2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / removing BTC from an unsupported wallet on: January 10, 2018, 12:18:09 AM
I have some BTC tied up in a Multibit Classic wallet, and I don't know how to get it out of there.

I can send BTC from that wallet, but I can only get the fee as high as BTC 0.0005, which I think is probably too low to get a transaction confirmed.

Does anybody know the best way to export this money to a different wallet so that I don't have to wait weeks for a transaction to clear due to lack of sufficient fees?

4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: unconfirmed transaction purgatory--please help on: January 09, 2018, 02:39:37 PM
I attempted to transfer some BTC from a local wallet to my Coinbase wallet on December 16. The transaction has been pending since that time--it has been three weeks, and still it has not been confirmed.

I think I figured out the reason, which is that I did not include a big enough fee in the transaction. But is there any way I can resolve this at this point? I've read that if a transaction isn't confirmed within 72 hours, it will just automatically cancel, but it's been three weeks and it's still pending!
Bitcoin transactions never expire. They may disappear from the mempool, but that's not a thing to rely on. For more information, please see https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Transaction_expiration.

As for what to do about your stuck transaction, perhaps you could use RBF or CPFP, or try one or more accelerators? Please see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1802212.

Thanks!
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / unconfirmed transaction purgatory--please help on: January 09, 2018, 01:56:32 PM
Hi, all
I am having a BTC problem that I can't find a resolution for, and I was hoping someone here might have some advice.

Does anybody have any ideas for how I can solve this?

Thanks--
