1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: looking to hire consultant to solve failure of private key import on: December 06, 2013, 04:20:14 PM
First of all, do not give your key to anyone, nor the QR code. Second of all, have you tried using a different client? You could also try using a different client?
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'm not sure which is funnier... on: December 06, 2013, 04:00:04 PM
I wonder who would be insane enough to buy that wallet anyway. Hopefully no one.
3  Economy / Services / Re: 1GH/s for a week $15 on: December 01, 2013, 12:11:07 PM
Hiring out my USB erupters, 3 of them for $15 for a week (168 hours). Payment through PayPal, I've been scammed on PP before so someone needs to tell me how to avoid that otherwise I will have a 3 day waiting period from purchase to the start of mining. I've checked and it's almost always at least 1.1GH/s, we will have regular contact through Skpye if you wish.

Powerouts and such will be compensated for, but I dont think that will happen. 168 hours mean 168 hours.

PM for PP

This is the hardest I have laughed all week.  Cheesy
Happy to entertain! I've sold for $30 on Ebay so $15 for 1GH/s aint too shabby..
People on eBay don't know what they are buying, it's not hard to manipulate what the returns look like. You can buy eruptors, a usb hub and a fan and sell it for a LOT more then what it could possibly make.
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Donate on: December 01, 2013, 12:00:56 PM
You aren't going to receive donations. If you want some money, learn some skills and sell them for BTC. Also, don't buy a graphics card for mining, don't even start. You aren't going to profit at all, not with a graphics card or with an ASIC. I hate to be harsh, but mining isn't worth the trouble. Especially if you can't even afford a card.
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the fees for on: December 01, 2013, 11:56:59 AM
Actually, I take it back, in my last transaction, I didn't pay a fee which I saw that as weird.

Maybe they do pay the fee for their customers.

I think of Coinbase as one of the more secure online wallets for btc.
Blockchain.info is the most secure, since the Blockchain.info doesn't hold your private keys. Well either way, it's best not to use a online wallet when you are handling large amounts of Bitcoins since it's not worth the risk.

It seems legit enough, there are people in that thread vouching for it.
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any coins worthwhile mining without expensive rigs? on: December 01, 2013, 11:41:12 AM
Thanks,
I guess I'd pretty much ruled out mining bitcoin/litecoin because of the difficulty / the small amount I would expect to mine with my setup.

I was more thinking about mining a couple of "new" / more unknown alt coins, and take a gamble on that they in the future may be worth something on an exchange.
I'm not sure if it's the best strategy from a profit perspective though Smiley

In terms of "worthwhile", I was thinking about coins where you still have a possibility to solo/pool mine a reasonable share (even if the coins are worth next to nothing) withouth investing in ASICs.
I've been looking at the charts over at http://coinchoose.com/, but I struggle to see how I can calculate when I can expect to find a block solo mining by combining the difficulty/network hashrate / my hashrate.  Anyone know how to do this ?

The problem with the other altcoins is they aren't very popular or never will be, which means you'll be stuck with useless coins. I understand that people thought the same way about bitcoins a few years back, but there are only a few main coins.
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bulk unloading on: December 01, 2013, 11:30:11 AM
Use multiple exchanges, you might want to do a bit of research on the exchanges since some of them wont allow your to withdraw USD easily. Requiring you to submit documents and wait days, even weeks at times. Having thousands stuck in an exchange for even a few days would suck.
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are other ways to get BITCOINS except mining and Gambling? on: December 01, 2013, 11:27:38 AM
There are tons of ways to get bitcoins, an easy way is for example is buying things like Amazon gift cards. Or steam games, and selling them here at a slight markup, repeat.
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the fees for on: December 01, 2013, 11:06:39 AM
In my experience with Coinbase(I use it all the time) they pay the fee. That might make using it as a wallet worthwhile, but it's also online which isn't secure.
11  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Optoma PKA21 Pico Pocket Projector on: December 01, 2013, 10:57:32 AM
Is shipping included in price? If so, I might be interested.

Shipping free in USA or not included?
13  Economy / Digital goods / Re: ☆★☆Cheap Youtube Views | Real And Fast | 1k Views = $0.59☆★☆ on: November 24, 2013, 08:02:03 AM
I don't mean to offend, but your pricing doesn't make such sense. Buying 1000 viewers is the cheapest option. I thought it's supposed to get cheaper as you buy more?
14  Economy / Goods / Re: FOR SALE:: BITCOIN GLASSES!! on: November 24, 2013, 07:54:55 AM
I just took a photo and photoshopped what they could look like. I have hundreds of pair of glasses sitting here collecting dust.
Should put that in the OP because it just makes you look untrustworthy.

Your right.... ill see if i can fix it
Great, you should look at other threads and see if there is any information you should include. Good luck with your sales.

Thank you for pointing that out. I kind of forgot about this thread as it wasn't getting any replies. I wonder if it would be easier to just sell all the glasses in a bulk, lol
Probably, seems like it would be too much of a hassle unless you are selling something that a lot of people. I.e Casascius coins, key chains. Stuff like that.
15  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CampBX [btc] missing on: November 24, 2013, 07:42:26 AM
Try complaining on their Facebook page. From what I can see is that their support is trash. Also, it seems like a lot of people are having problems. Good luck, hopefully your issue is resolved soon.

17  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Random Question on: November 24, 2013, 07:15:39 AM
I bought an Amazon $25 gift card on bitmit, I had no other way to buy it(no card and can't use PayPal). There aren't many BTC exclusive items if you are looking for answers about the purchase of such things.
18  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] New Beats Pill - White on: November 24, 2013, 07:07:37 AM
I'm not interested but you should put if escrow is accepted. Not many people out there willing to trust some random on a forum.

20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Now I can see it. on: November 24, 2013, 06:45:55 AM
I cant believe I was ignorant to actually read about bitcoin in the early days and the whole philosophy behind it. Ignorance is not bliss at all.
This will be a huge hit in the future(now) and just only become a standard in the the tech and growing world.
I see a world where bitcoins will become one of the main forms of making payments, intertwined with cash and credit. It is a alternative that everyone will want to have because of its accessibility, reliability and instantaneous transaction. As we grow in a world of being online via facebook, instagram and twitter it is safe to make a conclusion that this is the way of the new 21st century.
Remember in the early/mid 90s where experts would say that no one would make transactions online to make purchases like books? Look at us now. Remember when no one believed credit cards would make a huge in society because "there is no value"? Look at how much society is in debt because of credit cards.
This is the future and and truly feel miserable for missing the boat in the beginning.

As they say, hindsight is 20/20. Although you may be regretful, at least you are getting into bitcoins now instead of later in the future. People will have the same feelings farther in the future about still considering bitcoins as useless/ponzi/nothing.
