But I'm of the opinion that forcing any activity is going to be alienating and damaging to the coin.
Agree! The "repent" will make this coin only for religion instead of charity. The dev should use pos instead of pow since he is strong against mining.

It is better the price keep stable now for the early development. If the price goes up quickly, it will attract more pure miners just pursuing profit which is not the purpose of dev. I put some hashes on this coin after reading almost all the posts here. I thought this coin is promising and have good purpose to do charity by supporting orphan. Though I still have some difficulty to understand the mining logic including pool mining behind the coin.
The dev mixes the role of dev and pool operator and wants the miners do a lot of things like writing letters to orphan, voting the letter, donating to orphan fund instead of just mining. But some tasks should be performed by different roles. A miner cannot do everything the dev demands. We saw the network hashes up and down a lot. I guess some miners even do not know the orphan fund, just jumping in and leaving.
I put some hashes for solo mining testing and already found some blocks without the 6% letter writing fee. The rewards should be similar for solo and pool mining. So to attract the big miners to the pool is actually good to the pool if the server is not overloaded.

Thanks for sharing. A really mysterious coin. ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Rule change without any notice is really bad.

For solo mining, no need to run multiple daemons on one machine, am I right? I will create and encrypt a new wallet for solo mining.
Will different machine work on different tasks? Or they will solve the same task with the same wallet?
I didn't try it yet, I was just getting to it. Why, is it not the same as with the pool? Either way, I will write my findings soon.
Not the same. You have different wallet address for miners on different machine. Thanks for sharing your finding in advance. I have never tried solo mining before. Can we copy the same wallet on different machine? That's why I want to know how to setup a private testnet to try the solo.
Yeah, me too, I'm out. Btw, you will earn 6% more by solo mining. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Do you figure out how to manage multiple wallets for solo?
That will force me to try solo mining. It is not good to keep changing rule for a decentralized coin.
Is there any way to set up a private testnet to do some code testing?
Is the new idea like the smart contract?
BTW, I just checked the pool leaderboard. It looks like the pool can use one workerid for multiple miners now: inblue blu-a11 5818.9(HPS) 721669.92(HPS2) 1334(shares)
Some changes on the pool code?
Does the pool mining have advantage over solo mining? Just have some time reading the miner code.
I saw in BibleMiner in nonce loop if ((pblock->nNonce & 0x7FFF) == 0) break; out of the loop if (pblock->nNonce >= 0xFF) break; So anything after the above statement will be ignored (pblock->nNonce will be 0x8000 which is always > 0xFF): // Update nTime every few seconds if (pindexPrev) { if (UpdateTime(pblock, chainparams.GetConsensus(), pindexPrev) < 0) break; // Recreate the block if the clock has run backwards, // so that we can use the correct time. } The miner cannot just update the ntime to create a new task without createnewblock?

Another "future" block mined "just now":
Details for Block #1514023 Hash 00000000126c6af6a997a7daf2901fc7449f89f342c02c2fe3baa36339b2e50d Date/Time 2017-10-12 21:12:33 Transactions 1 0.3 kB Value Out 6.69755958 XMG Difficulty 4.70620313 Outstanding 7,481,882.13771263 XMG Created 6.69755958 XMG
It's 21:09 UTC...
Sorry, maybe it was not clear enough. I was in rush to post it quickly so that the time discrepancy could be noticed. Latest block mined at "Date/Time 2017-10-12 21:12:33", when it was just 21:09 (when I posted). This block violates the PoW/PoS/PoS/PoW sequence by coming right after another PoW block before *actual* 10 minutes have elapsed (but did elapse per *block datetime*, which *claims* to be some minutes in the future from actual present time). This situation happens for the same miner constantly: 9QkBmCcBXXoWkcHNYfVAtgk8bMb2qfKQAX That's possible, he can change the block header to move ntime ahead to bypass the rule? Looks like the rule is hacked in some way.

Letter writing should be awarded instead of penalized. Current way is not good. I am really not good at writing. Just copy and make a few changes does not make sense to me. Also there should be a least a cap like 5%. I do not mind to pay 5% to support charity. But any fee above 5% is kind of ridiculous. Let someone with talent to write the letter and get some rewards.
If the fee keep rising without a cap, I will try to follow the instruction to build a pool. But at the first glance, the instruction is hard to follow.
I just saw the letter fee went above 5%. Is there any maximum of the fee and how can I avoid it? Need an instruction on the pool page.
Non-Participating Letter Fees: 6%
My (Personal) Letter Fees: 6%
Edit: Also, since the pool is open source, someone could remove this fee? BTW, the fee is paid to the pool or orphan foundation?
Where the source and instruction for building the pool? I am interested in building one.

How can I compile the biblepay src in a fast computer in Ubuntu and copy the compiled program to a slow computer and run? Which compile option should I use? Right now, I copied the compiled program and it says a lot of libraries are missing.

Changed the promotion on http://xmg.luckypool.ml 0.5% fee till the end of Oct. Then back to 1%. Auto payout fee lowered to 0.01. Enjoy mining! and here is my 323 KH/s 18.876 XMG/Day 0.00105158 BTC/Day )))) so as you see, that's why you do not have a lot of coins either.
But do you have at least these 19 XMG/day? I have like 3-4 times less than pool stats promises, 5/day instead of 20. Last Hour 0.16497780 Last Day 4.01433732 Last Week 30.71153726 For my 150Kh/s on xmg.luckypool.ml, I get Last Hour 3.33806128 Last Day 6.90091307 Last Week 19.99277500 Lucky to find two big blocks recently. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)
