Works very nicely except requires modding "miner.sh" file to avoid the even card failure toggle back bug which prevents switching pools when an even number of cards is attempting to switch.
Email me if you want the version of miner.sh to prevent this.


This needs upgrade for more than 2 pools and also timed switch back to main pool after failure, but those aren't necessary.

Right now the easiest, fastest, and safest thing is these $500 Moneypaks, you can load them to Paypal, prepaid visa cards, or there's online money sites also that can load with them.

Using catalyst 11.6, xfce, sdk 2.5, current cgminer running in xterm - it seems to crash after running for minutes or hours, plmk if others are having this issue.

Also, anyone have an analysis of the scan-time feature and how 60 was chosen as default.
Same for retries, kernel, queue (why it goes all the way to zero and then up to 7).

Also, how long does it take to switch to higher priority pools (in failover) and how exactly the threads choose which pool for all the methods.

Without block % contributed reported, it will require a little extra work to compare (shares submitted divided by shares in the block), but its still worth it to see how various proportional vs pps pools are treating miners.

funny how the mod moved my pool comparison thread out of mining and into other because of ideological differences (the mod thought it was ok to take my btc, I disagreed), BUT these scammers have threads at the top of the currency exchange forum. . .

I was tempted to reply after initially seeing this post. For generally the reasons everyone else has, but with no intent of actually doing business.
But then a sick thought came to me. . .
Maybe if nobody else (after mdking clearly pointed out the BS) responded here then this thread would die and stop going back up to the top of the list.

Obviously not a viable option, since this is such a crazy post for multiple reasons, too good of a bait for replies.

If someone has never been scammed, it is probably not worth the trouble to protect them from gaining the valuable practical knowledge that scammers exist and they should learn to differentiate an obviously scam poster like this and legitimate traders.

Of course, it might be worth paying and trusting an intermediary (exchanges, etc.) to handle your btc if you're not comfortable discriminating.

outside of the big 2 ppser's, I have the impression all the smaller wtfpps systems limit individual miner rewards to a MAXIMUM of proportional contributions over the length of the miner career. E.G. if a miner only mines one long round and quits, they got lucky and will get the full proportional amount (20% of shares gets 10BTC). The long term target of the wtfpps system approaches with infinite rounds is the proportional payout. Are there any miners that have received higher BTC credit than their share % contributed? I don't think so, they didn't on eligius at least. Please link their stats if I'm wrong.
Next - proportional being unfair - no, i don't think so. It never gives less than the submitted shares % of the round, never more.
It's just more fair to the miners with more omniscience of where to work at. The more informed miner with ability to locate fresh pools can get better odds per share.
Just like people can choose where to spend their BTC, some places will give better deals than others. It doesn't make it unfair to everyone spending btc at bad rates because the more informed buyer spends their btc strategically.
Also similar, the only way to capitalize it to have huge amounts of btc to spend to exploit your omniscience of market conditions. The same goes for mining, the more GH you have to rotate between pools, the more you can exploit good deals for submitted shares.
As I posted before, the easy fail safe solution is to simply delay stats by the average pool round time divided by 2 to actually punish the hoppers (give them worse deals for submitted shares), while the steady miners continue to enjoy proportional share rewards.
Of course this is a problem for pools starting out, and I can respect that if they want to not allow the poolhoppers to benefit from the pool by refusing (to continue with) proportional rewards for any of the miners.
Admittedly, *theoretically* the miner will get proportionally rewarded from the perfect pps system if they mine infinitely.
But it seems the wtfpps market is already dominated by eligius, shich offers no login, no signup for the wtfpps benefits. Plus some cool pictures, wow.
