Just out of curiosity, where are all the statements about “buy Gulden now at these ridiculous low prices, you never get a chance like this anymore!” ?

Oh wait, it’s probably because you know the chain is locked and miners have piled up a shitload of coins ready to dump once mr wonderful has saved the day corrected his own error.

Sub 600sat incoming folks!

And there it is:

Does anybody have an egg timer?

The trading charts have Gulden bottoming out between 350 and 450 sat.
It will reverse to around these levels and remain stable for the next year, with minor fluctuations.

There will be a lot of angry and frustrated people out there and will take a lot of time for healing to take place before confidence is restored. it's important you don't buy any coin today expecting it to bounce next month.

Bear markets can outlast mid term investors and those needing to make rental money.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: August 13, 2018, 06:43:16 AM
I contacted bittrex straight away after I read the FuD on this forums.

Bittrex-julian told me they won't remove Gulden because of the amount of Gulden traders they have. He said Bittrex have a mandate to service their customers as a priority and since crypto is decentralized not even the development teams can tell them what to do.

The only case they remove the coins is if the blockchain breaks and they can't get in contact with the developers, they give time for independent developers to sort out the coins.

The FuD about a bittrex removal can STOP, it's not going to happen!!!!

Can we get back to talking about how freaking great witnessing is, setup my first account a week ago and already earned 120 Gulden.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Which top 50 coin will copy Guldens innovation first? on: May 18, 2018, 08:26:22 AM
On the 28th June Gulden is about to release the largest update in crypto history (Yes ETH was the largest release) which will advance the blockchain forward. Call it blockchain 2.0, however Gulden doesn't have rich people or wall street investment to prop the prices up which leaves their innovation open to copy and not being credited for it.

On the 28th June the currently ranked 265 coinmarketcap coin will be releasing the following.

https://twitter.com/gulden/status/996329535393222656?s=21

1. PoW2

https://gulden.com/pow2

2. SegSig - 58% transaction saving, more then twice as good as SegWit. This will make Gulden the most efficient blockchain

3. Sonic (Smaller project) - 66% improvement on initial sync times

Obviously you can't have coins in the top 50 being out done by a coin that's not even ranked top 200, so if a coin that has the crypto media and investment behind them had to copy PoW2 or SegSig they could really get a lot of hype. Question is which coin will it be first?!

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: April 24, 2018, 07:54:38 AM
I notice the less updates the higher the price, everytime Nocks or Gulden team make an update the ranking drops on coinmarketcap. Is not better to rather try put all the funding into hyping gulden into the top 50 instead of doing development. This would be good for investors wanting quick profits.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: April 11, 2018, 08:25:55 AM
I noticed Gulden is ranked 220 on coinmarketcap, is everything ok with the dev team, no one has left the project for this low rank?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: March 15, 2018, 08:13:33 AM
Started rebuying Gulden, wish they had posted the sneak preview sooner and I wouldn't of sold in the first place, believe or not it's not that easy to buy a decent bulk amount on bittrex without driving the price up. I don't care if they take another 3 months to release at least I CAN SEE the work is being done.

Sneak peak of one of the Gulden testers:

 Grin

I sold my Gulden for a loss but it was well played by the team. It was my fault I didn't do research on the previous updates, if I had read the August update I would never have invested in this coin 6 months later when they claimed SegSig would not add to the delays.

Looking foreward to the “Sneak Peaks” of the new wallets. Hopefully we will see some next week! 🎉🚀

Are the "Sneak Peaks" coming end of March, with written update end of April, more sneak peaks end of May, another written update end of June?

You can stop second guessing. Let the Dutch handle this. Pow2 and Segsig are real!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfa8fC93Pds

A lot of dumping to take place by Friday if no sneak peaks.

Ah, I see you found a glassbulb somewhere.

Well I disagree with you. I think Gulden has a great future ahead of itself. Only question is: will you be part of it? I am following the Warren Buffet stategy. Invest in stuff you believe in. Not just on price. That will get you fooled to easily. But on product. And the promise it beholds. Gulden is on the brink of writing history. Not just for your wallets. But for crypto as an industry. What the Gulden development team is trying to pull off is a giant leap foreward for the sector. It will change how financials works, how banks work and how governments work. Just give them some slack, to do it right.

Sneak peak is another delay tactic. Wait a month for a sneak peak will only signal another 6 months to develop.

I wouldn't panic yet, I expect the sneak peak to be out this week.

Why does it take this long to post a "sneak peak" when the release is almost done? They posted the update on Friday, it's already Tuesday and nothing!?!?!

Not that anyone gives a shit but I will be selling my stock if the sneak peak isn't revealed by Friday as I am sure we are being played or the development team is hiding something that has gone wrong with the PoW2 and SegSig update. I could be wrong but Friday is a personal deadline and will be investing further in other projects.

Funny to see all the emotion flip from "It's dying! Rijk is ...." to "Moon! Heil Rijk!"... just by some news post. #showusthecode

Like, half of that news could have been posted a month (or two) ago... communication is still bad.

I am pleased with the update but yes it could be another 6 month delay tactic.

I don't think this is the case.

Quote
February has seen us address all of the above, as well as other things, at this point the dev team is busy putting the finishing touches on the UI; watch out for some sneak previews to follow!

My reasoning is the December update has UI as the 4th item they testing.

https://dev.gulden.com/what-are-our-testers-testing-for-the-gulden-2-0-update/

I am personally waiting for the official release date to buy up coins as I can workout how much supply will still come before the 20% PoW reward drop. The update will bring more users and less dumping from miners.

From a pure investment PoV this is good news in itself.

I cringe to think what the price is going to be after 1st March when development is not ready.

Price will be at it's lowest before the 1st March according to the charts I am reading. Gulden will have it's $5900 moment like bitcoin before returning to about $70 million marketcap while waiting on further development news.

Gulden should get to 0.08 Euros before the trend changes upwards.IE The fear sellers will be close to being finished and the smart money buying up will be greater then the sellers.

The mental warfare on this announcement page is peaking PoF (Proof of fear) and another 20% drop will be PoD (Proof of despair)

To Developers, please wake up and actively release some good news!!!

we are running out of time to catch up the up trend

As I see this, NLG not showing the same uptrend at the moment is a very good sign, especially for future investors.
If you search for a long term investment coin, which one would you trust more:
The one which has nearly the identical chart like bitcoin with high volatility with often no apparent reason or the one which keeps at a constant value while no big news are available?

Keep in mind that if an asset reacts intensely to good news it will most likely do so for bad news too. I myself am content with NLG not being the same rollercoaster on the markets as most other coins.

No one cares about anything but the PoW2 and SegSig release, if you want the trend to change upwards we all have to wait on the developers to produce what they promised.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Gulden a good investment? on: February 08, 2018, 08:49:35 AM

Scams have been winning in this market make no mistake about it, anyone who invested in scams would of made a lot more money then investing in Gulden in the short term. The only way scammers can be beat is through coins with real development teams that are driving blockchain technology forward.

I made a post about this 2 months ago but decided not to let it affect me anymore. It's frustrating watching scams making scammers and people who get out at the top rich.

The other problem Gulden has is anyone outside of the EU can't get Gulden easily because bittrex have closed registrations since December last year. This prevents new international users from buying Gulden and another reason this coin is not in the top 100 where it should be.

Until Nocks gets other currency pairings added, Gulden won't reach it's full potential in terms of price but if the PoW2 and SegSig update does come, it will be ahead of the other blockchains by far. It's going to be strange to see a coin not in the top 100 better then coins in the top 20.

It will be in the top 50 after the update, I don't want to predict when the update is coming because of the constant delays. The risk you take is buying at these prices expecting the update to come or wait until an announcement is made and buy at that price which could be lower then what it is today.
My recommendation if you following Gulden on twitter and you have 24 hour access to bittrex or Nocks is buy as the announcement is made. Stay in btc or cash until then.

I don't agree with btc or cash, only cash. Bitcoin got capitulated at $8500 and it's going to go lower next week.

Wait for bitcoin to drop between $2000 - $5000 level , buy bitcoin and then buy Gulden. The release is a long way off according to other posters here and in the next few months bitcoin will be lower then it is today.

Facts remain facts people!

The statement that drew my attention was as follows:

"No one can be held accountable for anything in Gulden, for Gulden is nothing. There is no company and no one gets paid to do anything. There is no authority and everyone is able to contribute the way they like"

This is the short version of this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1495990.msg29510851#msg29510851

Well, here come the facts:

- Gulden is a blockchain based token that is centrally managed and developed by a company called Gulden.com B.V.
- The company has several people on it's payrol, including Rijk Plasman and his brother Rits Plasman.
- The company pays a hired developer in South Africa, Malcolm Macleod by the hour for software development.
- The salaries and invoices from these people are paid from funds that were attracted by selling shares to the community.
- Those shares are backed by Gulden tokens that were reserved in the premine that was initially meant to be fairly distributed among the Dutch citizens for free.
- A vast majority of the active community has always been against this self-enrichment by the team.
- Although the BV was created at a later stage (to prevent tax fraud charges), it's a fact the team is paid for their involvement for over 2 years now.
- By deciding to pay Malcolm for his work with community funds and drawing fulltime salaries for himself and family Rijk should accept he is accountable for any progress by this team. That includes delays and failure as well.
- Since Gulden.com is a centralized platform, owned by a single person who bans everyone that criticizes his decisions it's fair to state there is an authority at work here.

We already have over 5 different ANN's on this forum alone of which the last one is so heavily moderated it looks more like a blog. They are already at their third Slackchanel, that is totally off limits to anyone that even dares to comment on anything the company decides.

So, my personal conclusion would be, base your decision on facts, rather than the lies that the Gulden zombies try to feed you here!

Has any development taken place since the 600 btc, how do we know it hasn't been used on Island holidays, drugs and prostitutes? Living the high life and only have to work on excuses for the delays.

I know the iOS link feature was added by MaNI end of 2017, and a lot of desktop wallet updates.
Rijk looks like a honest guy from the article photos, I doubt he is banging hookers all night long with bitcoin, do hookers accept bitcoin in NL ?

In the event he is banging some class A hookers to relieve some stress , what precautions are taken by companies pimping these bitches out , that they don't have any sexually transmitted diseases?

Give the devs a chance to finish up PoW2 and SegSig this month before talking about whether the devs have cockrot or not.

This is the coin I want to drop fast in price but it's the one coin that is not dropping fast. I want to buy a lot more of these. Let's hope the Asian traders on bittrex dump soon.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Gulden a good investment? on: February 01, 2018, 02:53:07 PM
This coin has the potential to pass litecoin within 2-3 years with the development they have underway but I would like the price to go under 1500 one more time.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Gulden a good investment? on: January 29, 2018, 11:39:40 AM
Long term this coin is a buy at these prices. Short term traders will use fear of the delay in the update to push the prices down. Take advantage below 2000 sat.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Gulden a good investment? on: December 28, 2017, 09:30:32 AM
There is a whale trying to get more coins, forcing sell orders lower but doesn't want their coins sold. They moved there sell wall up from 1210 to 1400, as soon as the price gets close they will remove the sell order again and place it higher. Watch!

Is there a name for such practice?

You force the build of up of sales below the sell wall and when said whale is ready to buy up he gets a lot more Gulden. Standard trading tactics, it's a good thing, if the sales were thin it means they want to sell.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Gulden a good investment? on: December 23, 2017, 02:06:49 PM
I spoke to a few Dash community members about Gulden and PoW2 and SegSig. They said with Dash masternodes it provided stability and people with enough Dash to become their own central banks. PoW2 will be what attracts people to Gulden and ultimately have a positive effect on the price.
One of the more technical guys I spoke to, said he was watching Gulden but didn't think that SegSig would be possible, he also said SegSig wouldn't bring in the money like PoW2 as general users won't care about it but it's technically one of the best updates that has been done in blockchain history. The long term benefits of SegSig cannot be underestimated as blockchains become used more.

I told them that since it's in testing it has been achieved and the release date should be imminent, 2018 is going to be a good year for the Gulden.

Will 1 million coins give good interest?

You don't need that much, only 5000 to witness but you do get better rewards the more coins you have. Anything between 80 000 and 120 000 would be more then enough and trying to buy a million coins at these low prices would push up the prices by 50%.
The total supply is 358 million and if everyone tries to witness with 1 million coins it would mean only 358 people could possibly witness. This is why 100 000 which is still more then most will witness with is a good amount.

Draining the swamp won't require a 50% increase.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Gulden a good investment? on: December 20, 2017, 01:45:51 PM
Dev team has made a update about testing,

https://dev.gulden.com/what-are-our-testers-testing-for-the-gulden-2-0-update/

20-12-2017

What are our testers testing for the Gulden 2.0 update?
We have had this question come up from many community members so we thought it would be a good time to break down the parts involved. The 2.0 update involves tens of thousands of lines of code that effect every layer of the software, from the blockchain consensus, the transaction script layer to the network layer and UI. While the bulk of the code has been written and reviewed there is simply no replacement for repeated real world testing by multiple parties and this is what the testing phase is all about.

1. Phase 1 to 5 upgrade script for PoW2 and SegSig compatibility.
The above process eliminates the need for an immediate messy hard fork; allowing time for everyone to upgrade cleanly while also bringing the witnessing functinality into use as fast as possible. With the amount of services reliant on Gulden we have to keep downtime to an absolute minimum.

2. Witnessing balance in practise compared to theory.
The development team have come up with a new testnet called fastnets where each person can run their own simulations alongside our main testnet. This gives our testers the ability to fast track the results of witnessing.

3. SegSig introduces a completely new transaction format with up to 58% smaller transactions.
This new format needs to be tested in multiple ways to ensure that it works in all cases and for all transaction types and that no unexpected issues are introduced.

4. When it comes to user interface design nothing beats real user feedback.
As we reach the final part of testing our UX team and developers will be working closely with users to ensure that the interface is one that all users can use and not just the technically minded.

5. iOS and Android 2.0 compatibility testing.

6. Aside from SegSig and PoW², version 2.0 also introduces dozens of other bug fixes and various new upstream functionality.
While the main focus is on SegSig/PoW² it is important that all other functionality is also retested to not let any surprise issues through.

Is there a whitepaper to back all this up? I find it hard to believe a coin not even ranked in the top 150 has the expertise to do a update of this magnitude.
