1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: September 21, 2017, 06:57:10 PM
Hi - Could you please add support for the prospector miner. It has some many good features, the best of which is the ultra fast Skunk Hash support.

It also has a cool feature allowing cpu and gpu mining at same time for multiple algos like XMR, ETH, SkunkHash, ZEC. Here is the link:

Wouldnt the CPU run out of PCIE lanes with that 20 port PCIE monstrosity? I think as a miner reliability is important and staggering the systems helps mitigate risks. I run 5 / 6 cards per rig and never go above. I have one machine curently on SMOS and may move some others also. (In AU here). Getting those 6 pcie boards in australia is just impossible.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / [POOL] AU - Melbourne & Sydney Based Pools - ETC & ETH on: April 02, 2017, 03:14:58 AM
Hello All,

I am tired of mining against pools in US, Asia and EU. All of which have high latency and stale share rates. If there is enough interest, I will set up a few pools. Most important is the hashrate so this is viable and we actually find blocks. I personally mine ETC and DCR, but I am open to any coins if we get some interest.

Note, this is not going to be some install running in my house. I plan to do this on a high availability, server in a data center. If you live in Australia you will know the costs of these are quite high, but with enough hashrate I think we can do a 0.5% fee. Looking for folks who would be interested and the hashrates they can bring in.

Thanks,

is the website down?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MultiMiner & MobileMiner: Your Coins. Your Pools. Your way. Win/Mac/Linux/Mobile on: December 13, 2013, 09:13:41 AM
@nwools and @everyone else. The drop in hashrate only affects the newer versions 2.xx.

I used the 1.x versions with cgminer and bfgminer, and bfgminer was always a few hashes above. When I auto updated to 2.x my hashrate went to complete crap. The fix to that is to upgrade your bfgminer by letting the app itself download the latest version. I dont know why but this helped and I am back to my old hashrate.

Some suggestions / questions:
1. Please allow us to run custom coins with custom profitability assesments.

2. How does the perks function work? Since I am using pools to mine, how would it donate to you?

3. Since cgminer support was frozen on 3.7.2 lets keep that still in the app? I dont see a reason to get rid of it.

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [GLD] Network Down - Possible Fork, Get your money out now!! on: November 26, 2013, 09:26:23 PM
I guess I need to post here because the GLD official forums are now being censored for posts.

The transaction system, and the software is completely broken. The so called 51% defense caused the whole thing to collapse and now if we fork, it just means it was a completely useless piece added to this.

With all due respect to the devs and team, I am angry because people were complaining and this took so long to identify. Now that all alt cryptos are fighting and going up, GLD has just gone to the pits. Every pool is shutdown, and solo mining just gives you orphans, even if you do solo mine, its useless because we may have a fork. All of my GLD just lost value like anything and I lost a LOT of time mining absolutely nothing.

So why even bother with the 51% defense when we needed to fork. I would like honest and upfront notifications of what is going on, and what it means for users. I hope GLD bounces back from this, but basically we just shot our own self in the foot.

Now with censorship on the official forums for GLD, seems like this isn't the crypto I thought it would be. WDC seems a much better choice and I wish I hadnt stopped mining it losing so much potential.

p.s. the last block in the chain was 40 minutes ago ..... that even I have no idea how its increasing or who is actually able to mine this crypto at all.

My suggestion to all is to get your money our of wallet and into cryptsy or something and SELLLL!!!! I am posting this as a public service because the price is about to take a major dump.

Hi All,

I seem to be getting a huge number of rejects / stales. Are there any backup stratum servers available?Could I be doing something wrong?

Hi Guys,

I am from Lahore Pakistan usually mining BTC using CEX and Alt-Coins with my GPU. Wondering if there are others here and what coins you mine? Follow up with your city / coin. Maybe we could share information / suggestions locally including hardware.

My Current hardware, 1 6950, 2 6970, 1 6990, 1 5870 and hopefully soon a 7970. Total Hash power of roughly 2.5 MH/s. I do plan to increase this to 4 sometime soon.

You can buy any board that has at least 4pcie-x ports. Doesnt matter if the other three are 8x, 4x, or 1x. Then you need to buy powered 1x to 16x risers. Again it doesnt matter if your ports were 16, 8 or 4x the 1x riser fits in everything. Like the poster above mentioned it is important you buy the powered rises, otherwise you will surely burn out your board.

I personally use an old Intel board that came with my Dell Precision 690 machine, this is like a 4 year old board which has 4 8x ports and 1 16x. It works great!
