Anyone else experiencing problems moving coins? Kraken-> Trex doesn't seem to be working or is at least super slow

Not sure if this is allowed here but interested in opinions of others who think coins should be no ico, no premine. There is a community driven Ethereum fork called UBIQ that seems to be doing some good work on the codebase but has no premine and no ICO, just wondered if any of you guys have thoughts on a project like that in general and/or this one specifically?

Whatever the 'reason' buy side is ramping up and coins for sale lower than it has been - volume very strong.

Bullish (for now) - and BTC seems out of steam for breaking 750 and staying over.

Will sell a few as I don't think this run will take us back up all the way, but it's a spike worth playing a little.

Maybe the GUI really is Soon™, who knows....

The GUI was ready a week ago, Devs said there is nothing more they can do before release. Seems like it's only Fluffy holding up the release now unless some other bug was found that I haven't seen written publicly about yet.

Please read more carefully when you try to repeat something. The GUI is in a frozen code ready state, not everything that can be done is done state, also it is not fluffy holding up, but they are waiting for another fix for an issue with the daemon so there will be a new point release ( 0.10.1 ) as the GUI and the old release 0.10 do not work properly together ... so one needs the other to get a GUI beta release for the public.
So please stop calling names if you do not know what you are doing. Attitudes like that can drive away good people.

Which Fluffy said would take a couple of days to do. . . 8 days ago. So unless something else came up (which I assume it has) then it should have been released end of last week.

Nice to have a XMR rally that isn't tied to a bitcoin dive.  That seems meaningful, since the alphabay rally.

Offer levels could be better though...

If by meaningful you mean very likely 'insider trading' then yeah sure - great news for XMR

Now it seems the perfect time to buy with the price so low. The prices will explode in a few days when the GUI is released.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/5cks6f/jaxx_monero_integration_update/

The GUI has become such a 'fuck you' issue to so many people who are/wanted to be invested in Monero that I think it's release could well be a poison pill for the price. I'd expect a roughly 5-10% spike before crashing to lower than it was when released.

edit: long term it's obviously a great GUI and good for price, I'm strictly talking about release hype

any guesses on the bottom  Huh

0.004x in 3-5 weeks
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: November 02, 2016, 01:23:03 PM
Anyone care to speculate on price and this bear market...?

Risto flipped to 'maybe 0.004', Aminorex is sadly absent.  We have seen bottoms below where I expected (I can't be alone in that), so it's tough for all of us who know Monero is sound and will rise again - but is all speculation dead while BTC looks this bullish?

Are we just waiting...?

My thoughts?:

I have said here and elsewhere that I can't see a serious rise for a while - probably not even until Spring.

But does anyone want to polish their crystal ball and take a guess at where the bottom is or even when stability will come...  And will we hold value in USD terms even if BTC does moon...?

This is Monero Speculation, right?  Wink

Anyone who thinks this is going anywhere right now other than to the 0.004x range is blind, stupid or both.

I think this is just a momentary bounce, 0.006 will be tested again today.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 29, 2016, 01:20:39 PM
Survived the first attack on 0.007 but it's going to have to hold at least once or twice more today - my guess is it won't be able to and we will move to 0.0065 for a while before testing 0.006 in about 4-6 hours from now

It all depends on what btc does

It really doesn't right now actually.

There were some bigger buys coming in when we just dropped to 0.00715 but it doesn't seem like enough to me to reverse the trend. I'm sad to say it looks like some sticky-ness just north of 0.007 for the next few hours before another drop back to test 0.006. I do see some secenarios where 0.006 bursts and we flash drop to 0.004x before a quick rebound back to 0.006.

Going to stick a few bids in and see what happens.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 29, 2016, 08:38:51 AM
Don't see how 0.007 doesn't get tested this weekend if that busts then 0.006 seems a certainty. I'd like to think it couldn't go lower than that though. This zcash hype is going to keep rolling and a rising bitcoin is a double whammy short term. Even a GUI release now wouldn't make much of a ripple imo.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 20, 2016, 07:43:43 PM
I've been monitoring 10 different searches on AB since the launch 7/10 have seen an increase. 4/10 categories have roughly doubled the offerings since launch.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 10, 2016, 12:01:47 PM
The pain was getting too painful. I had to step away for a while. Wasn't expecting to see this when I came back. Dare I cautious optimism? Smiley

Pain?  I must have missed that part.  I did buy some yesterday.  I promised that when it went up I would sell and lock in profit.  Well it went up today and I didn't sell.  I fall for that trick every time  Grin

I did however contribute today to the future work of moneromoo.  Inside scoop, there will very shortly be a funding proposal for development of i2p, the kovri project.  So TrueCryptonaire and N-rG you will have another chance to help insure the success of the coin you believe in.

I have proposed that the mining rewards were used in funding development but nobody agrees with it. Now you guys are begging money from me...  Huh

Now and in the past scrooge mc duck.  I guess you will continue to let others contribute to help insure the success of the coin you "believe" in and just sit back and reap the benefits.

Make it a question. It's a good one.

It has been a question that has been discussed by the community quite a while ago, the result of which is the current system we have. Here is the latest request that I mentioned would be coming.  It is a very important piece for the vision of Monero and anonimal is very good.

Also I found something interesting yesterday.  Buying at these prices as I did 2 days ago raises my buy average significantly more than donating Moneroj.  The results you get are ofc dependent of your specific situation so YMMV.

Donated a chunk to this project - well worth every moneroj.

Does anyone here margin trade on Poloniex?

I'd like to think I'm not a complete moron when it comes to margin trading but I can't seem to get it to work.

There are plenty of loans out on the table and for the price I set in my margin buys at, however, when making a trade I get the message 'Insufficient loans to cover trade'.

What am I doing wrong?

The book varies at an alarming rate.  You need to raise your rate limit I would guess.  Don't be so cheap  Grin

I couldn't more agree on this statement. I am giving both btc and xmr loans out and I prefer higher rates to lower rates on both coins.

To get both of you in one go, I have tried it all. =/ I'll even sit there with an open order, refreshing the lending page, and I stare blankly at open lending offers that match my order. I am at such a loss. Bagholding from the start, but wanting to make that little extra.

Have you moved the coins into your margin account? If they are in your exchange account they can't be used for margin positions.

Can we start a fund to raise capital for a full time developer or two perhaps?

The Great wall has been lifted... Time to return to your regular programming which is already in progress!

Back to the Bull Rush!

EDIT: The new "half wall" is back up... If I had the resources I'd eat that up! I appreciate the opportunity to pick up more but the wall is impending growth and stopping momentum. Enough is enough!

there was just a 777btc wall @0.01993179 and within a few seconds there were 27, 59 and 29 btc buys of it, and it was then very quickly pulled Grin

It's been going on for hours now, keeps getting pulled and moved whenever it's eaten at

This buy book just keeps reloading - I don't think this move is done by a long shot.

No XMR transactions reported yesterday on alphabay.

I guess darknet traders just don't care. Junkies are not really the brightest crowd.

I expect to see XMR back at a reasonable price within the next week or two, 0.05 - 0.07 is reasonable taking the current ATH network difficulty into account, everything
above is just speculation.

Well this is just wrong I know for a fact there were transactions in XMR on AB yesterday
