct Smiley

New to this stuff.  You might be right about the calculation.  Going to each block explorer to get info would be a huge job though.  Any hint, I would take.

Thanks for the comments.

Useful stuff!

thanks!

Much appreciated.

You certainly can.  You do not need me to do so.  Just insert a line in the Algorithm sheet in the middle of it, sort the range by Algo name and here it is.

However, if the coin you wish to evaluate is not part of the coin on the whattomine/coin page this will not help you much.

Hi fellow miners,

I found that WhatToMine did not give me entire satisfaction.  I had to input my hashrate all the time, Some algos were not taken care of or some coin that I like was not included in the results.

I have created a google sheet to help me out.  You can try it out for yourself:

https://steemit.com/hashrate/@spriterqc/how-to-create-your-own-whattomine-spreadsheet

Instructions and google script included.  Consider this "Beta" stuff.  No warranty, only good faith

How much time it takes to see deposit on Cryptopia?

In wallet transaction is confirmed, but i do not see any coins on Cryptopia Huh

According to LUX block Explorer here:  https://chainz.cryptoid.info/lux/#!overview  the number of blocks per day has reduced a lot.  It is my understanding that if there is no transaction, no block is being generated.  As such, most of the Hashrate going into the network does not pay the miners.  At one block every 60 seconds LUX should generate 1440 blocks per day.  Yesterday less than 300 blocks were generated.  Is it because there is no transactions in the pipeline or something is chocking in the network?

I will be mining something else for the time being.

I am new to HIVE OS.
I have 2 ASUS 1050 TI GPU having 4GB DDR5 MEM.
i have setup all configuration and its working properly.
Now i want to use OC on ASUS card but not sure how to use and what values need to add.

Current hash rate is low compared to windows.

Under Unix the value you need to enter are the double what you are used to in windows.

Should you be using + 75 in Windows, this translate into +150
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: February 01, 2018, 12:58:29 AM
Interesting that you took Equihash out of the list but kept so many others in there.  I've been tempted to limit my miners down to 3, Equihash, Lyra2re2 and Neoscrypt, but I've heard some good things about Blake in this thread.  I find that currencies mined with Skein don't usually stay profitable for more than 10-15 minutes before fallen back down again, or at least that was my impression.

Are you guys auto-converting?
Equihash is out because not supported on ahashpool Wink

This last 24h, most used algos were :
1.2. (very close) blake2s & tribus
3.4. (very close too) skein & x17
5. nist5
6. phi
7. lyra2v2
8. neoscrypt

And ahashpool autoconvert in BTC yes
Did 0,006 BTC these last 24h (did some tweaks/power on&off on rigs, not my best day btw)

If you guys have other feedback about daily income

Ah, gotcha.  I'm on MPH, wonder why it isn't supported on AHashpool.  For me Equihash usually owns 4 out of the top 5 slots for most profitable coins(ZEN/ZCL/BTG/ZCL) With FTC popping up every now and then.  I've been sticking primarily with more well known coins but maybe I should diversity with another pool with some smaller coins as well.

Yiimp with Keccackc (CREA) was not too bad today.  Probably in line with Blake2S on Zpool

Anybody has leveraged the API to get data from ZPOOL in a Google Sheet?

I tried but got lost in the proceed.   Huh I believe though that should I have something to start with I could achieve what I want.

Thanks for your support...

I was able to get LibreOffice Calc to make an external data link to the WhatToMine.com website. It gives me real-time info without all the stupid flashing pop-ups and extra crap no one wants to see. It's rough going, since I'm not a VB programmer. I had to write some macros to fire when the sheet opens, closes, and updates the highest-paying coin.

So this is working in Excel then?  Can I have a look at it?  Maybe I can leverage this for me and the community.
