Why won't you just tell people when he will be back? It could be so easy... All we know is, that he enjoys his holiday, without his phone, without telling anybody when he will be back. Germining/Altcointalker/Patrik...you just needed to be patient...all of 4 days later: Now kindly slither on back to your self-moderated Sumo thread so you can keep scrubbing anyone that calls you out, before we send a shinobi after you

What is "BC folder"? I see only "Data Storage Path" and changing it doesn't resolve the issue.
Blockchain folder, is what he meant I'm sure. Yes, the data storage path will direct where the blockchain gets stored, but you'll still need the folder for a variety of configuration files, logs, saved wallets ect. I'm not aware of a cryptonote coin that functions differently right now, but that's some welcome feedback. I can see how a user could welcome the ability to choose an installation directory for all program data to be stored, especially if they prefer to install things outside of the C drive.

GPU with this algorithm are heated too much.
If you're under-volting to maximize hash per watt the heat isn't bad at all. My 1060's are running at 66C (they are inside my house) 580s are running at 54C (out in the garage).

We want RYO! Add Ryo Currency, the up and coming cryptonote coin that will rival Monero.
|
|
|
Can't wait for the cryptonight-gpu PoW
|
|
|
I wondering is a possible to mine CRyptoCurrency through nicehash, is there a guide to do this process?
Currently yes, Ryo Currency is using the Cryptonight-Heavy PoW pioneered by Ryo devs Fireice_uk and Psychocrypt, this PoW is available on nicehash for bidding. Sorry no, guide.

ISn't blockchain meant for transparency, how do you guarantee privacy and why blockchain?
Depending on the use case transparency could be a desired feature, but who would want to have their paycheck or their savings/checking account balance available for all to see. Privacy is provided through the CryptoNote Technology and RingCT. Blockchain because it enables "trustless" exchange of value.

Oh, what a day! Finally, RYO community has had the RYO Store, which accept RYO Currency. With the store's effects, I guess daily liquidity of RYO will raise to higher level soon.
I think it is silly the cryptocurrency projects who open up a webstore with branded gear and then only accept credit card or paypal. The idea is to get people used to seeing crypto as a currency. SO much this! Great to see that the project living up to it's namesake

I would suggest the GUI.
I would second that!

[Ryo Wallet 'Atom' 1.0.0-0.3.1.0]Overview- Next Generation GUI Wallet for Ryo-currency
- Current release: Atom v1.0.0
- Daemon version: 'Pie Orbital' 0.3.1.0
Meet the first release of the new, Electron based, Ryo Wallet: Atom v1.0.0. Being the foundation for further development, this initial release already brings several improvements over previous GUI wallet.
This wallet merges the functionality of the Full and LITE wallet into one, and adds a third (default) option to use local + remote node. By default, this will allow you to get started right away, but still download the Ryo blockchain for 100% reliability and anonymity.Contributors for this releasemosu-forge (gui wallet dev) fireice-uk (core dev) psychocrypt (core dev)

Coming from the Ryo Lab... @mosu_forge cooking up an atomic mix!

what wallet version are you using? Make sure its 0.3 (check website) . Also some AV or firewall software may block it from sync. Also what language of the seed? It was the latest version of the wallet that I downloaded the very same day. I have no 3rd part AV or FW. I was trying to restore seed from sumo, language of the seed is russian. Anyway lately I managed to restore directly from sumo wallet. A little peek into some of the chatter on =https://t.me/ryocurrencyTelegram, you should join us there for quicker assistance.

ohh... read about splite sumo and ryo its badly... and what now? how to change old Sumo to Ryo ?
You could get plenty of assistance joining the RyoCurrency telegram channel. But it's really quite simple. 1. download RYO wallet : https://ryo-currency.com/#downloads2. create wallet using your sumo seed 3. rejoice at your claimed RYO

Bytheway, are these updates mandatory?
Yep, there was a fork which occurred on block 161,500. It added the dev fund.
|
|
|
Thanks for the heads up. This post is loud and clear That's what I was going for
|
|
|
It's good that the project is developing, but every fork is a signal about shortcomings. Ideally, forks should not be, or they should be very, very rare. I hope in the near future there will not be another fork)
Agreed, we would also prefer to minimize the frequency with which a fork is needed. Though we knew that there would need to be some right out of the gate to sever the network ties with Sumo and as community debate finalized funding methodology. Agree, it's a bit confusing for new users.
Understood, it should hopefully be minimal impact for non-miners, only needing to upgrade their Wallet. Well, as far as I know, Monero has scheduled hardforks every six months. They are mostly important for the miners, I am not sure whether users really have to go along with every single one.
The basic idea is that you have a given schedule to follow. Miners know what to look for and you have the ability to push just about anything if needed.
I'm not sure whether Ryo said anything about adopting this mechanism, though.
This is correct, RyoCurrency hasn't committed to anything specific with regard to scheduled hardforks and as noted above will work to minimize the number of forks taking place but it should be understand that some of the more foundational technological improvements coming down the road to the P2P system under the hood could necessitate them as well.
