Also don't forget that we're in a bear market, this project still has a pretty bad rep (don't forget like 80% of the people who were originally here were banned from discord and XBY socials including reddit and discord), and there's a serious case of censorship still. If  this is a community coin, moderators do need to be leniant and allow open discussion, even if its "negative" or "critical"

 I think all the banning and censorship over the last 2 years will be looked at unfavorably. Price wise I do believe its destined to go back to pre-december levels as most events of this nature are but according to borzalom some time last year the zoltchain was pretty much done, so it will be interesting to see what it can and cant do

On the note of trading, remember that this IS a bear market, so it will probably go back under 100 sats again soon. But if you believe in the technology, it could give you a chance to accumulate (assuming there's enough volume). I'm not heavily in on this compared to 2017 (I sold a ton at 5k-4k sats), but virtually every alt coin is bleeding out atm and I dont think this one will be an exception, is why I say to be careful with trading before you / anyone "fomos"

Nah, I'm already fairly involved in the project as an investor and i've been in the TG and Discord for ages and also used to mess around when Xtrabytes had slack, but its been so long since ive even used that lol. I'm still keeping an eye out for developments though and curious as to what's to come for the project next. I do think maybe a updated whitepaper with new roadmaps and a overview of the technology is in order though.

If the project really does stack up well and has the features that were promised, i don't mind helping promoting it either. But I'm looking for actual solid evidence of the tech and testing it on release if possible

And all it took was 2 years haha. Congrats though! But I think at this point, it's kinda bittersweet as reflected in the low volume / lack of buy and sell orders. Alot of people felt burned after waiting for patents for 2 years and expecting them in 2018 / early 2019, so the real question is, how would you get those people back?

And don't forget that this project is still delisted from CMC and has a bad reputation on /r CC. So those are also issues that need to be addressed to make this project successful. Don't forget that the tech promised quantum resistance and 10k+ TPS as well, so alot of people will be expecting that when you showcase the technology. Personally for me, that's the reason that I've wanted to see the patents completed, I want to see how this project has solved the trilemma of crypto where no other technology has. Now that there's patents, there's no more excuses

I've participated in testnets 1-3, so ill participate in testnet 4 since I want to see how XBY is going to pull off quantum resistance (especially quantum resistance since this is pretty much one of the few projects that has that feature, and maybe X-Change would be cool to test) and other things that were promised by the team. @CCR Its december 2nd now and 3 days until 2 years since the patent saga began. Any chance we might see anything about patents by early next year ?  If this project gets patent pending soon, you can demonstrate the tech to the greater crypto community and maybe give this project some momentum. The last update we had was regarding the lawyers working on the patents back in late september but its been radio silence since then

Also regarding your post about public opinion @CCR, public opinion is already still pretty low for this project. Outside of diehard supporters, teammembers on the project and you and borz, the wider crypto community has a pretty negative opinion of this project. I'm more interested in patent pending for this project since I would like to see for myself how the tech stacks up to alot of the other projects out there. Alot of the features (such as 10k TPS) has already been done by alot of projects, but I am curious to see some of the other features such as X-Change (been looking forward to that since 2017)

You also should realize that there's a larger crypto community outside of discord, if you want new investors you should try to get a foothold in communities such as /r CC. If you can demonstrate the tech there, i'm sure alot of people will join into the XBY discord and maybe you will attract some really talented people to the team as well. Also you should consider dropping KYC for nodes too, similar to the overbearing censorship, that will drive away investors as well

@sluppy Well its been 2 years and its still pretty much the same outside of XIP, but I doubt it. My concern would be whether this project would actually get adopted in the real world. If you've observed the people in this project for a while, most seem to believe in a field of dreams fallacy. "If you build it, they will come" isn't something that can apply easily here, and even with patent pending I question what hook the team will use to draw people into the project. As an investment I doubt this project will ever turn a profit compared to 2017 (in my personal opinion / observation) but I'm more interested in seeing the end-game rather then a profit at this point (i'll stick to investing in other projects for a profit)

There's been considerable backlash from the community related to the new policy and some from old supporters such as pokerman. You should consider rethinking your policy about that level of censorship. If this is a community project then it's important to be able to let your community be expressive. If you take this current path you may scare away the few supporters that this project has left.

Most people just want to see the tech demonstrated rather than hear "hi! this is great! you should invest!" and considering nothing related to the zoltchain will be publicly released until this project submits patents, I don't see any real value in maintaining an investment in this. Things that are still noteworthy issues with this project would be the fact that it's still delisted from CMC, Still has virtually zero volume (demonstrates lack of overall interest in this project from the wider crypto community) and we're still waiting for the patents to be submitted after 24 months. A major issue that would concern me would be the issue of how this project will also restore investor confidence even after patent pending since this project still has a pretty negative reputation in the crypto community.

@CCR I see and I appreciate the response. On december 5th, the patent saga will officially be 2 years old. Alot of the team members might not want to hear it but most people just want the patents to be finished so they can see how the tech stacks up with current tech. I hate to say it but even after patents, people may not invest in this without a hook of some sorts that makes them feel comfortable investing after such a considerable period of time. Have you and the team given thought to that scenario and how you guys will attempt to attract old (who lost faith)and new members to this project?

No idea, that sounds like its more conspiracy than anything. My concern would be the fact that we still don't have patents, we've been delisted from CMC, hardly zero investor confidence, how well this "legendary tech" stacks up to current tech, etc. At this point it's been 2 years, you can always just buy a small amount and then forget about this project. But my personal expectations are pretty low for 2020 and beyond. Even if they had the best tech in the world but refused to show it, this space is always evolving. Somebody will create a project that does what this does but better probably.

I.e Heshera is getting dapps and already has confirmed 80k TPS, flash has 25k TPS, QRL is working on Quantum resistance, Futurepia has DDPoS and has 300k TPS, and there are so many more projects that are doing what this project has done but more. Next month will be 24 months and no PP. At this point you just shouldn't be overextended in this project, and you need to ask yourself "Will I be waiting for Patent Pending next year?", and let's say this project gets Patent Pending, what if the volume remains low and the lack of investor confidence takes hold? On /r CC this project has a really bad reputation and in alot of different crypto communities. Some of the toxic people that hang around this project doesn't exactly make me (and im sure alot of others) want to invest in this and there are so many other issues besides the team itself.

But all in all, just don't invest more than you can afford to lose, and at that point it's better to just forget about this project for a while and invest in other projects (if its for the money). There's nothing wrong with questioning your investment and it doesn't make you a troll, but yeah I wouldn't invest anymore in this project the way it is now, and that's just my honest opinion.

Hi CCR do you know how close this project is to Patent Pending so the tech can be demonstrated to the wider crypto community? That should probably bring in some volume for the project and make the discord and other social media much more active as well. If there's no estimate, do you know how far along the patent process is compared to before?

@Ganja I can vouch for him, he was pretty active in discord and on XBY social media for pretty much 2 years. He had faith in this project long after I lost my faith in it. Infact type "ganja" in the XBY discord to search for his old posts, you can see he was active in the XBY discord back in early 2018 too.

@Golden Thanks for the explaination. But do you think the patents may come this year or at least by early next year so we can see the tech demonstrated? If the tech is demonstrated (not the current chain that runs on the old bitmox chain, but the new "zoltchain") then you might can attract investors. More investors would mean more volume which means that you can reapply to CMC which should increase the visibility for this project as well. According to the founder, back in July the patents were at 19 months so next month will be 24 months. If we get to 25 months it will pretty much be pushing 3 years waiting for patent submissions, that's why I was curious about the progress of the patents.
