1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PXC] Phoenixcoin v0.6.6.1 ~ NeoScrypt Original ~ 4 Years Old on: March 21, 2018, 12:33:08 AM
Hi everybody.

In the last few days I tried to deposit my PXC coins to Cryptopia several times.

It tries to generate an address but it always fails.

Does anybody know why this is happening?

Thanks!

I've tried several times to solo mine ORB directly to my wallet, with no success.
Can anybody help?

According to netstat -a, port 15299 is listening, but when I run the nsgminer batch file, I just get a blank screen.
Should I try mining directly to the wallet address? I really appreciate any expertise on this. I'm frustrated...
Thanks!

Here are my setup files:

Orbitcoin.conf

server=1
port=15298
rpcport=15299
rpcuser=xxx
rpcpassword=xxxx
rpcallow=127.0.0.1
rpcallow=192.168.0.101
rpcallow=192.168.0.121
rpcallow=192.168.0.131
rpcallow=192.168.0.141
addnode=seed0.orbitcoin.org:15298
addnode=seed1.orbitcoin.org:15298

nsgminer batch file:

nsgminer.exe  --neoscrypt -w 128 -I 8  --url http://127.0.0.1:15299 --user xxx --pass xxxx

ORB console getmininginfo:

Hey Dood....

I'm doing it exactly as you are and it works fine for me. The only difference is that I can only use I=8 or I=11.
I have no idea why. Maybe you should try it?

Thanks for the note.

I wonder what hardware was being used to mine scrypt coins back when they were in vogue...?

In other words, what gpu's were (are) considered to be efficient for scrypt mining...

Thanks!
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced GPU (USD$100-$175) for a novice setup? on: January 15, 2018, 10:59:20 PM
Hello everyone.

Can anybody recommend a few economical GPU's that I might look for in the USD$100-$175 range that would be suitable for a beginner's single GPU setup?

A new model would be fine, but even a used older model would be ok with me. I just want to experiment with solo mining some scrypt and neoscrypt coins.

I'm more interested in collecting a few coins rather than in making a profit. That's why solo mining appeals to me.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!
