4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin really secure? on: April 13, 2018, 03:43:18 PM
Yes it is safe as it gives the owner complete control of an asset also bitcoin cannot be manipulated on exchanges
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is the use of Bitcoin increasing? on: April 06, 2018, 12:37:54 PM
Simply put: TRUST.

The problem with an asset like Bitcoin, decentralized, uncontrolled, completely anarchic, is that it’s so new that nobody is sure what could happen. Or better, nobody who can’t understand economics dynamics (without being stuck to old school trash) and programming.

The Network Effect is exploding, and this is just the beginning.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you love Bitcoin? on: April 06, 2018, 12:35:07 PM
People have always tried to beat the Tax Man, and when working in an underground economy, then you need to wash the money as well, and cryptocurrencies offer(ed) such an attraction (less so, as governments figure out the web (dark and other) more effectively.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should people invest in bitcoin? on: April 06, 2018, 12:04:52 PM
Don't only think Bitcoin for investment. It's much more than that, people use it for different purposes like for transfering money, payments, investing like in share market to earn profit etc.

Become a regulator. Best way to promote bitcoin is by preventing people to use their money.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BNS - A DECENTRALIZED CASHBACK PLATFORM ON THE BLOCKCHAIN on: February 21, 2018, 04:08:17 PM
If you've not discovered cashback sites already you're in for a treat, here is a description:

When a customer makes a purchase online, instead of visiting the retailer directly, they may choose to go via a cashback website in order to generate a monetary reward for buying the products or services. The cashback website will receive a commission from the retailer and once the purchase, free trial, or information request is confirmed, that commission will be shared with the customer who made the purchase. This means that the cashback site makes a profit on the sale, free trial or information request and the consumer gets to recoup some of the initial outlay back or if they had a free trial or information request earn some money from it.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can ethereum be beat Bitcoin on: February 12, 2018, 12:22:38 PM
Both of them are trying to solve different problems and I’d own both. Bitcoin on one hand wants to be the payment solution, while Ethereum is smart contracts. It’s like comparing apples and oranges. Own Both and wait.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin is better than other coins? on: February 10, 2018, 11:05:53 AM
The main advantages of Bitcoin are network effect and proven security. Both are nearly insurmountable advantages.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So Bitcoin is better than Gold? on: February 10, 2018, 10:44:54 AM
Hard to say! Gold is really really old and have already proved to be around hundreds of years Smiley They have both different advantages / disadvantages. So I cant really say!
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is recovering on: February 10, 2018, 10:38:08 AM
The amount of people in crypto now is so small compared to what it will be in the future, I have no doubt whatsoever that the prices will recover and excel over the coming months and years.
I read somewhere that less than 1% of the population own a cryptocurrency.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does bitcoin have value? on: February 10, 2018, 10:33:09 AM
Is jewelry valuable because it's made of gold, or is gold valuable because you can use it to make jewelry?

You could make a necklace from copper, but it wouldn't be as valuable as the gold necklace because gold is scarce.
Most people who own gold, hold it because they want to wear it??? Have you ever heard of the federal reserve? What about the trillions invested in gold on wall street? Besides that, I would rock a bitcoin chain any day of the week!
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Ethereum? on: February 10, 2018, 10:15:33 AM
While both Bitcoin and Ethereum are powered by the principle of distributed ledgers and cryptography, the two differ in many technical ways. For example, the programming language used by Ethereum is Turning complete whereas Bitcoin is in a stack based language. Other differences include block time (Ethereum transaction is confirmed in seconds compared to minutes for Bitcoin) and their basic builds (Ethereum uses ethash while Bitcoin uses secure hash algorithm, SHA-256). I would recommend coinbase as a first place to buy coins.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WTF is Bitcoin? on: February 10, 2018, 08:13:42 AM
Start Getting Your Hands on Bitcoin
This article isn’t intended to make you an expert on Blockchain, but I hope it gives you enough information to at least wrap your head around a concept that’s still arguably quite obfuscated. Bitcoin is not a super complex beast that only the most technical quantum computer scientists can possibly get a grasp on. If you’ve understood the concepts presented in this article, then you’re on the right track to becoming an informed (potential) investor.

So now you know what decentralization, mining, and blockchain are, and are probably thinking about the potential possibilities and how it’s a potential paradigm to the financial system. If you’re excited to actually start buying Bitcoin, take a look at my write up on 0 to Pro Crypto Trader.
19  Other / Off-topic / Re: What wallets do you use? on: February 10, 2018, 07:53:08 AM
Hardware Wallets
Hardware wallets solve a very specific problem. Since Bitcoin transactions require the Internet to take place, there has always been an inherent security risk connected to using Bitcoin. Even though there are plenty of security measures, like password protected wallets, to stop malicious hackers from stealing your Bitcoin, a computer with security flaws will consequently lead to an insecure Bitcoin wallet.

This sparked the desire for Hardware Wallets (often also called ‘cold storage’), where we store our Bitcoin on a device that is completely disconnected from the Internet. Like that we can rest assured that our wallet will not suddenly be empty the next day.
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your opinion about the fall of bitcoin on: February 05, 2018, 02:34:32 PM
see i cant predict the future of BITCOIN and you should not loose hope. i suggest you to take an organised approach while investing in such a risky segment.
