...which makes me wonder what people were expecting. Probably because it depends on the people smart enough to know how to use cryptocurrency yet dumb enough to pay for porn.

-- the same battle happened between VHS and Betamax, and again the porn industry chose VHS and it won. Betamax was better in every way (technically speaking). That was back when porn in the home was much harder to acquire and view. This was not true in 2006. Also, the PlayStation 3 tilted the balance.

when the battle was on between HD-DVD and Blu-Ray, everyone knew the winner would be decided by which format the porn industry chose. And they chose Blu-Ray. Blu-ray won because it had more capacity and bandwidth.

Just to name a few in recent memory Sony, JP Morgan, Home Depot, can go on and on. I remember that Home Depot press release that said, "Hey, everyone gets hacked. We're kind of glad it happened. No big deal."

Tell me, please, where to mine now LUX ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) I try on the BSOD or YIIMP, they both swear on the algorithm! What's happening ? I just ran a quick test mining for a few minutes on yiimp and it worked fine. What particular error are you seeing?

Can someone help me with explaining how I can mine this coin with windows? Or is this not possible yet?
Yes, there are miners that run on Windows. The first post in the thread contains some links to mining software, but I'd recommend reading through the last ten pages or so of this thread.

sgminer -k phi -o stratum+tcp://pool.bsod.pw:2016 -w 256 -I 21 -u xxxxxxxxxxx.xxxx -p c=LIZ --gpu-platform 1 Which parameters do I need to make this algo work with AMD, I have SGMiner 5.6.1-elbandi as a miner. ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) I am lost. ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) I'm not familiar with sgminer, so I won't comment on all the parameters, but one option for the bsod pool is to use: -p c=<SYMBOL> to specify the currency. So for LUX that would be: -p c=LUX Good luck!

Ok I found my Balance 1.22 but in my wallet 0.89!!
So the Problem with my wallet?!
How can i solve it?
Is your wallet synced? Have you updated to the latest wallet (4.0.1)? How can i update it? Before any wallet update make sure to backup the wallet.dat file. In the first post of this thread they have the link to the 4.0.0 version, since they haven't updated the link yet. But you can see the link starts like this: https://github.com/216k155/lux/releases That will take you to the page with all of the releases, including the latest 4.0.1. Good luck!

Hi,
I sent my LUX coins from my wallet to Cryptopia. After about 2 hours and 27 confirmations still nothing is arrived....what's the problem?
Now it's 46 confirmations. TX Id is: 1d9e6de0962567e14fef3390ae6802c01d7cd6980d1c40630cd7b41c4069639d but sitll nothing showing up... what's happening? 73 confirmations and almost 4 hours now. Are my coins lost? Anyone have idea why is this happening? I transfered the coins to cryptopia Sorry I can't help directly. Based on this guy's posting timestamps, it looks like it took about 3 hours for him: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2422372.msg29858910#msg29858910

LoopX apparently just exit scammed. Tons of YouTubers complaining about it.
These scams continue to hurt the perception of the whole industry.

Updated to wallet 4.0.0996 beta aka 4.0.1. Two major issues:
1) In previous wallet it was necessary to encrypt wallet, then unlock it to stake. Can't encrypt / unencrypt wallet in 4.0.1 ("encryption" is greyed out). Other than than locking and unlocking wallet again doesn't seem to enable staking either (I believe we are well 36 hours into post block 180K).
2) Closing the wallet and opening again creates "database error" and then the wallet needs to reindex blocks from disk again, which on a fast SSD coupled with a 8600K @5Ghz takes over 15 minutes. That's just not okay. I believe another user had this bug as well.
Can anyone report that issue 1) and issue 2) has been resolved / working for them?
Regarding staking, lupanar said: Coins need to remature again for start to staking from block 180k, so block height that need orientate to is 182160, but as net currently have a lack of blocks per day due to POS disabled so reaching that block can take more than 36hrs.

The industry needs regulation.
But regarding all the coins, get used to it. Cryptocurrency is open source. Forking is natural and common on open source projects.

But how can i use Block Explorer?
Like with most cryptocurrencies, the amount of coin associated with your address (LUX address in this case) is determined by the distributed blockchain. Websites are available that will search the blockchain for your address. For LUX, one explorer website is here: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/lux/You can put in your LUX address (or any LUX address) to see how much LUX coin is associated with that address.

Is wallet 4.0.1 oficial? Why there is not it on the first page?
I assume they haven't updated the links yet. You can see it is on the same github page as the earlier releases: https://github.com/216k155/lux/releases/

500 blocks before the PoS reactivation =)
... only 500 Block left? He's referring to how many more blocks must be created before staking is turned back on in the wallet. We're down to about 400 now.

wish lux to the moon but i never get some coin with pos of lux. how hard is it ...
The devs have said staking is turned off until block 180,000 is reached. We seem to be on block 179,135 at the moment.
