Just a reminder, that it appears C.A.T. is no longer being supported by the creator, at least not in the last 12 months, Sampey has been living his best life and he should. That being said, if the project is abandoned, than I don't see why original users of the software shouldn't be able to 'self-import' new or updated exchange keys. That would be an amazing closure to the project don't you think?

I'm sure Sampey is still checking this thread from time to time. Hi Sampey! Hope you are enjoying yacht life! If you ever visit the southern hemisphere on your journey's, please make contact

As of posting, all the image's for purchasing C.A.T. and API keys are broken on page 1, I would say that C.A.T. is now unsupported. Without the ability for users to change API's within the software it makes trading very difficult as API keys need to be updated when the exchange updates or invalidates API's as what has happened to all my 3 purchased API keys from Sampey. I cannot use the software now and there appears to be no way to update the API keys within the software. I would say that resale is going to be very difficult but don't be deterred. I enjoyed the short time I had with the software and I hope Sampey is doing well on his yacht What are CAT copies reselling for these days?
Debating on letting go of mine or maybe firing it up again.
Anyone still having success with theirs?
Thx for any infos.!

Is this app still working?
It's not an app, it's software. You run it on a computer. It's java based software so as long as your OS can run Java, you are free to move it around different platforms. Just never run two copies at the same time as you'll have undesirable exchange activity. Yes thats what I meant. I wanted to know if people actually use it.. Would want their feedback You have a unique way of saying what you mean I still use the software, but only when I'm not busy with life, however since Poloniex recently and arbitrarily disable my API keys without warning, and the ongoing issues around API keys, exchange access and increasing security requirements, it does make me wonder if there will have to be an 'unlocked' version of the software, where a user can change / update API keys without going back to Sampey every time for the keys to be hardcoded into the software. I understand why the keys are hardcoded, but from a user perspective it is frustrating. Because I run the software intermittantly, it doesn't generate enough income to pay for hardcoding new API keys every 6 to 12 months.

how long is this time? [/quote] Couldn't say precisely, 1 month, 2 months?

Just a caution to other traders using Poloniex:
Poloniex cancelled API keys after a brief time of API inactivity. Requested Poloniex reinstate API keys as they provided no notice of cancellation. Poloniex said they provided notice, but could not provide any evidence of such notice. Requested Poloniex to reinstate API keys as previous times of longer inactivity had not caused any API key cancellation. Poloniex said they cannot reinstate API keys.

Hi Sampey,
Thank you for making the CatBot trader. Just getting back into it after a two year hiatus due to issues in RL and can't believe how powerful your program is for trading.
With thanks, Mark.

Fellow Catbot owners,
It's not possible to hold two different margins on the same market is it? I want to have two ping-pongs going ; a 1.1% min % guarantee gain and a 5.5% min % guarantee gain. Looks like you can open 'again' another market, but I'm haven't tried this yet. What about running another instance of Catbot with different parameters? I have a fear it may clash with the exchange api or cause issues for catbot running two instances...
Any thoughts let me know.
With thanks, Mark.
I found the information I needed: These are che combination you can perform using C.A.T. - Run 1 CAT Instance on 1 PC and Log on X Exchanges -> For every exchange a dedicated panel will be shown. - Run X CAT instance on 1 PC and log on Y Exchanges -> For every CAT instance you will have a dedicated FRAME, for every exchange logged for any instance you will have a dedicated panel (for example you can run 2 CAT instance and log on 3 exchange for instance 1 and 1 exchange for instance 2) - Same combination as before but using different PC : You can run CAT on your Mac and another on your Windows PC. Try to avoid : - Run more than 1 CAT instance from the same folder : CAT 1 and CAT 2 will works on the same files. Only few of them could have a collision, but General Console LOG and CAT_LOG (the one create in CATSystemFolder) are 2 files where collision could happens. Solution is simple : if you want to run X CAT Instance, then create X CAT Main folders. - Run 2 CAT Instance and log on the same Exchange. This could cause bad behaviours (2 examples) - if you launch a "DELETE ALL ORDERS" from CAT 1 then CAT 2 could have big problems. - the NONCE (a progressive number always increased) API parameters could have collision : CAT 1 and CAT 2 could calculate same Nonce -> Exchange will refuse one of the 2 calls.

On Bitcointalk, check your inbox message history from Sampey for around the time you bought it and see if there is a link to download the software. The latest software version is 5.2

in that case there's no other way than kill the process.
Hi Sampey!

@sampey
been away for a while but when you bought an licency, its for life time right ??
if yes , can i use my bot what i bought on 2017 still use without an update orso ??
thx
Would old software be compatible with the latest exchange API's? I don't know but you can PM Sampey and he'll give you the link to v5.2 software. v5.2 is incompatible with previous Parameter templates, but is very easy to update the XML Template - Sampey provides simple instructions on how to do this.

That makes me angry and happy. Angry because what happens to my holdings and happy because I never got around to buying that API.

Hello sampey
Not long ago I bought the CRYptopia API. I am a costumer who bought the bot years ago. The API Now is useless, maybe you are able to replace IT with another API for FREE? Thx in advance.
I was thinking about re-buying the Cryptopia API but your comment has me worried. What troubles are you having with the Cryptopia API?

Sampey, there are many people in my area who would like to have a Chinese version, and some of my friends needs German version.
Currently I am working with a group of Chinese who are eager to promote C.A.T., but in traditional and simplified Chinese. Remember, 1/3 of worlds populations speaks CHINESE!!! Rich players are in China, ....
Is it on your plan to use LANGUAGE files to switch C.A.T. to a different language?
I don't see why a new version of CAT couldn't pull text from a database; that way adding support for new languages is as simple as selecting the appropriate language database. I'm sure the community would make these files anyway.

Is anyone interested in giving me some parameter template training? Or know where I could find more information? My current templates always leave me with a bunch of coins when the market drops.
Did you check WHY that happened? I give you a hint: left side you see all about your coins (How many you have of A and B, ....). Next to it you see what the exchange requires: minimum amount of coins, how many digits and how much the order must be at least. Remember my saying, you can only trade what's in the order book. If you WANT to sell 123 coins, but there is only a buyer for 122,99995, then that's the max you can sell. You will be left with "dust", which is now not tradeable anymore. I keep the dust though. Its nothing worth already, but should at a later time I trade with that coin again, it will be added to the trading pool. Its not a mistake in the template, but in the selection of the coin. Choose a coin with more trades, more trade volume and still has a high spread. Also, thanks Ronald. You're always first to help on here.

Okay, so you are saying it has nothing to do with my parameter settings, but entirely everything to do with the coin I am trading. Cool. Then as you say, I will find a coin with more trades, more volume and high spread to test my parameter template settings on and then I will report back.

I know but I'm not counting the 17th so tech less than 12, when I posted this. But w/e...
