Back to the subject... check out this prediction from 1 year ago:

https://www.tradingview.com/chart/BTCUSD/YRZvdurN-The-target-of-current-bubble-lays-between-40k-and-110k/

It's freaking amazing.

Interesting that we have been in that middle channel for so long. Even if we followed the lower channel we'd be in decent shape long term.

That chart is by PentarhUdi aka Masterluc aka Bitcoin Vanga - his forecasts are well respected by a fair few people.

His recent mid-term opinion is bearish however :

A good start - BCash has rolled back some of the misleading changes it recently made to the site they are cybersquatting on : https://bitcoinist.com/bitcoin-activated-immune-system-bitcoin-com-lawsuit-opens-donations/
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to go below 4000$ on Feb 20 on: February 13, 2018, 01:29:56 PM
I strongly disagree with the author. own bad news and negativity, out of the blue, interfere with the growth! There is no reason now to go even below 7500. on the contrary now we need to punch 10, and to gain a foothold, soon we are waiting for the reversal. We need more positive news, and we'll grow.)
Yeah, creating negative speculations can only cause trouble to btc community. I support your thoughts and we must spread positive speculations about btc not that showing charts than can only make worries to us crypto supporters. Instead we must believe that btc will sooner be going up and will be back to its track.

I really hope Bitcoin isn't so weak that it's price can be influenced by 1 negative forum post.  Smiley

By the same token, posting loads of positive speculation isn't going to affect the price either.

Incidentally, I don't agree with the OP's analysis, however it seems as valid as other random graphs I've seen recently that say we are going to the moon.

I don’t hold with the level of racism in this thread either.

A ban of Roach would be a good start.  His noodlings on physical silver don’t bring sufficient value to justify his other bullshit.  I don’t give a flip if he has has been here since day 1.

Who has mod powers on this thread now ?

Yes some of his racist crap offended me too and I'm not no bleeding heart liberal. But I believe in free speech,. quite passionately . Best way to counter is with some salient argument or just simply ignore. Besides he does make some interesting observations at times.

Free speech is fine, I'm strongly in favour with some limits - but the internet is full of forums for racists to vent their shite. It's not relevant to this thread, and should get modded (and yes I get the irony that this discussion isn't either).

Nope. You either have free speech, or there are things you are allowed to say. There is no middle ground. Fuck off. Cunt.

haha, bellend. why the hell does this forum have a moderator then?

At least ignoring people makes the page catch-up quicker.... But does no one else think some things are beyond the pale?

I just despair of a worldwide forum supposedly devoted to freedom for all being so intolerant and ignorant sometimes. I guess it's me that's the oddball looking at the shit that passes by here as 'normal' as far from it.  I have punched people for less, and yep, had the shit kicked out of me for objecting, too.

However, I don't think advocating racism and even genocide on here is anything but abhorrent and I never will, so I can't change my spots.

I cannot tolerate it when my forbears fought and were prepared to (and sometimes did) die to fight this, so I think I had better stop lurking here.

I  temp. unignored a few of these racists to find out what had pushed you over the edge.

None of them say anything useful about bitcoin or the price or the world. Unlike you, who occasionally...

They must have been very hurt somewhere along the line to be so rabidly, rigidly raging.

I don't argue with them, because they certainly won't change in the face of logic.

Horrified newbies will always engage them, so their cries will leak into one's feed.

Maybe we should engage those newbies with stirring little speeches rather than running away.

This is appreciated.  I can't remember a day in years I haven't checked in on the WO - it's part of my life, I engage with it less often than I read it.

But I wanted to yesterday, then my blood just suddenly ran cold when I felt I was just part of a thread peppered with stuff that made me question what kind of people I was nodding along with.  Some things were waved though without being seen as anything but normal - and I seemed the only person to find them sickening.

Maybe I should look away more often and wear an old-fashioned clothes peg on my nose, or perhaps better still - yes; fight for the positive, rather than run from the the negative.

I will reconsider and not flounce out.   That said, I am damned if I won't speak my mind if I feel compelled to.

Thank you.

^ This.

Been following this thread on and off since my first bitcoin purchase in 2013 - never really contributed (the Newbie account is because i went away for a bit and the forum got hacked or something).

Came back in the last few months to see 100% nazi posts going on in this thread - WTF?

I guess mostly it's some troll clowns who think they are funny, but some seem so extreme they probably are nazis - I'm thinking primarily of Realr4cist or Realr3tard or whatever he's called. Thankfully not seen him for the last couple of weeks - hopefully his week hands collapsed and he lost everything.
Surely they could just go and hang out on 4chan or somewhere?

I thought HODL was just a typo error meaning HOLD from this forum a few years ago.  Not sure where he got Hold On For Dear Life from?
