I do not know if you all wanted this but I asked mintpal to put the coin on the voting list.

Wow, that giveaway took a long time to pay  Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink

I think they needed 5 minutes.

Good job guys.

Lol; I am working on the forum so I'm around :p

Have anyone contacted mintpal to get distroblitz on their voting list? I have voted for blitzcoin several times every day there, is there anyway that distroblitz can continue on blitzcoins votes or do we have to start from zero?

I think we need to start from 0; mintpal is not my target now; my main objective is distribution; which I think is the key to success. See the people coming after having some free coins ? Isn't that the basis to a strong community ? That's why doge is so powerfull now; u could have had millions for free; and people with those free coins started a nice community.

We don't have pow for distribution; but giveaways; which I think can be a big difference. We had pow with blitz; hashrate and btc were injected at this time; now we all have a part back and we have to share this a lot. You will still have your investment as you can claim your free DB as anyone; and a guy from a poor african country with no money too  Grin

Big holders are not good for traders; so they won't pump our DB without a lot of smaller older. Blitz holders are DB's core.

In fact you still have some time to buy some really cheap coin while participating in our growing community Smiley

Keep posting ideas on our new forum http://distroblitz.uk.to/  Grin

I understand. But I still think we should contact mintpal to get listed on their voting list, it will still take a long time before distroblitz is listed if someone does not pay for a lot for the votes. I was not registered on bittrex before but I just registered and bought some more distroblitz, so I hope in the long run it gets listed on mintpal or crypzy.

Markets frozen, and no update why on the twitter feed or anywhere else. Time to get worried again?
5  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: POLL: How to Deal with Stolen BTC on Poloniex on: March 05, 2014, 01:31:17 AM
It seems my btc balance has dropped by 12.3%. Could you please post somewhere on my account balances page the amount taken and like some sort of accounting function showing how much has been earned back? As of now it's just vaporized as far as i  concerned. We basically need a receipt showing we loaned the site operator 12.3% of our balance.

+2

I agree. I did not loose very much BTC, but I still think you should announce some kind of plan to your users. One step could be (or should be) to email the users that you have reduced their BTC balance at your site and explain why their coins are missing and what you are going to do about it. I have not yet lost confidence in your site, and I understand that you are under a lot of pressure right now and have to work hard. But I think it is in your best interest to continue to communicate with your customers. Not only trough bitcointalk, take some time to think about the situation and some time to sleep, but I still think you should email your customers with an explanation of why some of their BTC has dissapeared from their accounts, and what your future actions will be. Ill be expecting an explanation in your site or in an email within 48 hours. That sounds reasonable to me, what do you other guys think?

I do not find any information about withdrawal fees and limits for the different coins at your site. Do you take any withdrawal fee for BTC and what is the minimum limit? If the information about fees and limits is written anywhere please provide a link, thanks.

If logged in, you can see the details for the coins you specifically have a balance for, here; [Suspicious link removed]/balances/

I suppose it may make sense to also add this information to this link; [Suspicious link removed]/usercoins/  which shows all the coins regardless of balance.   I'll add it to my list.

The line with my bitcoin balance says txfee 0.0001 so that is the fee you take if I withdraw the bitcoins? Is the fee always the same or does it get smaller if I withdraw larger ammounts?
Same. It's the Bitcoin network's fee, not the pool's. So, if you set a higher threshold, you'll pay lesser tx fee in the long run.

Allright, thanks. I have never thought about bitcoins network fees before, even if I have sent and recieved quite many transactions the last several months. Seems like it is an offtopic discussion, but i found some numbers that BTC have had an average about 65000 transactions the last month. I know it is offtopic but is it really necessary with a 0.0001 transaction fee?  Has there been any discussion about making it one zero smaller? Right now the world pays about 6.5BTC in fees per day for all BTC transations.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TagCoin - The World's First Rewards Coin (mandatory update to 1.0.5) on: March 01, 2014, 06:10:30 AM
I have written in this thred once before without success. I once again want to raise the question of what is going on with tagcoin. I have not mined it or quite a while, but I have some coins put away because I believed in this. A coin that was backt up with a real company that was trying to accomplish great things for the future. I believe yout coin had a great chance of becoming someting, something with real value.

What Iam lookiing for now is an update from the development team. Are you focusing your efforts on other things or does tagcoin still have a priority with you gous? The price is in an awful downward trend, but that is quite logical due to what is happening with the coin.

I just took a look at 3 pools mining tagcoin and here are some examples

http://tag.hashfaster.com 32 found , 5 orphan - 15.63% orphans
botpool.net  3 of latest 30 block are orphans = 10% orphans
cryptominer.net 7 of the latest  100 is rounds orphan   =7%

Im just curious what your next move will be, I do not want to get stuck with a bunch of tagcoins that I mined at a much higher difficulty than what it is now.

So Mark, do you consider these orphan rates "normal" or are you going to take som action to try to change what is happening now? Im not up to speed on all altcoins, but an orphan rate between 10-15% does not look right to me.

Please consider the issues and the consequences they may bring, and do what is right for your business . Business is business, if you lost interest in tagcoin I will not blame you. If you do not want to make an public announcement of your plans (if you have any) i would appreciate an pm.

What do you other people think of the situation? ( I mean peaople with no connection to tagcoin, who is mining or have bought a stack of tagcoins?) Hold, buy sell? I would hate to sell those tags for 50-60 USD pennys, but if nothing happends I dont believe TAG is coming back as a stronger currency.

The floor is open, I would appreciate a response from the tag coin developmnet team, but also opinions and suggestions from other people that holds TAG or is intrested in the subject. Thanks in advance. (I hope I have not stept on anyones toes with my comments, supcicions and wonderings)

Think about it and goodnight!

Regards; knektlife

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [sgminer] - version 4.0.0 on: February 02, 2014, 08:24:49 AM
Personally it showed no improvement on my HD7850 card. Probably needs a lot of tweaking to find the better "Sweet spot" above 414 hash. But I like keeping current on my software. Thank you very much for providing it.

Hi. Just wanted to ask if you would care to share your exact settings and card model for the 7850 card that you claim do 414 khash. I just have two 7850, but they are the cheap xfx ones with 1gb memory and only one fan, and with high overclocks I reach about 385 khash. The temperature of my cards is then between 74-80C so I do not believe I can clock them any higher. But please share your settings if you like, cause I plan to pick up more cheap 7850 cards and sell off my 5-series cards while they still are alive and worth something.

Love watching my balance go from 20 to 7... because the last 15 blocks were all of the sudden orphaned.  This coin has lost another miner.

Good luck folks.

It looks as if tagbond has lost interest in this pet project. Too bad, but it never caught the community attention anyway, for whatever reason.

You got any inside info about tagbonds interests? I hold quite a bit of tag because I belived in the project so I should not write negative tings about it. According to their site they have a large team working on tagbong/tag and so on so I would excpect that it would not take weeks to fix a severe issue like this. The price of the coin on cryptsy is also falling and all the developers can say after days of trouble is "We are working on a fix to the orphan issue". Im not a computer geek and can`t understand or fix the code, but other shitcoins have taken care of problems much faster than this. Once again I beg for a timeframe for a hardfork/fix/anything or some soothing words from tagbond other than "We are working on a fix to the orphan issue". (I apologize if I stept on someones toes, but Im a bit drunk and mad about all the orphans and that the price decreases. But If anyone have some info that I lack i appreciate if you send am pm if you do not want to make it pubic)
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TagCoin - The World's First Rewards Coin on: January 17, 2014, 10:35:16 PM
Sweet, switched back to mining TAG just in time for 50% orphans in a 2 hour run  Sad  Really hope that the fixes that were alluded to materialize and solve this, or at least settle things down somewhat. It's impossible to make any kind of meaningful ROI calculations for the last few days.

It feels almost like a lottery to mine tag right now. I would appreciate an update from the developers regarding the issue and timeframe for an update/solution to the problems. In my eyes TAGs "reputation" deteriorates every day this continues. I know that you are avare of the problems, but some soothing words or a timeframe from the developers would be welcome.

Do I have to update my coinye wallet?  I have the original from launch night.

Thanks for any info.

I have the same question. I have the one from the original launch and currently it says "up to date" on blocks and im connected to 8 nodes by default.

The original one works for me. Just got paid from coinye.pw

Someone who knows what is really going on with this coin?
Why did the diff go to 13 and not the predicted value just before the change?
Why is the pools showing the wrong net hashrate?
Is the next difficulty really expected to be 2.9?
Can this site (http://cfm.crayeo.com/countdown.php) be trusted?

Oh so many questions about this strange coin...

Why are you not trusting my information page? =(

Did not say that I don`t trust it, just asked the opinion of others. So when the site says: Current hashrate:   204,543,336 is that 2.04GH/S?

That's 204 MH/s Smiley

Then that cant be the current net hashrate since dedicatedpool has 287MH/S alone?

People, please move your miners from dedicatedpool to somewhere else!  They do currently have 180 MH/s pool speed from 300 MH/s net speed (60%).

I'm currently mining at http://coye.bitember.com which does currently have 22 MH/s.

hmm isnt the other one at 70% 70+60 is way off 100% or i suck at math....

seems like net hash speed is wrong

Yes. The net hashrate indicted by the pools is wrong, or the hashrate of those two pools is wrong. Just checked it and together they would have 400MH/S and the network 300
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][COYE] Coinye Coin - v3.0 on: January 16, 2014, 11:25:11 PM
What do you guys think the net hashrate will jump to once the difficulty retargets?
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][COYE] Coinye Coin - v3.0 on: January 16, 2014, 11:19:07 PM
Can anyone tell me what the difference will be mining at a pool with 50 active miners or 200? In other words, how does joining a pool that has 25mhs of active mining compared to 140mhs of mining affect my payout? Will the bigger pool simply find more blocks and thus giving me more coins?

The variance of your payouts will be bigger in a smaller pool. But in the long run you will earn the same ammount of coins. (If you do not take the luck of the pool into consideration)
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][COYE] Coinye Coin - v3.0 on: January 16, 2014, 09:19:30 PM
I can sell some in chunks of 100 000 COYE for 0.045 BTC if someone is interested.
Or 100 000 COYE for 100 000 DOGE.
