2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ripple Going To Reach 10,000$ By 2020? on: January 19, 2018, 04:55:22 PM
Hey guys, so the last ripple thread got closed down and since there aren't any new ones I decided to make one on my own.

I got around 126 ripple at the moment and I'm just wondering if they will turn me into a millionaire in the next two years.

I personally believe that they will and that anyone reading this should invest into ripple.

*NOT AN EXPERT, RESEARCH YOURSELF BEFORE BUYING ANYTHING*

After all, you cannot beat the banks.
They will buy all the ripple and they will pay whatever amount is needed just to get the technology for themselves.
This means that getting in now, at a dollar, is a bargain as the more banks get interested in ripple and buying it, the more the demand for it will grow and the prices will shoot up crazy!

We watched it go from 0.19 to almost 5$ in the span of just a few weeks, I don't see why bigger growth isn't possible and don't tell me about the market cap- people were bickering about it on a dollar and ripple dumpstered it without any issues.

Please discuss and remain civil while doing it.
Ripple is not a cryptocurrency.
It fails the anonymity and decentralized test.
I think in the long term it will die off.

China probably, but they exert more soft power rather than military might.

Then again the US, EU, Mexico and Canada could buddy up to create a common economic area

any body know the reason for current drop?
I'd associate the drop with a few elements:
1. Korea (the noncommunist one ) tried to ban bitcoin
2. Chinese New Year
3. Banks selling their stakes then buying for cheap

What do you think which will be the best alternative of bitcoin in 2018? Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple, Verge or Zcash?
My bet is on pearl and Navcoin.
they are both solid project.
Pearl has seen recent growth, NAV has seen stable growth
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am new to Bitcoin, how can I get started? on: January 08, 2018, 02:22:08 PM
Hey, as you know already from the title, I'm new to Bitcoin, I would like you to help me by telling, where to buy, when to buy, where to sell, when to sell, things like that.
Important: I'm 17 years old, some methods may not work if I don't have 18, and that's what I have noticed.
I hope you can help me get started.  Wink

Edit: Thank you guys, your information is helping a lot, I already have a wallet, feel free to help me Smiley 1KnWzEdJgAmE3rB3Xax8sDfydnikguxrhh
Get registered on some places where you can buy bitcoin like coinbase, gdax etc , then start learninig about altcoins.
Once you did that, make an account on an exchange, I use cryptopia for example ,  and start trading.
Bitcoin has little potential for growth at the moment, most future growth will come from altcoins.
