1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] RapidCoin - Just Launched! [COINMARKET.IO] [POOLS] [BOUNTIES] on: February 14, 2014, 03:13:28 PM
That is what has happened historically with all the cheap new coins. It is probably only a matter of time before RapidCoin is pumped. There are some big coin pumpers on Twitter... Who knows, maybe that is why someone has a 50,000 RPD buy order right now. Maybe we will see a RapidCoin pump sometime in the next week..

rapidcoins must be pumped)

RapidCoin is up 100% from earlier... Smiley

Most coins don't offer anything new -- that doesn't stop them from having market caps which greatly exceed this one. Look at Elacoin or Orbitcoin -- plenty of coins have a premine and still soar.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com - Market Cap Rankings of All Cryptocurrencies! on: February 13, 2014, 02:11:11 AM
Would it be possible to show all coins by default with the option to opt-out and have just 100 displayed per page?

I noticed someone on the previous page couldn't find Fedoracoin and I myself didn't originally notice the link to see the next 100 coins since I wasn't looking for it. People who don't notice the link are going to be confused when their coin seems to have suddenly disappeared from CoinMarketCap.com.

So you're mad at the dev and taking it out on the coin which the dev is no longer a part of? I fully support you flaming the **** out of the dev whenever and whereever you please (not that my support means anything) but would it be too much to ask that you leave this coin alone now that the dev is no longer a part of it?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: STAR COIN [STR] - The coin with bonus STAR blocks on: February 06, 2014, 11:52:52 AM
The market cap is ~ $85,000 for Starcoin at present. (There are 40 million Starcoins in circulation)

Starcoin was worth a whole lot more before the block explorer went down... *hint* Smiley
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: STAR COIN [STR] - The coin with bonus STAR blocks on: February 06, 2014, 06:10:46 AM
Any chance someone can fix the block explorer? Starcoin has one of the lowest market caps on CoinMarketCap.com and I'm sure more people would invest if they knew how cheap it was!
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BTG BitGem NEW DEVELOPMENT: COLORED GEMS & STICKY TRANSACTIONS on: February 01, 2014, 07:22:31 AM
Bitgem really is soaring on Cryptsy!
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Catcoin - Scrypt meow! on: January 10, 2014, 11:03:37 AM
Pretty sure the sell wall at 30 and 35 is Leo showing us he still has 20k+ CATS Smiley

LOL what the fuck was that massive sale just now

I suppose it wasn't really THAT much. Still the price change was pretty drastic.

Oh god I'm suddenly making a killing from the gap. Went from 223 CAT to 252 just from one trade thanks to that.

Pretty sure that 6k sell wall @ 30000 is fake.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Catcoin - Scrypt meow! on: January 10, 2014, 10:13:41 AM
Most of the coins are up in the past day or two.. I wouldn't read too much into it, especially when Leo is the one doing all the buying. Leo really should go buy some BitBars right about now -- he is quite good at buying high and selling low or so I hear.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Catcoin - Scrypt meow! on: January 10, 2014, 07:38:25 AM
It's nice to see the real LeoC reveal himself. He does come across as an upper middle class college aged kid, not some stock trader with 5 years experience though...
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Catcoin - Scrypt meow! on: January 10, 2014, 07:03:13 AM
I guess that means prices are going to rise soon...

You should buy another 17k before they do. Roll Eyes
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Catcoin - Scrypt meow! on: January 10, 2014, 06:23:07 AM
Whoever has the 17k sell wall is clearly the same person who has the 7k bid at 30. Just a heads up for everyone. Probably not the best time to buy when he is in a dumping mood. If someone sells him 7k at 30, I expect his price will go down in a real hurry on his 17k since he won't have anything left to artificially inflate the market with. The going rate is most clearly not 30 right now and only looks that way because of his pathetic attempt to get his CATs sold. Only a novice trader or incompetent whale would be buying that kind of CAT quantity for short term speculation in the present climate.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Catcoin - Scrypt meow! on: January 09, 2014, 03:06:24 PM
Hopefully Leo comes back soon...
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Catcoin - Scrypt meow! on: January 09, 2014, 09:27:51 AM
Well at least there is some nice 7k CAT protection at 30000 again Smiley

Hmm so when Leo removed his buy order that 18k fake sell wall came back @ 40000.

Interesting.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com - Market Cap Rankings of All Cryptocurrencies! on: January 07, 2014, 08:04:29 AM
If you look at Coingen.io , it will soon be completely impossible to actually list all new coins. Also, back when Cryptsy was really the only altcoin exchange, things were different. Now there are multiple altcoin exchanges with lower requirements for listing than Cryptsy -- CoinedUp has added a huge number of new coins recently and now there's also NEWCHG.com who has entered the altcoin arena, so there will be competition amongst the three to list things.

It's rather unfortunate, really. Once upon a time you had to have a pretty decent coin to get listed on an exchange. Now, you almost have to get listed since if one of your competitors lists you and you don't follow suit, you're going to miss out on business. So if CoinMarketCap.com lists everything that is on an exchange, I presume CoinMarketCap.com will be adding a lot of new coins in the near future.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [ANN] EliteCoin [XLC] IPO on: January 06, 2014, 03:31:15 PM
I don't think it would be responsible of me to take money at this time. I am going to see how Coingen plays out. Perhaps there will be more to come in the future. Perhaps not. Either way, no money was taken.

EliteCoin [XLC]

EliteCoin is a cryptographically secure and reliable method of payment. EliteCoin is unlike anything presently on the market. EliteCoin is a next generation cryptocurrency which aspires to compete with the likes of NXT and MasterCoin.

Why invest in EliteCoin?
EliteCoin offers an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of something new and exciting. It is becoming increasingly difficult to realize extraordinary returns in more established cryptocurrencies.

EliteCoin will be distributed to investors based upon the total BTC received and the amount of BTC that you sent. For example, if you contribute 1% of the final investment tally, you will be entitled to 1% of all EliteCoins. There is a fixed maximum limit of 100 BTC that may be invested in the EliteCoin IPO. This means that for every 1 BTC you invest, you will be entitled to at least 1% of all EliteCoins. If less than the maximum investment size is reached, your share of the total number of EliteCoins will be correspondingly larger. For example, if we raise 50 BTC through our IPO, your 1 BTC investment will entitle you to 2% of all EliteCoins.

Bitcoin Payment address: removed
You may send as little as 0.001 BTC. Please pm me after making an investment to confirm.
Blockchain: removed

Investment Deadline: February 28, 2014.
EliteCoin will be launched March 01, 2014.

More details shall be released in coming days.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coingen.com on: January 05, 2014, 01:21:03 PM
The altcoin market has really taken a beating the past couple days... No clue if it is related to Coingen.com or not but it is interesting that most of the more established coins (eg. BTC, LTC, PPC, NMC) have weathered the storm better than most. January should be an interesting month!
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: January 04, 2014, 01:57:37 PM
Won't it guarantee a big quark dump at the end of January?

Anybody have an update on when Quark will be added to BTC38??

Getting added to btc38 will bring a big price boost.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com - Market Cap Rankings of All Cryptocurrencies! on: January 04, 2014, 12:08:28 PM
Multiply the Total Supply amount by the price to get the market cap. If you click on the price of any coin of your choosing, you can see where the data comes from (e.g. cryptocoincharts.info is a source for many of the coin prices).

How are marketcaps and prices calculated? More info than "All prices based on BTC/USD exchange rate." would be nice.
