6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BNT] Bitnote is launching! on: January 17, 2014, 07:21:27 PM
I'm calling this one out, 5.9 percent premine? how about "hurr imma have more of this than anyone can even produce in any respectable timeframe, imma control teh market!". I don't care if its giveaways or promo or however you try to spin it. A respectable premine if any, is .5-1 percent.

I don't even want to instamine it, ill make more on moon for my miners time. DOA coin is DOA.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: ***Pixelcoin Buy/Sell (PXL)*** Buy or sell a piece of internet history!! on: January 17, 2014, 06:24:03 AM
Just posted my sell order, 3k for 1 btc even. I haven't done a trade yet on the forums and usually hold my coins, but i have a $400 electric bill to pay lol. I can be contacted on freenode or through PM, escrow or you send first (escrow preferred all together so everyone feels safe, but if you are cool with sending first im alright with that). moderately negotiable but considering its already down to 100 coins a day per megahash of mining power, i think this is fair/undercutting myself.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN - NEW COIN JUST LAUNCHED] *EarthCoin* Is Here To Make A Splash For 2014! on: January 10, 2014, 12:59:57 AM
It's been tough, but I've held all my EAC despite the dumping that's been going on. This is the only coin thats been released in the last while that has any sort of potential. look at it this way, if we all know its going to cryptsy and its here to stay, nows a great time to snap up a piece of the pie (also, we can help raise the price by buying it).

Happy new year to you too, should be an interesting one in the financial world Cheesy
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help with mining set up on: January 09, 2014, 04:41:04 AM
yup, you can mop up with a newly released coin if you are in on the first blocks, but I wouldn't sic it on an established one 24/7. you will melt your lappy without much payoff.
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many bitcoins in an average day would i earn? on: January 09, 2014, 04:30:51 AM
You will likely want to consider mining the alternate sha-256 coins to sell for bitcoin depending on the difficulty involved, with the spikes in bitcoin, you want to jump around a bit to maximize profits, even if all you want is BTC. use something like coinwarz.com to get a rough estimate, it varies and updates throughout the day and you can change your mining accordingly.

Alternatively there are profit switching pools, but I don't support them since they have a tendency to kick rising coins down every time they try to stand out.

Make up your mind in before - buy - and HOLD no matter what. Holding is underrated.

you can play with the laptop to learn a bit about how it works, but i strongly advise against mining for any significant amount of time on one. they tend to cost more in electricity than you would gain by mining, and they usually run too hot and can damage the laptop with extended mining (bad airflow and tightly compressed components). Wont hurt for a bit here and there for new coin launches and such though so you can get your feet wet!

18  Other / Beginners & Help / Lurked for a while, time to start posting on: January 09, 2014, 03:17:14 AM
Hi all, I have been lurking forever and mining away on the alt coins and such for a few months now and figured its time to participate in the community a little more. I'm a Worldcoin enthusiast and mine as many new coins as I can. I also run a few different rigs primarily 280x and 7870s, so if anyone needs any tips or help, feel free to PM me!
