Hi Folks, Anybody using NZBCX in New Zealand, I transferred $600 on the 1st of Nov. I am still waiting for it to hit my Account. I have e-mailed them several times . But as yet not received a reply. A far as I can see orders are still being filled. Which I fine odd.
I'm hoping someone is away on holiday. Any of you Folk have experience with this exchange. Thanks
just like in USA I would never do a large transaction especially to stock an atm machine online.
Use localbitcoin and meet somewhere public and bring a friend with you as a witness. I have heard some people record the conversation for safety when over 2 grand just in case.
I would hope to be operating at more efficient level than that though. Going out to meet people on Localbitcoin.com would be a real inconvenience.
I feel I have convinced a business in Wellington NZ to start accepting Bitcoin. It a fairly busy CBD Bar Restaurant. I might also suggest a Bitcoin ATM. But I have no experience of this sort of business. A few questions. How do I secure a supply of BTC in NZ? How secure are Bitcoin ATM's? Do they run of wifi?
I have a load more questions.
I would love to hear you suggestions and experiences.
Thanks
Hey,
I live in Wellington and am keen to use bitcoin at the restaurant. Which one is it? The best exchange in NZ so far is https://nzbcx.com/. You can buy and sell a reasonable volume of BTC from there. There are a few other exchanges and localbitcoins. I am not sure the market is big enough for an ATM at this stage but who knows. I am happy to help in any way I can.
Cheers
Nick
Hi Nick, Thanks for that.I have just set up an account with NZBCX.com. I have been away for a while so happy to see a new exchange open in New Zealand. Regarding the Wellington business. Once I've got the guy set up. I'll let you know where it is.

Here's the thing, Theoretically they have no information on me other than my email adddress. Me presenting a photo ID Doas not prove anything.
Secondly In their Privacy policy They say they will Never ask for personal info over Email.
What is the best way to resolve this issue.
Thanks
Theoretically means you used fake address and name on the website? Its strange that they break their rules. The only thing they can proof with you holding your id is that they know there is a person that has an id. But you could have taken that picture from somewhere from the net.
It sounds a bit like you dont want to do it because you know it will bring trouble to you. You spend so much time on avoiding it too. Normally one would give in when it becomes to stressfull. Am i wrong?
When I signed up I gave them just my first name and my email address. They have no other personal information. Like i said before I still have login access. Im not trying to hide anything. I just want to find a solution to a problem. That doesn't involve me putting my Passport or drivers licence online for all and sundry to see.
I have been with BTCjam for some almost 2 years now. I have lent a small amount of Bitcoin through them. I do this because I love the idea of micro loans through Bitcoin. I have just about broken even over the time. I'm not worried about that.
My issue is. I have 2 Factor Authentication enabled. I broke my phone. And more fool me lost My 2FA key to re enable it.
I still have login access to the site.
I emailed BTCjam and they want me to send a photo of me holding a photo ID for verification.
I feel this is unreasonable.
Are my feelings justified?
What is the best and secure way to resolve this issue?
I had the same problem with BTC-e. They resolved it by having a link to to unlocking 2FA and barring me from using the site for 2 weeks.
Is anybody concerned about this site being out of action for nearly a day now. Its a bit lite on info as to why its down? It gives no idea how long it will be down for. I would love to access my BTC .
I'm a user of Bitnz. Its off line now. I wonder about my bitcoins there? Should one expect a warning email before a site goes offline for maintenance ? It's not hard to do is it? Eh Daniel? Hope I'm not going to get fucked again. It'd would depress me a lot. Peace
Hi everybody, I have a qt wallet with some coins in it. I have a very long pass phrase. 85 characters (I think) Is there a limit on the amount of characters you can input on the Qt wallet? IE. while I may have inputted 85 characters dose the wallet truncate to a lesser amount? Regards and thanks.
