Hi there! I've been out of the game for a few years now. If I recall correctly there was a 10k Lumen/Stellar giveaway or something close to it back in 2016-2017. Does anyone remember how it was hosted? I can't seem to find where I received mine ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) If you are talking about giveaway for BTC holders then it has happened. As I remember to be eligible for it you was needed to prove the ownership of BTC address and provide XLM address for the drop. I have received mine but don't remember how many. https://www.stellar.org/blog/bitcoin-claim-lumens-2?locale=enThat is article with details of that airdrop as I remember I received mine on that time according my holding and still have into my wallet. Everything written in details about that so take a look there. Thank you! It must have been this I was thinking of ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Nothing actually. I am already contented to what Bitcoin offers. Maybe low-fees are the features that I would look forward to, but I won't expect any coin that could accomplish the same. I would be surprised if one did. Most coins these days don't survive the night. In that case you're gonna love the future as there are so many alts who improved btc whilst btc is still an option ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

A coin that promises and delivers actual low-fee transactions where the fee is not affected by congestion.
How low fees are we talking?
|
|
|
Amongst all the altcoins out there, which features are you still looking for that currently does not exist and/or is only at the development stage?
Perhaps we can get a thread collecting these different ideas and introduce new alts that already offer such features for those that have been looking without finding any.

Well, I've seen his transaction myself and it is 10k. Perhaps that was even earlier then, I don't know. The question isn't how much however, but how they were handed out. I only need to figure out where they were sent or who they were sent from to access them.

We got some 1000 or something first and the rest was never given. Did it happen later on? I got here to ask the same question ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) I know it happened because a friend of mine got his. I never spent them, I just have no clue where I might have stored them so trying to figure out if there are any old timers here who might remember where they were first handed out.

What does the community think of having a Bitbay browser that would pay in Bitbay for usage like Brave browser pay in bat, I think it would help market Bitbay...
I think with the limited resources atm there are better ways to put them to use. We are not big in the game right now and I don't see how the browser would change that. The main issue is lack of bigger exchanges that also opens up for US traders. I am aware that the exchange is the priority atm, was just an idea for the future is all ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Ah okay. I think lots of stuff can work once we have a solid userbase to be honest because the product is there and working (besides web marketplace right now). The tricky part in my opinion is not how we can make use of such things as a BitBay Browser, but how we can lay the groundwork for said userbase. With good volume going and trading also open for US customers I think we can afford to try out projects like you suggested.

So the downloadable marketplace is working with the peg bayR and bayL already and the web market place will do in the future? Then the project is pretty much complete?
The project isn't 100% complete, but it is 100% operative. There will still be made improvements, however all major and necessary checkpoints are marked off now that the peg is working. If BitBay gets on a bigger exchange that's also available for US customers, the team will be able to generate some funds for marketing so that it can blow off!

Now this is not exactly a stablecoin per say, but if you are interested in a coin that can hold it's price, protect against dumps yet still increase in value you should check out Bitbay (not the exchange). It's a unique coin with what I would call a revolutionary "dynamic peg". All it needs is some volume and it really shows what brilliant piece of technology it is. And no, it's not pegged to a third asset of any kind.

I think I had see them before back in the old days, almost forgot about this one. Well if their marketing team are too lazy to do their work which is marketing chance the project will dying out, no matter what you think your project is. I personally think most of the top 50 or even top 20 are worth a crap technically and usefulness in real world, most are just a copy or fork of the others. Who ever going to use Ethereum classic and it's still worth almost a billion dollars?
It's not exactly that the marketing team is lazy or anything. The problem is that there are no more funds for marketing left after getting scammed out early on in the project by a core team member. He left with those funds. Things were coing really well when we were on Bittrex. Then they delisted us because they didn't want do deal with the advanced coding of the peg, even though they were offered help with it. Since lots of other exchanges were using Bittrex as a base we lost them too. On top of that all the others exchanges have just delisted us, some without giving a reason. So in the end we've spent lots of funds on exchanges that dropped us all of a sudden.

From the team: "We have found a split in the blockchain. Please do not send any Bay while we investigate. Also please keep staking. So, by the looks of it there will be a two-step fix. First we focus on getting everyone on the same side. That would be the Latoken side of the chain. While we do that, David and yshurik will work on an update that prevents this from happening again. We have a bootstrap for you that will take you to the right side https://github.com/bitbaymarket/bitbay-bootstrap/releases/tag/v1Everyone that is in sync with chainz download that and follow these instructions: 1. Stop client/wallet 2. Backup wallet.dat / keys 3. Remove all files in data folder except wallet.dat (and testnet/ if testnet was used) 4. Place bootstrap.dat in data folder (for client) or data dir (for Qt wallet) 5. Start client/wallet 6. Wait 2-4 hours" Also: To find out what side of the split you are on, you can do the following: For client enter this command in debugger: text=str(BLK.getblock("3e5b4548be900aa721f56815eda345ebec9f9e1bd81a3fb3b4a8c1839ef38b3d")) If it doesn't return a block or says that block isn't found its busy and just try it until it gives either that it wasn't found or it was found. If its found you are on wrong side. For QT try getblock 3e5b4548be900aa721f56815eda345ebec9f9e1bd81a3fb3b4a8c1839ef38b3d if it returns block, you are on the wrong side.
