1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin Bullrun on: May 19, 2019, 03:58:57 AM
Back in 2017, BTC hit the ATH at December but all the altcoin hit ATH later in January 10 or so. Do you think, market will face an altcoin pump soon? If so, the right time to invest is now.

Although history tend to repeat itself overtime in the market but we should not just buy or sell based on the history alone, understanding the current market trend is still a safer bet to investing use the history as a benchmark for your consideration purpose.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum will Boom ! on: May 19, 2019, 03:55:02 AM
According to announcement of chain link, the decentralized oracle provider will launch on the Ethereum mainnet on May 30th.

And other side market cap is also $25.80 billion, which good thing.
So I think price will go up for surely.

Guy's,  what do you think about this ?

Regardless of the statistics of Ethereum, my view point of Ethereum is that Ethereum will have a great potential to do well in the future if not it will not be the coin that is ranked after bitcoin but in the years to come who knows maybe coins lie stellar or Neo overtake Ethereum and be the next big coin.
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: after only a few days the bitcoin has gone up, but now it's starting to fall aga on: May 19, 2019, 03:50:40 AM
whether someone will panic again and sell their bitcoin that they just bought a few days ago when going price up and now the bitcoin seems to have started lowering the price again, I hope it won't do it, because the market can suddenly rise and fall very quickly , so we must be calm and not be too hasty in buying or selling when the market moves up and lowers prices.

I bet that surely there are people who will go in and out of the market when market makes movement. More conservative traders or investors will want to scale out their portfolio when market makes a move as one one knows what will happen to the market the next few minutes or seconds. So in order for the price to really grow and stabilize what the market really need is long term traders and not speculators.

5  Economy / Speculation / Re: Whales are back ? on: April 08, 2019, 04:33:21 PM
Volume has been increasing since last week..is thia sign of whales entered into the market?

Agree with you that volume is increasing consistently however whales can be a teo edge sword we can depend on them to help bring up the market but we never know when they will leave and at the same time leaving a heavy impact on the market.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Impacts of IEOs on the crypto-ecosystem on: April 07, 2019, 10:47:52 AM
IEO which in full means initial exchange offering is not a new topic in the crypto eco-system. Long before Binance Launchpad, several projects have taken that path to raise funds for there project by offering the native currency of their platform to traders on exchange. I remember observing a few on mercatox some years back. It was definitely no big deal as at that. Today IEO has become a menacing rave in the crypto-space owing to the fact that majority of the ICO in time past have failed to list on reputable exchange for investors. regardless of the hype and uniqueness of a project,  securing reputable exchange with good trade volume is key to the liquidity of digital assets and sad to say it today's crypto investors don't want to wait for products. They rather sell the hype than wait for the long term yield that will accompany this project gaining real-life application.
The impact of this IEO model proposes three debilitating factors on the blockchain community.

1. Lack of widespread distribution of nodes and monopolization of the. Today's IEO model literally plays into the hands of whales. With the likes of bittrex favoring high purchase by a single user. It's not hard to see whales controlling the valuation of these upcoming projects cryptocurrency on exchange. Asides from prices, centralization of nodes can be dangerous as it can lead to treats on the network with respect to mining. A Single-user acquiring a subset of the network can be catastrophic.

2. The IEO mechanism does not truly favor long term growth of this project. Now it's important to note that the majority of these coins sold on exchange are bought not by investors but by traders who actively trade on exchange. Majority of this traders do not no a thing about this project and will dump at the slightest profit or in the face of the slightest loss. Some might say it's part of the market cycle. Weak hands selling to stronger traders but it's key to note that community is very important in crypto compared to other market and it's almost impossible to build suck around traders who do not care or look towards the success of this project.

3. This exchange is also doing too little to protect the interest of participants who take part in these IEOs. In my opinion, it shouldn't just be about raising funds and meeting Hardcaps. These exchange should take up more roles. Some examples I picked up from the Pledgecamp project concept includes. Strategic disbursements of funds raised during these IEO events based on achievements of milestones, certification and other pre-agreed terms all design to ensure this project doesn't just bail off with people's money or fail to develop products that can attract value to the native currency.

In conclusion, a lot more tinkering needs to be done in order for IEOs to continue to flourish and promote the growth of the blockchain community. If steps aren't taken to prevent these impacts, we might see the IEO trend failing just like the majority of ICOs have failed.

Well firstly i find that IEO is a new innovative way in crypto space. However there is always pro and cons on any new idea, i believe the cons that is explain by you can be quite true but recently i heard from my friends is that they are able to make some profits from IEO at the moment though.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the governments ban all privacy cryptocurrencies ? on: April 07, 2019, 10:41:12 AM
I'm considering to buy and hold some privacy coins for long term. I read some articles and they said governments are taking harsh stances on privacy coins. Do you think they will ban all privacy cryptocurrencies by prohibiting exchanges to list those coins?

From what i think i suppose even if the government do that they will not be able to fully stop the trading of certain coins in exchange at the most centralize exchange might get affected but in crypto there is still decentralized exchanges.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum (ETH) is still the long-term investment option number 1 on: April 02, 2019, 04:30:40 PM
The world of crypto and crypto coding has been making strides in recent years. In all projects and encodings, Ethereum remains the most popular investment companion to Bitcoin. It is not surprising that Ethereum has surpassed Litecoin and other coiners since it appeared in the pre-codec market in a very short time.
However, in the past ETH decline and many bad news about ETH constantly appear, the trust of some investors to ETH lost.
You think ETH Is the No. 1 choice of investors?

I am quite sure as of now ethereum should be one of the main choice investors might be looking at. Going with the trend in crypto space if ethereum is not competitive enough developers will not want to tap on their platform and not XLM or EOS
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: "BOUNTIES" Is it still worth it? on: April 02, 2019, 04:27:14 PM
Why will doing bounty not worth it? I am sure out of 10 bounties even if you can at least hit one of the performing ICO all the effort you put in to do the other 9 will be back and most probably you will have more benefit compare to the work you do on the bounties.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't give up yet on: March 13, 2019, 01:30:46 PM
The cryptocurrency space has been discouraging for a while now and there's a possibility for people to want to walk away from the industry. Some persons made substantial investment in purchasing altcoin whose value has greatly reduced and the thought of everything could make one want to loose hope. I'm of the opinion that making profits should not be our only goal in the industry but learning and contributing to its growth should be our focus. There's always light at the end of the tunnel and we would get there very soon. Let's be patient for a little more while, no matter how long the night lasts, the morning will surely come. Don't give up yet.

I am standing on the same side as you currently the markets is just having some hiccup and there is still big hopes for crypto in the coming future, you should not give up crypto because of this small hiccup.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Got a Job after loosing hope in Bounties on: March 13, 2019, 01:27:45 PM
Hi,

I was a bounty hunter just like many others here. Was hoping that i can earn my living by doing bounty hunting rather then kissing someone's azz 9 to 5. But it looks as if the cryptocurrency world is not ready for us or may be not willing to accept us anymore.
So after sticking to my beliefs that it will grow and good times will come, but the time has come that i have to look for alternates and here i am sitting in an office doing "YES Sir", "No Sir" and hoping that i can have a financial stability to avoid doing job anymore.

Seriously looking for suggestion to gain financial freedom and don't have to do a job anymore.

What i advice is that treat your new job that you get as a stepping stone to fund your portfolio in crypto and when the market outlook is good most probably you will have a healthy portfolio as well.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long does Ico last? on: March 10, 2019, 02:42:05 PM
How long does Ico last?

So, my friend is participating in the subscription campaign in the OUTOFTHLOUD project. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4814891.0
then something has changed and now https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5085373
The rewards program began on August 1 and continues to this day. It has been 8 long months. Posts in social networks stopped at the end of 2018. For all Telegram questions, when the program ends for a fee, my friend gets one answer - after Ico. When asked when Ico will end - silence.
It’s a pity to throw a signature, it turns out 8 months of work wasted ...

Tell me, is there a limit on the duration of Ico? It can not last forever?

Well ICO will extend due to many reasons like cannot even reach their soft cap and in worse case the ICO might be a scam. So do not be surprise that an ICO last for a long time. However i does not think that an ICO will last forever even if scam they will not want to do that they will scam as much as possible and move on with a new scam.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how you feel at this point(currently) on: March 10, 2019, 02:34:35 PM

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to recognize a good time to sell a coin? on: March 06, 2019, 02:19:17 PM
Hi all!
I and many of us here earned a lot coins form bounty campaigns. And I have real dilemma: How to recognize a good time to sell a coin? How to avoid loosing everything by holding coins that will die, but also how to choose coins that are good to hold because they can give us 10x,100x.
Thank you for your comments Wink.

There is no best time to sell or by a coin, having a strategy to buy and sell the coin is a better way than looking at the market to determine when to buy and sell the coin. Markets always move faster that you can react so chasing the market is futile and you should not do it.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bill gates says cryptocurrency is bad on: March 06, 2019, 02:16:28 PM
In his own reddit AskMeEverything page, https://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/80ow6w/im_bill_gates_cochair_of_the_bill_melinda_gates/

He answers about cryptocurrency stating
“The main feature of crypto currencies is their anonymity. I don't think this is a good thing. The Government’s ability to find money laundering and tax evasion and terrorist funding is a good thing. Right now crypto currencies are used for buying fentanyl and other drugs so it is a rare technology that has caused deaths in a fairly direct way. I think the speculative wave around ICOs and crypto currencies is super risky for those who go long.”

He isn't wrong in his sense, if the cryptocurrency is to have a future, they should be able to create an environment of trust between themselves and the authorities.

I am quite sure that if a crime is bound to happen he will surely find a way to do so and crypto is just one of the method. There is always to side to a view and whether it will be good or bad depends on you and not the avenue that can help you.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market correction before bull run on: March 02, 2019, 01:48:02 PM
The cryptocurrency market is presently in a correction stage, correcting its prices because of the massive bull run that happened late 2017 and the correction period is always longer than the increase period. Veteran's in the market understand this very well and are focused on buying the bottoms but the newbies are the ones complaining and nagging about the market prices.

I am sure of one thing which is the fact that when people earn everyone is happy but when shit happens everyone is whining no matter how big is the shit. Like what you have say i believe this massive corrections is caused by the previous massive bull run, we see the price dropping more and more massively should be the cause of leavers after leavers which cause the market supply to increase and at the same time lessening the demand.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who is the king of Altcoin? on: February 28, 2019, 09:27:02 AM
The king of cryptocurrency is Bitcoin. But who is the king of Altcoin?

The King of Altcoin who is ETH or Litecoin? I think ETH is the reason most are used in ETH at airdrop. And the price of the ETH is much higher than all other Altcoin. The number of users of ETH coins is also much higher. Litecoin also has a number of users then I think ETH coins are King of Altcoin. It is my personal opinion. You can give your opinion. I know there is many more good Altcoin but ETH is the best. I hope everyone will give feedback.

Best regards
Coin-Desk

I think is ethereum for now but will ethereum maintain its position will depends on the ethereum developers.Additionally with the support of carious ICO campaigns ethereum is going stronger and stronger.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is it ok to lock your bounty for 4 months on: February 22, 2019, 08:35:53 AM
Ok I received my liker coins this month but unfortunately, I would have to wait for 4 months or the month of May before they let me trade their token, do you think this is ok they never mentioned that they are going to lock for 4 months during the bounty period, what's your thoughts on this?

This is their thread
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5061763

If it is say before hand or when something unexpected happen it is still acceptable. If you give it a thought that if the ICO make their coins tradable at bad time the coins that you get might not worth anything at all and once it is trade-able in exchange all the other people in the campaign will want to sell away their token at the same time as well and high possibility that the coins value will drop to a low very fast before you are able to do anything about it. Personally i also hate this lock up but if you think deeper you might agree to their lock up also.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Crypto A Way To become Rich / Millionaire ? on: February 22, 2019, 08:30:07 AM
Today Want to  Ask , did Satoshi Created bitcoin to solve poverty  issues or he created this bitcoin so solve financial transaction problems !!
Is crypto  a get rich quick scheme as people are putting their  mindset into  it  ?

Whether is Satoshi having a good or bad intention when creating bitcoin is a big unknown. What that is important is the mindset of the person that use the bitcoin for like last year we do see many crypto adopters become big whales but in the starting of 2019 we also experience people going broke or suffer huge damage due to the market. What i propose is that bitcoinis not a scam but people can make it into a scam or not a scam based on their own thinking.
