ok. no more fucking with wireless connections. i went and bought a 5port switch and now i have my laptop that is running the stratum, the blade, and internet connection all running into the switch.

the stratum is running but my blade keeps resetting every 2 1/2 min.  it never connects to the pool.

my configuration is as follows:

IP : 192.168.1.201
Mask : 255.255.255.0
Gateway : 192.168.1.1
WEB Port : 8000
Primary DNS : 192.168.1.1
Secondary DNS : 211.148.192.141
Ports : 8332, 8332
Server addresses : 192.168.1.100, 192.168.1.100
user:pass : rffr.worker1:xxxx, rffr.worker1:xxxx

Gateway : don't touch 192.168.1.1
Webport : I don't touch 8000
Primary DNS : I believe i didn't touch 192.168.1.1
Secondary DNS : I believe i didn't touch 211.148.192.141
Ports : 8332,8332
Server address : Your laptops IP address EG 192.168.1.2,192.168.1.2 (yes twice)
user:pass : username:password,username:password

thanks for the call back

IP : 192.168.1.201
Mask : 255.255.255.0
Gateway : 192.168.1.101
Webport : 8000
Primary DNS : 192.168.1.254
Secondary DNS : 211.148.192.141
Ports : 3333, 3333
Server Address : stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333, stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333

ok.  im getting a little frustrated.  im new to this bitcoin/computer stuff but im a fast learner.  i just need somebody to point me in the right direction.

i have a V2 erupter blade hooked up to the powersupply and im looking at the configuration page on my laptop.  i have the IP changed to 192.168.1.201 like i have seen suggested.

i cant figure out what to do with the rest of the stuff.

im trying to connect to Slush's pool and i downloaded the stratum and got that running... i think.

all of this is being done via a laptop  and wireless router... maybe thats my problem

can someone help me out in "layman's terms"?

Itun.  i hadnt thought about the condensation, but since it was mentioned i dont think i want any moisture developing on my rig.  winter temperatures might be ideal if there were no humidity to form condensation.

another temperature question.  im trying to get all my ducks in a row before i get started.

thanks for the advice on the condensation.... but theoretically if you could achieve 0 humidity, then the colder the better?

hi all.  im new and looking to dip into the bitcoin pool.  ive recently ordered parts to setup an entry level rig.  im not trying to get rich, just want to earn a few coins and see what happens.

im setting up a ASICminer block eruptor blade.  ive got the electricity and internet part figured out.  i will be keeping the rig in a garage and while the ambient temperature stays around 60F, ive had thoughts of taking advantage of this winter and may pipe in some sub-freezing air.  i know computers like to stay cold, but how cold is "too cold"?  will keeping it this cold help with performance?  will it damage my blade?

any insight will be helpful

thanks guys
