How does one know or find out when it is a good time to consolidate transactions?

I've heard others say they can control their cost by having an option or something?
Currently 1 sat/byte will settle in under 1.5 hours!
Has anyone been able to find out how these bytes are measured? Is it the more inputs and/or BTC that drives the size of the transaction up?

inputs, has nothing to do with the actual amount of BTC   1 input of 1BTC is the same as 1 unit of 100BTC

Thanks for the info folks!  But I'm still stuck on Exodus and going to have to pay high transaction fees... They have no options to pick from as far as fees.  That said, when or if would be the best time to consolidate?  sounds like I'm going to get it anyway right, no matter what unless transaction fees go down?  Should I just hold there and wait?  How often do they drop to the lower rates?  I need a really easy SAFE, SECURE wallet for mining proceeds that I can set the fees with as I want to consolidate weekly or at least every couple of weeks...

I have a Nano S9 but it is acting up.  Nervous to do anything there...Can that be recovered if Nano S9 goes bad?  Just seems flaky...

Still scratching my head on what to do and when to do it...lol

I've been using Exodus wallet and it is a flat fee no matter what -- with no options or control.

Just looking to do one of 2 things, figure out when the best times to consolidate are (via a program or app)?? or get a new wallet of some kind that gives you those options.

Any help or direction in either scenario would be greatly appreciated.

I'm seeing something strange...60% of my miners are down according to the Workers page, Shift Graph, and the Shifts page but when I look at the miners work is still being accepted just like normal??

My first pool is the stratum on all my miners and I just rebooted a couple.  Everything is showing as alive and the rebooted machines are getting work and work is being accepted just like normal but they are still showing down on kano.is.
Mine did the same thing. About 25 miners. After a reboot all showed as mining on the miner and in awesome miner, but not on Kano.is. After a few hours, I pm'd Kano and he suggested a reboot. I tried it again and it worked. So you might just wanna try it a second time, or have Toomim do a cold boot.

I rebooted all miners last might and did not work... Rebooted server and the hub/switch and seemed to fix it... Something really weird must have caused this cause several people are commenting on same thing...

anyway all good and back to mining with KANO!

issues with miners connection as well...

8 miners... 3 of them say offline thru website and not mining..

I rebooted all 3... still not showing as mining..

Awesome miner shows them as active and mining with no problem...

any idea whats going on?  These S9 miners have been active for several months ...

All others s9 miners seem fine...

Thoughts?

Quick question as far as hosted mining in Canada and US specifically...

What in your opinion is a fair and reasonable price in US $$ for someone to host an S9 miner?

I've looked at a few sites and seen prices anywhere from $95 up to $125 per month..some more, some a bit less.

Does not seem like you getting ahead by much if any at those prices...

I've been looking to find a reasonable place to host them, but pretty much decided to just expand my own mining operation.

"Just curious, what would an 82 th hashrate have brought for this block?"

*** OK so to give you an example, fully ramped up at 98.93 THs I received .00838871 in BTC rewards...

Where you really start kicking some ass is when you are fully ramped up and we hit 2 or more blocks per day...  Then compare to those other pools.. This is the only place to mine bitcoin in my opinion!

Hope this helps a little...

I've not run any of the S9's but the Bitmain software is the same between my RT1-LTC, D9's & L3+'s so safe bet would be yes...

On a side note, where's a good place to point D9's for BTC?

Good Luck, and welcome to the Lite Side!

[/quote]

Thanks!

I have been mining on Kano pool and had good luck and great support in the Forum.   The use PPLNS and use 5ND for ramping up and down.

In short, miner goes down, pool hits a block, you still share in the rewards..

I am very happy there and rewards are the best of anywhere I have found...  I've tried Antpool and Slujshpool then found Kano pool and never went anywhere else...

They are not the biggest, but in my opinion they are the best....

PM me if you have any questions..

OK new to the Litecoin world as I am diversifying from BTC

I am currently running 8 S9's mining BTC

Just bought 2 of the Antminer L3+....

Is it the same setup bitmain software (root/root) that the S9's use? Just point at the pools US and US2 pools?

I already have my account and wallet all setup with Litecoin....

Any other tricks or things I should know...

Does anyone have the new Dragonmint 16T miner running yet?

I see where they are available on Ebay so guessing someone has a few running?

Initial thoughts on Hash Rate, Noise, and power consumption?  Are they worth the money for the extra 3TH over the S9?

Great deals out there on the new S9's if you have the $420 coupon...

Any feedback would be appreciated?

And I'm up.

Took longer than I expected for it to startup. I kept looking for an IP and wasn't finding anything. But I'm up and running now and providing Kano with my first hash and my first miner ever.

The most work was just getting the electricity supply properly setup.

WISHING YOU NOTHING BUT GOOD LUCK MY FRIEND!!

Are the hash cards interchangeable on the S9 miners with all of the different machine combinations?

Have 2 machines with some issues with hash boards ...one is a 12.3 ?? and one is a 13 or a 13.5 I think...

I assume the hash boards will interchange but will only hash at the rate they were designed for right?

I'd like to send a couple of boards off for repair.  Anyone know of a good place in the U.S. that will repair them?

Any idea on what they charge for repairs?  If it is to much for repair I'd be buying another new one..

Thoughts?

PS. I did just purchase a brand new s9 Antminer 13.5 on Bitmain for mid-april delivery for $755 (using BTH) which includes delivery.  I did use a coupon for $420 off though.. great deal if you can find the coupons!
