1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WTF is happening with NXT? Fucking Nothing!!! on: November 16, 2014, 10:32:53 AM

Quick buck?  Like people who put in $150 and made $4 million on NXT?  Yes please buy NXT Smiley  Make the rich whales richer Smiley Smiley

People made that kind of money on NXT? That's incredible. Can you back that up?

Yup, the founder BCNext sold all the NXT over a period of 2 months here in this subforum to 72 people who payed in total 21 btc, when btc was valued around $100. 10 to 20 people payed the maximum allowed amount of 1 btc, and received each 50 million coins (the total was 1 billion coins to be distributed).

So these people invested $100 for 50 million coins, that they received somewhere in November 2013. The price exploded the month after once the software was released and NXT started trading on the first exchange, dgex. 2 months later 50 million NXT peaked out at a value of $5 million, today it is worth still $1 million.

From nothing to multimillionaire in 2 months is what happened to around 20 people. All the other 50 people that invested on average say 5 times less, 0.2 btc/$20 also made $100k each!
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Trading Thread for Nxt :: Descendant of Bitcoin on: October 22, 2014, 05:58:46 PM
Today on NXT Asset Exchange:

  • Sell Wall of 60 mgwBTC (=60 BTC) for 16500 NXT/BTC for a total price of 1 Million NXT. (= 0.00006060 BTC/NXT)
  • And another sell wall of 170 mgwBTC (=170 BTC) for 17500 NXT/BTC for a total price of 3 Million NXT! (= 0.00005714 BTC/NXT)

http://www.nxtreporting.com/?as=4551058913252105307

Very impressive, you can instantly sell your NXT in your NXT client by adding 'mgwBTC' asset (ID: 54551058913252105307) in your 'Asset Exchange' section, and then once you bought mgwBTC with your NXT, you go to the 'NXT Services' section that appeared after installing the Multigateway plugin, and there you can fill in the BTC address where you want to withdraw your BTC to. You guys have to try harder. This temporary pullback is nothing compared to this one:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=48850.0

Can you imagine the pressure back then after 32 to 1.98? And I was the only one fighting off bears like you. Lol!

This is one big yawn.

You made some great calls, it's been a while though. Wink

I'm sure your permabull call will sooner or later be right again but even a broken clock is right twice a day.

who only have like 2 bitcoins.

You're either a despicable person, or you don't have a single clue about the result of 21,000,000 / (bitcoin_users_count) in a couple years.
Either way, you just don't have a clue about bitcoin.

Kouye, you are either an asshole or a dick, which is it?
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are all your friends telling you to cash out, too? on: November 28, 2013, 08:57:59 PM
I'm quite frustrated by this right now.

Girlfriend doesn't want to hear about bitcoins.
Parents tell me I am a dreamer and it's just virtual money unlike the 50k Euro they put in a deposit bank account as a gift to me two months ago but forbid me to use it for buying coins. What a waste.

Friends don't want to hear about bitcoins either and rather love giving me free unwanted advice to sell it all.
I cannot celebrate with any-fucking-body except a few old timers from the bitcoin meetup. That is sad.

I should use some to buy me a fucking GT-R and decorate it all around with giant bumper stickers in the shape of middle fingers.

That sucks Sad

10  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: announcement: the international "when-bitcoin-reaches 1000,- $ party" on: November 28, 2013, 06:34:30 PM
This cool guy says he will also come, your party is getting famous! Cool

I might come as well, but what's with the price, I mean $1000, is that not too much for a ticket? What will you offer me for that?

Remember guys, if bitcoin goes mainstream and your investment makes you rich ... these are the same people who will tell you how "lucky" you are.

This is happening to me as we speak... i was trying really hard to persuade them to risk some pocket money to buy btc back in 2011-12. Got tired trying and just stopped talking about it. Now they tell me that i am lucky bustard.

Doh, it's hard to understand people : )

I really hate such 'friends', frankly I think it's assholish and I disconnect from them.

A friend should support you, help you, not work against you and then when you do succeed, dismiss it with 'lucky'. It angers me.

After many years of suffering I think I understand people finally, there are just a lot of assholes and bitches, especially among 'family', replace them with nice people and your life greatly improves!  Cool

No offence taken but your understanding of economics with regard to your statements above are a little lacking, if not ignorant to basic fundamentals.

You are not making an argument here.

You say bitcoin price will go up if war erupts. I say, no it won't go up if war errupts. And you respond saying I don't understand economics? Well, I think you don't understand economics.

Please explain why bitcoin would go up if war erupts in Syria? Or why bitcoin price would go up (in short term!) if Indian Rupee continues to drop?
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I hope it crashes hard so I can buy for FAIR price! on: September 07, 2013, 07:00:26 PM
So I'm wondering if my thread here is succeeding in convincing people to sell or not buy, instead of hold or buy?

After all, I want cheap coins  Cheesy

Serious question though, I'm curious?
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I hope it crashes hard so I can buy for FAIR price! on: September 07, 2013, 06:54:07 PM
Sub $100 dollar bitcoin is possible, but only after the next bubble pop. With all the pending developments in the short term, BTC is going to increase in price. If you can buy BTC sub $120, there is good profit to be made in the short term.

Euhm, what pending developments?

Seriously?

It's not that amount of transactions is going up...

Just like 2011 bubble, I think it will take a year minimum before we see some decent innovation coming from the new players attracted by the recent bubble. I mean innovation that leads to increased usage of bitcoin, just like Satoshi Dice did in 2012.

So at best in 2014 somewhere. Until then down the tube with this overvalued beast!!!

However, I have no clue what application that will be, you?

Please share, maybe I can become rich after all  Cool

One development in the short term is the pending approval of the Bitcoin ETF. When that gets announced, you can expect a nice pop. Secondly, with the uncertainty in the middle east, ie. pending US attack, another pop. Thirdly, the devaluation of currencies around the world, ie. India. There are lots of things going on that is very favorable in regards to Bitcoin. Oh did I mention the microscope Bitcoin is under via Governments, and how to make it safer for the general population.

Oh, I see, I have a permabull on hands here. Rosy glasses.  Wink

Let me pop that bubble for you, one by one:

- Bitcoin ETF, no way this will be approved in 2013. Maybe by the end of 2014. M A Y B E
- Bitcoin does not go up due to political global events.  Don't believe for a second that price went up because of Cyprus, that's just plain BS. War will have zero influence on price of bitcoin. Deflationary collapse and bank defaults would only have a negative influence on bitcoin price in short term. If any... India currency collapsing and you think they will flee to bitcoin? Common, serious. You really believe that? Long term I agree, short term NOPE.
- Regulators clamping down on bitcoin a positive for short term price.  Huh Where do I even start here?

I'm getting the impression you are one of those suckers I address in my opening post. I guess you are all in, right?  Cool

Keep hope alive buddy. Maybe take an economics class or too, as you clearly have a poor grasp on this subject and cause and effect.

That's a strong argument you are making there  Grin

Sorry to be In Your Face.

I just need to let go off some steam and you are the victim. I'm sorry.

Let me make up, I think you are wise to hold for the long term. Ignore my bitching and hold, I agree you will do likely very well.
