Hi, all
I am having a BTC problem that I can't find a resolution for, and I was hoping someone here might have some advice.

I attempted to transfer some BTC from a local wallet to my Coinbase wallet on December 16. The transaction has been pending since that time--it has been three weeks, and still it has not been confirmed.

I think I figured out the reason, which is that I did not include a big enough fee in the transaction. But is there any way I can resolve this at this point? I've read that if a transaction isn't confirmed within 72 hours, it will just automatically cancel, but it's been three weeks and it's still pending!

Does anybody have any ideas for how I can solve this?

Thanks--

Bitcoin transactions never expire. They may disappear from the mempool, but that's not a thing to rely on. For more information, please see https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Transaction_expiration.

As for what to do about your stuck transaction, perhaps you could use RBF or CPFP, or try one or more accelerators? Please see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1802212.
