Why do we need 2 nem reddit pages?
From what I gather someone started their own NEM sub considering this is a community and not dictated by a single entity or special interest group, developers, or special interest group, want control over subreddit, owner/creator says no because this is the New Economy Movement that belongs to the community not a special interest group that has an agenda, developers hungry for control to fulfill their agenda start their own subreddit so they can dictate what happens there. Some "movement" huh? I have seen this with many coins, Want to see how this ends? Check out Reddcoin. No, pretty sure the guy who started the first nem subreddit wouldn't give anyone else administrative access other than himself - so the NEM marketing team decided to make their own subreddit. It's all pretty stupid anyways.

Meanwhile, no buy support until 72 on Polo.
Noob traders freaked out after one guy did the old trick of selling a big chunk of coins into his own buy wall. (educated guess) I think you've shown your hand my friend. It's obvious to me your early trolling was to edge the price down as you invested. Clearly you now want the price to rise. Sorry to break this to you but the reason the price is dropping is cause this coin has very little real future not trading tricks. Im not saying that to be a dick Im saying it cause there are many coins like this, better ones even with far less marketcap. If this coin deserves to be in the top 10 of market cap then Qora does too. I don't expect that to happen either. What other coin has multisig and POI?

Meh, so you had a successful launch... And your value is down about 10% from where it traded on NXT AE ($3,000,000 cap). Not much you can do on NEM, is there... And any plans for exchanges/markets are discussion stage ONLY. https://forum.ournem.com/general-discussion/decentralized-market-based-on-nem-platform/You're just fighting over the 50,000 hardcore crypto junkies... NEM with its NIS, NCC, delegated harvesting, secret POI formula, etc = techie jargon... And 64 bit desktop Java requirements NEM was not exactly designed by Apple for real people. Personally, I want NEM to succeed because it directly helps NXT... maybe you pull a rabbit out of the hat. But you will always be one year behind NXT and it's gonna be a long, hard slog under 100 sats... Unless you guys can get existing Dark Net businesses to move to NEM (which NXT has failed to do). If I recall correctly NXT was down towards the bottom of the barrel on Marketcap its first couple days after launch. It's a very bad sign when you cannot answer with NEM's merits... but change the subject to ancient NXT history. You were talking about marketcaps. You said NEM's marketcap wasn't very good after launch, and then you compared it to NXT. So I replied that NXT (which I'm not hating on at all) had a very small marketcap when it launched. I remember because everyone thought DGEX was shady and was avoiding it, and suddenly NXT skyrocketed to almost $.08-.10. My point being, give NEM some time to breath before you write it off.

How about a NEMstake reward for the number of original stakeholders who never sell the smallest decimal exactly 1 year from now And encourage hoarding? Nah.

Remember the good ole days of 1600% increases in alt-crypto when BTC was booming? Miss those times.

Lol. 9 bilions coins for 140sat. It's very very expensive guys. Waiting for 10sat price next month
It's selling at around $1,000 a stake. Not that different to the $700/stake it was selling for on the NXTAE.

This may have been answered already, but how many XEM will each stakeholder start with? At one point it was 1M, but that was when the coin supply was though to be 4B...

what's going on to NEM'price? We have passed from almost 3btc/stake to 2,15btc/stake Price is irrelevant at this point. Its still in beta. i don't think so. It means something. NEMStake is pegged to the price of NXT not a price of BTC. This is just because NXT has dropped about 20% in the last few weeks. uhm, ok, thanks for the explanation! i hope that when beta will finally ends, things will change. NEMstakes are irrelevant though. The stake supply is dwindling, users are taking their stakes off the Asset Exchange and registering their tokens. No one is buying or selling their stakes because stakes are basically useless now.

Can someone clarify, I was PM'ed an address to verify my NEM stake a couple weeks ago. I went through the verification process to get the address registered. After that it told me to wait for the next phase. That's all I've done so far with my stake. Does this mean I have an NEMStake on the NXT AE?
Nope, the NEMStake on the NXT AE is only for users who requested their stake to be issued to them there, or for people who used the NXT AE to buy a (partial)stake. You still have to wait a little bit before the redemption Thanks!

Sounds like a lot of fancy wishy-washy marketing spiel to win over investors, than actual end-users.
Then it's exactly how it sounds the devs don't care about the coin they are using this to get Bitcoin and the amount of coin can change at any time? WHAT. It does seem rather arbitrary, yes. Based on the amount of Ether sold so far, 8,326,240, and 2000 Ether = 1 BTC, they've currently amassed $2,614,000 in BTC. So a totally unproven company, essentially a startup, is currently valued at $2,614,000, and it's going to go much much higher. For a company with no product. Just promises. Does that sound like a worthy risk/reward ratio? That's up to you. I can just imagine they will be walking out when they have reached their goal (I hope they prove us all wrong) but because of the amount of devs and people involved with the altcoin I think they will be aiming to go past 10+ in usd. I think theres over 20 people involved with this alt coin. It's not an alt-coin. If you think of it as that, then i'm not sure if you fully understand what it is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJGIeSCgskcNo one fully understands it.

The ticker for NEM needs to start with an X. The possibilities are XNM, XEM, XNE. Of these, I really think XEM looks a lot better. Other people on Trello thought so too.
Thanks for the post jabo38, this is an important question for NEM. Maybe we should start a poll so everyone can express their opinion. Personally I like both XNM and XEM. I am not sure how XNM could be pronounced. I prefer XEM because it could be pronounced "ZEM," which sounds kinda cool Also, the N in NEM means "new," but in 100 years, will it still be considered "new"? Phasing out the "N" wouldn't be a bad idea at all. I think XNM visually looks better, but have to agree with you on all other points. I like phasing out the N too. +4 Separates us even further from NXT.

Litecoin too big to fail - just like automobile manufacturers and the banks. Some rich person will come in last minute, buy up the sell walls and send LTC to $30.
Lol right...
