Is there a monitoring software that can actively make changes to a miner based off a monitored temperature?  For example, the Spondoolies miners have an intake temperature which it reports. Is there anything out there that can issue a command, or make a configuration change based on what that temperature is showing?

I see that some software can issue warnings alerting you to temperature issues, but they don't seem to do anything else. I am wanting to use my miners to heat my home, but am looking for a sort of thermostat feature to control how hot things get. If I can have some setting changed to cause the miner to stop mining/hashing at a certain temperature and resume at another, I wouldn't have to actively manage room temps. I have both SP30's and Neptunes that I would like to attempt this with.

Any ideas?

Is anyone aware of a way to have hashrate adjusted based on ambient (intake) temperature for an SP-30? I assume any sp-tech device would be similar however.
I am wanting to use one as a garage heater, but don't want it to "over-heat" the area and damage the miner.
I know it will throttle the fans as temp changes, but I want it to throttle it's heat output (ie. hashrate) so the garage doesn't get too unbearably hot. I suppose if it just stopped mining at temp X and resumed at temp Y, that would work as well.

Since I started overclocking my October Jups via the custom firmware, I've noticed an odd issue that I never had before. Some of the VRM's seem to drop to half-power (~20w). My hashrate dips as well, but the VRM doesn't just die on me like they used to. A quick restart of the miner or adjusting/applying settings will fix the issue for a time.
Is this a heat/OC/voltage issue? I can't seem to pinpoint the cause.

Do you have posted any instructions/info on the proper use of the pins for these? Like, which pins are which for the fan header, what do the dip switches do, how to properly and safely configure for load balancing for 2/3/4 psu's, etc.? Also, for me, some of the pin labels are a tad hard to read due to the tiny font size. Could you post a pin-out for those as well?

One other thing...the pics posted show little chips between the top connectors and the terminal, but mine only have a bunch of solder. Is this because of the current sensing option, or because I have test boards? And which set of terminals is + vs -? I can't see any markings stating what is what on the boards.

Regarding the proposed WA colo; is there anything to do to "reserve" a spot for when it becomes available? I got in on the sp30 Easter special and am thinking that I'd like to have my miners hosted if it'll only be around $290/mo.
Is this option going to be available for me in time?

I actually will be needing power in the next 2 months (late june/early July at worst), but I unfortunately already have the dps 2000 psu's. Are you saying there is no chance of having the opportunity to purchase these boards before July?
To replace my psu's with the 750s would require me to buy 12 psu's and boards. At that cost, I may just resort to soldering and shorting pins to get my dps 2000 supplies working. I'd much prefer to utilize your expertly created boards, but it all comes down to timing I suppose.
It's unfortunate there isn't anything the community here can do to assist you with this project (unless there is...), but it appears that you are doing everything you can and are just stuck in that oh so familiar spot that many successful small businesses often find themselves in when they suddenly become "popular".

If the 1.0.0 firmware now has an "overclocking" feature built into the web interface, couldn't we just modify the web interface files to include increases past the 775/1000 limit that the stock firmware has? That seems like it would be an easier method (if possible) for those unfamiliar with a *nix interface and editing files with vi. Just an open thought of course.

If I am not set up to accept the NMC I generate, do they go to the pool/wiz? If so, what percent of a donation does that equate to?
I really like the Eligius pool and the dedication that Wiz puts into making it so awesome. The no fees are a great part of why I use this pool. It allows me the flexibility to donate what I feel the service is worth. Other pools that charge a fee offer things like a desktop app that I don't want to use, but I feel like I am paying for those things anyway.

The only issue I've read/seen is that it removes the "advanced" tab. You can still get to the page though by just typing in the address...

Well, on the plus side of that, my 3 RMA'd boards function perfectly and have no heat issues or anything. Too bad I still have 4 more with issues. They also don't hash any faster so I guess us October folks are stuck with what we got.

It's below 0C outside here and my miners are in my very cold garage. I'm having trouble keeping them warm enough to keep all the dies/vrms online. A nice overclock would go a long way to help with this and help compensate for the btc I lost from my 2 week late shipment, 7 bad boards, and 8-day RMA on 3 of them.

When it comes to taxes and being a legit business, I agree. However, I and most I assume, are not in that situation and can easily forgo those complications. For us, it does not make sense to pay another company to produce an item that will "mine" back less than it cost us to purchase in the first place regardless of the fiat equivalent of our investments or payouts.
For an individual...for any given profitable timeframe, if the product will not produce more btc than it cost to purchase initially, then it is not a good investment.

None of that matters. You simply do the math for when your miners will stop being profitable (when you'd stop mining), and instead buy btc and hold until that time. You will always end up more profitable that way than if you buy hardware to mine.
I didn't do this the first time and instead bought miners from KnC. I will now be lucky if I make half as much btc as I could have if I just bought it at the time I placed my order. The only true winners in the mining game are those who make the miners. The rest are just chumps regardless of how you try and spin it.

If you are having trouble answering the questions, it's possible there is erroneous information on your credit reports. I'd suggest going to www.annualcreditreport.com (it's the legit federally backed site) and grab each of your credit reports. That will provide you with any/all information that coinbase could ask about as well as show you if there is any wrong information being kept.

I had to do this as well because I moved a lot while in the military and couldn't remember some of my old addresses which coinbase asked about.

I am pretty sure it has nothing to do with the soldering. My Die 0 DC/DC low board becomes a perfectly working board when I simply unplug the other 3 boards in the system. KnC support suggested I try rearranging the ribbon cables on the controller board to see if the problem follows. I have not tried yet, but will attempt this tonight. Both KnC and Bitcoinorama have confirmed that these dead die issues are almost all not physical hardware issues and more about power distribution and firmware.
