1  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PSA: coinbase.com defrauds with different schemes on: December 11, 2013, 12:35:27 AM
This is unsettling.. because I just opened an account a few weeks ago and completed my first transaction with them. As a test and it took about 5 days from when initiated, but it went through. Now I have a positive balance with them, should I remove my bank account info with them? Is my checking account safe at all?

SCAM WARNING ABOUT XCHANGA
I have been posting about this xchanga guy since yesterday. He is a total rip off..
Just google his name and you'll see someone who already got burned for $1000 USD over at the talkgold forum.
Xchanga uses other names to pretend he has bought from xchanga. All he does is talk to himself.. it is the same bad english when he pretends to be a satisfied customer.. it is pretty funny.. but hope no one has dealt with him.
He won't escrow either.
what a loser

Hello, I am a new and so I post in this section.    I see the OP seems to target newbies but what I wonder is why not post in the Marketplace > Currency exchange section  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0  or post as an official exchange business?

That's because he is a scammer. So he hopes to get the noobs that are desperate for coin.

He uses several accounts to give himself rep. Over at the goldtalk forum he was banned already. Pretty shady dude.. he made a post on the noob section that was comical. He made several posts on that thread saying how many he had left and the price like someone had already bought them LOL.. he got called on it though.. I wonder how many more posts he'll be able to make here before a moderator bans him too.

So is the only other option for US based buyers to meet locally with a seller?
And after you get your coins, what if you need to sell fast and get your fiat quickly? what do you use for that?

Signed up for coinbase, but they were saying I had to wait til thursday next week and who knows what happens with BTC by then.. there has to be a better US based exchange, no?
