I believe this to be a scam coin Cheesy

Dev's act like little kids, can't even get their coin to work

Apparently it's CPU only

MasterNodes being set up for 'staff members' who are coming online

Smells a fishy, see you in a few months Smiley

Can pools confirm if they're working?

Seems none can submit blocks..
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NO-ICO] [0% PREMINE] CREPCOIN: Friendly web environment crypto! on: February 11, 2018, 09:48:03 PM
I stopped mining this coin because I still have no idea what the purpose of the coin is. What exactly does it provide or accomplish that other coins dont already? The roadmap doesnt give me confidence either. I hope this project does well and I will come back when I see real progress and direction.

Okay bye, all you said in your post was the following:

- I'm going to stop collecting more coins than I already have
- I don't understand that a cryptocurrency doesn't need to have a purpose immediately other than allow users to send them (and their value) to each other, A specific purpose or purposes will come down the road once adoption occurs and niche markets start to open up including purposes when anonymity is required
- The initial road map doesn't make sense to me because I think a coin should have a purpose overnight (as if Bitcoin had a purpose back in 2009)
- I hope this project does well so the coins I have accumulated but am stopping to accumulate turn into profits because I'm a money hungry goblin

Developers will deliver on their developments and purposes will come, enjoy mining another coin in the mean time Smiley
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] www.PoolsofAUS.com - Australian Pools on: January 29, 2018, 11:33:37 PM
CREP fee has been reduced to 0.25% until the end of February

More pools will be coming soon, anyone suggest any coins they want to mine?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CREPCOIN: Cryptonight coin with friendly web-environment! on: January 28, 2018, 06:22:51 PM
At least if you cant deliver the graphic card for some reason say it... Dont stay silent. Lot of people went in mining cause of that card prize. This is deceiving to not get any anwser and almost being ignored.

Devs are spending time getting daemon and wallet ready for everyone

Im sure developers will update us soon Smiley

Hello

I would be interested in setting up a pool for pinkstar.

Would you happen to have a preconfigured config file for cryptonote pool for pinkstarcoin?

First person to sell 10 CREP on the exchange Smiley

Received an invite to the exchange and depositing some CREP already.

Devs I'm sure you're aware but the 'copy' buttons aren't working

Delivering on goals  Grin
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CREPCOIN: Start mining now with low H/S devices! on: January 18, 2018, 02:15:58 AM
As i said there is no need for gpu mining. We all with cpu mining what will do then? Make 10 coins the day with the cpu and the gpu miners will make 500?

Hope the max supply of the coins will remain 50million.

I also like CPU mining and use my GPUs for other cryptos... but mining should not really be centralized in one pool imo.  Wink With centralized mining *you can only hope* that the max supply stays 50 million  Tongue

So gpu mining is good for a coin? I think it will make cpu mining useless except the difficulty will be much bigger in gpus than cpus.

CPU mining is essentially useless.. This coin was never made to be CPU only and it will not happen.. sorry.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CREPCOIN: Start mining now with low H/S devices! on: January 18, 2018, 12:36:41 AM

cant log in as well. "not set"

that redflag virus alert pops out when you try to mine without logging in

I have no issues mining.
Wait till 21 January. If nothing happened then all miners will leave it. Any news from Dev?

It is possible that the dev is too bust trying to make the 21 January deadline for the release of GPU mining. Will just have to wait and see.

GPU mining is set to come in February 1st

21st is exchange however it doesn't matter whether it meets this day or not, people expect this coin to be good just 2 months after it comes out.. Where was Bitcoin 2 months after it started? What about litecoin?

Have some patience people

Not sure why but I missed this announcement until now. I'm always interested in mining new coins that looks promising. This coin certainly appears to have serious potential.

Don't worry, still time to mine with CPU Smiley
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CREPCOIN: Start mining now with low H/S devices! on: January 07, 2018, 10:25:38 PM
Hi,

You can pre-register on exchange site. We bring registration link before 21st january:

http://exchange.crepcoin.org/

Regards

I totally misread the question on the registration regarding which "cyptonote" coins I hold and just listed some coins I trade lol!
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CREPCOIN: Start mining now with low H/S devices! on: January 02, 2018, 09:50:01 PM
Dev

Are you aware that the wallet is not showing the balance correctly right?

I need to refresh the Overview page multiple times to get my balance, everytime.

Btw, the new miner is working good, cant wait to see CREP in a exchange.

Keep up the good work!

This is because the online wallet will load the updated blocks on the blockchain once you login. This is normal and nothing is wrong.

Please release a standalone wallet ASAP.

As long as the dev webpage, mining pool, blockchain and not the least - online wallet - are hosted on the same domain, this maybe-to-be coin is anything but decentralized.

Also, you gotta release source codes for the miners and details on how to configure alternative mining pools.

Until any of this happens, the devs control everything. This is so for a SINGLE NODE experiment, violating the core concept of cryptocurrencies.

Does everybody trust the dev team with all your coins?

Please read the thread completely, A standalone wallet is coming very shortly, this coin is less than 2 weeks old and precautions were taken to ensure only CPU mining via their website therefore spreading the opportunity to become a decent holder of CREP to people who don't have access to high-end or large quantities of GPU's.

There's a second pool which is supporting CREP coin and a standalone wallet will be coming very shortly.

Please don't come into this thread throwing accusations about the Dev's without reading their ideas first.

Is this the XMR algorithm?I see the official description of the XMR-STAK algorithm, which can be used to open mining when nvidia GPU?

There's a GPU and CPU version. Pool only supports the CPU version and anyone caught trying to connect via other mining software will be IP banned, please read the full thread.

However, maybe I'm confused about your question.. If you're asking whether you can mine with your nVidia GPU with XMR-STAK when GPU mining for CREP coin is available then yes.. yes you can.

Hi,dev, why all the webmine and the mine cannot work in win32 ?
any plane to develop win32 miner?

This is going to come across as rude but any plans to join the 21st century?
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CREPCOIN: Start mining now with low H/S devices! on: December 31, 2017, 04:42:55 PM
I'll pay 1 USD/1000 CREP

Direct message me how much you have and want to sell. Not interested in less than 1000 CREP. No upper limit.

Can pay with PayPal, or crypto of your choice.

This offer is only valid as long as web-mining is the only option.

You'll never take me creps
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CREPCOIN: Start mining now with low H/S devices! on: December 31, 2017, 07:43:27 AM
I see this is a cryptonote coin, I don't understand how can devices with low H/s be used. Dev?

If you took a minute to read the whole thread you would realize that people can ONLY mine via the web miner until February when the wallet etc will get released.

This ensures only CPU mining until then
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CREPCOIN: Start mining now with low H/S devices! on: December 30, 2017, 10:19:25 PM

It should work... you can roughly say you will get 1 CrepCoin per day per h/s.

Really? Mine is 24 H/s and I've got 5 CreepCoin/day.  I am using a laptop, don't know whether it is affected.

Creepcoin Grin Grin Grin Wink

it's okay people, just keep mining.

The developers have leveled the playing field for people entering into this coin so get as many devices as you can and enjoy Smiley

Alright, at the time of writing

Hashrate: 16.22 Kh/s
Miners: 168

That's an average hashrate of 96.54 H/s

On a new high-end computer, you can achieve that. But the vast majority sit on much slower machines. The expected average hashrate is A LOT lower.

The only reasonable explanation is that devs are mining themselves via their closed pool pool.crepcoin.org:3333 which is officially only accessible via the webmining proxy. I'm absolutely sure the devs are throwing cpuminer/GPU at it like crazy.

How else could 144k CREP already have been mined? See here: https://blocks.crepcoin.org/

Nice try, devs... You sure put a lot of effort into all of it. For nothing.

More unfair release ever.

You don't need good luck to try to explain this and turn the project around and achieve some sort of credibility. You need a miracle. Pray for CREP.
And no my friend, devs are not mining, and much less with GPU.

We only getting 2% from the pool fee. And sometimes mining with an intel i5 or Raspberry Pi 3 for testing.

If you are absolutely sure, well for you. Go to mine another coin.

I can accept that you say that coin is shit, I'm an idiot, or something like that. But this kind of accusations, as if you had the absolute truth in addition... go to another project topic for this things, please.

Regards

This response is perfect, personally I think CREP developers should mine some coins via GPU for advertising or bounty campaigns but that's just my opinion.

I can personally say I've been around 0.40-0.80k/hs myself just via using different devices and systems.

if one address has 3 computers mining, is that considered 1 miner(since it's 1 address) or 3?

1 mining address i believe

a mining address can have many workers.

e.g. 100 addresses mining if on average 3 devices are mining per address there's 300 devices mining at different hashes
