1  Other / Off-topic / Re: Paypal. Is. Scared. on: September 17, 2014, 09:42:07 AM
Paypal is about to accept Bitcoin, so it's in our interest that all goes well with Paypal now, even tho we don't really need this company to function, the Paypal brand is huge and if they adopt Bitcoin, a lot of clueless people that know Paypal (basically most average joes that do online shopping know Paypal) will now know Bitcoin.

Thanks Stunna, I PD ad campaing is no more. Now im unable to get any BTC anymore since this was the only legit campaing. Thanks to you (with the payment im now going to request) I should be making my first BTC ever  Grin this has been a goal of mine since a year ago, it would have been impossible without the PD campaing, and I see 1 billion bets was reached which is sick, so the ad campaing was clearly worth it. Hope you come back sometime in the future.
3  Economy / Economics / Re: Overnight major Ponzi scheme CryptcoMiner finally absconds with over seventy BTC on: September 16, 2014, 10:04:18 PM

Thats why im sticking with Primedice as long as I can, one of the few ways to go about making BTC. Hope no one lost a lot of money around here. I would have stick to their ad campaing as well. I would be butthurt if they didn't pay at the end of the term tho. The ones currently in the campaing will for sure not get paid after this.
4  Economy / Economics / Re: How profitable are exchanges? on: September 16, 2014, 09:46:45 PM
Exchanges are making shitloads from fees, i can guarantee that. The amount of orders that happen daily with cryptos is unprecedented and they happen much faster than in any other markets due the digital fast nature of the asset. All these little fees sum up in big ass amounts. This plus the ads = money in the bank for the guys moving big money in their exchanges.
5  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: September 16, 2014, 09:45:11 PM
The difference is that the global value of gold is about 8.2 trillion and the global value of all bitcoins is only .7 billion. Also, gold is not very liquid. At least, not in as much as you can't use a gram of gold to go buy something.

With only so many bitcoins that could ever be in circulation, if they became an accepted measure of currency the global value of bitcoins could easily jump up to 50-100 billion. On the other hand, if nobody were to accept them their value could quickly drop.

This will be fun to watch.

6  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: September 16, 2014, 08:54:11 PM
Gold has real-world functional use. It has practical value that can basically ensure it will never ever lose complete valuation.
However, you are right in that most of it's valuation doesn't come from its practical value, but rather from the fact that it's a shiny rock. On the other hand, Bitcoin's value is 100% due it's practical features.
7  Economy / Economics / Re: Have you started spending rather than hoarding your bitcoins? on: September 16, 2014, 08:49:31 PM
Hoarding is not bad, cut that bullshit please.

Whenever I want to buy something, I check if I can pay with bitcoin in that company or similar, but...

...I am not going to spend my bitcoins left and right only because some dude on the webs want the statistics of bitcoin transaction per day bumped.
Somewhat legit, even tho hoarders only hoard bitcoin because of its continually increasing value, derived from widespread adoption and ever increasing "use" value.
8  Economy / Economics / Re: Is 1 bitcoin a decent and good investment? on: September 16, 2014, 08:48:27 PM
We'll be talking in terms of satoshis, BTC will be for the top 1%. Thats why should start lossing the BTC thing soon in exchanges asap. People is scared to buy BTC because some of them don't even know it's divisible, so they think "fuck, how im supossed to spend 500$ on the fucking thing... screw it" and end up ignoring it. If we had mBTC or whatever, it would be better.
9  Economy / Economics / Re: Libertarianism and interventionnism on: September 16, 2014, 08:43:21 PM
If you are mounted on on the dollar (or on the BTC) and you are well off, you'll hate any interventionism.
If you are born in a shit tier hellhole in an objective dead end, you would miss an state that covered basic needs.
It depends on your point of view.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Would u pay in bitcoin? on: September 16, 2014, 08:33:08 PM
Hoarding (saving) is actually a good thing. It's what gives a currency its value. If everyone is always spending their money, the money becomes worthless because nobody wants it. So the goal should be to get more people to save, because that increases the depth of the Bitcoin markets, and allows more capital (read: value) to flow through them. Currently the Bitcoin markets are actually rather shallow. They only allow a dozen million dollars' worth of value to flow through per day. With more hoarding, that number can skyrocket to billions of dollars per day. Of course, like I said, you shouldn't hoard 100% of it obviously.
11  Other / Meta / Re: For how long can this forum sustain the influx of new members and posts? on: September 16, 2014, 06:51:29 PM
There's bigger forums than this on the internet so I'm sure it will manage just fine. The more users we get the more they'll likely make in advertising so it shouldn't be a problem.

Ah, I didn't factor in more users = more money due advertisement, it should be a direct correlation so overtime let's hope enough money keeps being generated by these forum ads. My Adblock Edge isn't blocking these advertisements so they must do it in a really clever way or something.

If this campaing ends I will not be able to get any more BTC. Thanks to Stunna I have most of the BTC I own which isn't even 1 BTC yet. I live in a shitty country and unemployed so I will not be able to buy BTC and my BTC adventure would pretty much end there, I would be limited to just hold basically. Im not in a position where I can risk trading or gambling the little saves I have. This was a nice little boost monthly for me... and the rest of advertisement campaings are shit and pain less than peanuts, not worth the time, so I hope PD campaing lasts forever.

You're completely at the wrong attitude. Stunna is probably going to end this campaign due to people like you.

and the rest of advertisement campaings are shit and pain less than peanuts, not worth the time,

The campaign is not here for you to post more and earn money. It is here for you to continue your normal posting, let Stunna get some advertising and let you get some money. If you're in for money, and just posting for money, get out. There is too many people like you in this campaign, cluttering the forum with spam and making this collapse.

In what planet i've ever said I modified my posting style? I've been posting just like always. I've only thanked Stunna that i've gained most of my BTC due this advertisement campaing (because otherwise it would have been downright impossible), while I continued posting normally, so check your reading comprehension skills again buddy boy.

You've got some nice, idiomatic, native-english skills that you learned in that shitty country of yours.  Smiley

How much do you have invested? And at what price?

Not invested. I am holding it until maybe dec or early 2015 I think. I just want it to reach $600 so that I could sell.

Why do you want to sell something that will be worth a lot long term for stupid FIAT cash deprecated depreciating condemned USD/EUR? Is really 600$ the PEAK of BTC for you? How short sighted are you? I just don't get people like you, but watever floats your boat .

18  Other / Meta / Re: post count: leet on: September 16, 2014, 06:32:34 PM
Oh fuck, it seems im too late to join the leet party, I knew this happened but I didn't notice it in my own account lol.

I dont know if i've asked this before but, for how long can this forum sustain the incredible amount of daily posting and daily new accounts? it's crazy, and as BTC becomes more mainstream the community will not stop growing. So I ask, how will this be sustainable?
Invite only?
Paying to register?
Or will you guys be able to keep it free forever?
