Hi, I am a miner for third day today. The last two days there werent any errors whatsoever, while the last night and whole day today I am getting crashes on the poclbm.exe. The fault module name is aticaldd.dll. Also I am running 6950 too, but mine is running on default. It seems there is some problem on the miner side, not ours.

Btw, I was just about to start a new thread.  Tongue

Hi

Hi, max-power. I recently started mining and bought HD6950 for the process, but I too get random freezings. When they occur the only thing I can do is reboot the whole system. My errors are labeled in the "Windows Error Reporthing" as "Fault bucket". What are yours?

I am using m0mchil's miner and my GPU's temperature is no more than 71-72C under 99-100% load.

Alright, even if I make half the money, it's still around 250 bucks for just keeping my computer ON, right?
6  Bitcoin / Mining / Mining profit on: June 02, 2011, 11:40:55 PM
I recently got interested in BitCoin mining. Now I am considering buying 2 graphic cards for my current rig and let it mine whole summer. The problem is that I constantly read here how mining becomes unprofiting in the future (eg. you make less than the electricity bills). However when I use this calculator, I see that if I buy two 6950s I will make 500-550$ a month. This means that I will pay off the cards in 1,5 month(s) (this is with the electricity bills included) and everything I make after that is going to be a pure profit. Is there something wrong with my calculations?
