This site screams scam, grammar errors, high sign on bonus, no investment but high yield...
I was telling people yesterday who would want to be sign up # 2501-5000? Well, the site has over 4k signups now... I guess someone is good at making fake accounts.

Is this still going on?

Online poker in and of itself is not illegal in most of the US, however, playing for real money is. Since BTC is not recognized as legal tender, you can get around it.
I'm always interested in finding more poker games to play. Will this client or web-based (or both)? I favor client based because it's easier to do other things and not miss your turn...
Best of luck, keep us updated.

Just found this, thanks!

10 seems like an awfully small number to start with. Are you launching the site after, or going to let in more testers?

I don't have the activity, but I'm wbforbtc and I was just on the other night when you were on the site. This forum account is also a few weeks old, not just created.

I doubt I'll have 50 posts in a month, but this is my 11th post.

I know this thread is a little old, but just wondering if there's any new South, especially SW FL bitcoiners? Miami is too far on a weekday.

I just found this forum so not sure if there's anything else close to me. I'm within a reasonable driving distance for like a saturday event. I joined the meetup page as well.

Hi. I'm semi-new, still trying to figure out what discussions are worth posting in. How/why did each of you get into bitcoins?

Having a term for the smallest unit lessens the need for other names I think. Think about pricing in other currency, even 1 million of an unit of currency is still just that, we don't have special names for "1 million dollars." In your example of .003, if you're wanting to verbalize that as a price, just say "300k sat(oshi)."

I'm not sure that changing everything to a mBTC standard would help anyone who doesn't know much about BTC. However, I can see where adding the option to buy in units of mBTC may have the effect you're looking for.
Something like this:
Buy 1 BTC = $1,000 Buy 1 mBTC = $1
or even buy 100 mBTC = $100
I believe the "100 mBTC" vs "0.1 BTC" may have a more positive effect on someone unsure of getting started.
Though, this all begs the question, does BTC need new support by people just flat out buying into the market?

"Sorry you need to bet more before drinking from the faucet again."
-You last claimed your free bitcoins 2 days, 18 hours ago.
If there's terms and conditions on the faucet, can we have this posted somewhere please? I got this message the other day and placed 5 bets and still couldn't claim, I've placed another 2 I believe since.

Not enough for me to make a claim, but I'm new to this and it took me about a month to get that. Just wanted to add my name in the mix.

I'm still new to all of this bitcoin stuff, but I've been looking at maybe getting some cheaper equipment to do some basic mining cause it doesn't require constant attention.
While electricity costs are important, and I know faster is generally better, what numbers in terms of hashrate power would be recommended for a reasonable return? and something that would be relatively cheap. If I spend $100 on some USB miners and join a pool so that I'm getting steady progress rather than only getting paid if I find a new block, is it going to take a month or two to get my investment back, or is it going to take closer to a year while the difficulty continues to climb out of reach of newer participants?
I'm not looking for something that would make a lot, I'd be fine with gaining even a small profit.
