When I kick off Claymore's dual mining for ETH & LBRY, it mines only ETH and says it's in -mode 1. Mines ETH just fine, but I'm wanting to dual mine.
I've did not modify any of the Claymore files when fired it up, as I am running everything unmodified straight from Claymore's download.
I've read the entire "Read me" text file. Reviewed the "config" file, where everything is disabled with the # in front of each command.
Thus, I did try to fix by removing the # from the mode command, to try and force it to dual mine in -mode 0. No luck. Here's the config file:
# WARNING! Remove "#" characters to enable lines, with "#" they are disabled and will be ignored by miner! Check README for details. # WARNING! Miner loads options from this file only if there are not any options in the command line!
#-epool us1.ethpool.org:3333 #-ewal 0xD69af2A796A737A103F12d2f0BCC563a13900E6F #-epsw x #-dpool stratum+tcp://yiimp.ccminer.org:4252 #-dwal DsUt9QagrYLvSkJHXCvhfiZHKafVtzd7Sq4 #-dpsw x #-esm 1 -mode 0 #-tt 70 #-asm 0
Removing the # for '-mode 0' is the ONLY change I've made to any of the Claymore files.
Even after I make this change, when i kick off the dual ETH + LBRY, it fires up and mines only ETH, as if I kicked off the .bat file to just run ETH. Before it downloads the DAG files, it confirms it's connected to nanopool, and also says it's in "-mode 1", which when running the dual ETH + LBRY it should be in "- mode 0", RIGHT?.
ANY IDEAS ON WHAT IS GOING ON HERE / HOW TO RESOLVE?
I really would like to dual mine, but am stuck here.
Confused because I downloaded the Claymore files directly and did not make any modifications to them, except to the 'config' file in an attempt to force it to run in '-mode 0' dual mining, but it's not working for me.
Any suggestions on what I need to do to resolve are GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks, Gillzilla.

Started my .bat file and it kicked off, and then got the EthDcrMiner64.exe has stopped working message.
Been searching online / youtubes / everything I can find, but nothing has worked yet.
Increased my memory, substantially, so don't think that's an issue.
Even saw where you can choose certain files not to be excluded by Windows, supposedly to avoid receiving that dreaded message.
Please, please if anyone can point me in the right direction and/or provide some guidance I would be sooooooo greatly appreciative.
Thanks,
Gillzilla.
P.S. - I have an 8 Nvidia 1060 GPU rig. Was working fine earlier until I had to do a clean update of Windows, download Claymore, do my settings again, everything. All 8 GPUs are recognized and want to mine, but gets halted right after it starts. Please any assistance is much appreciated.

Hi there. That’s for the pointer. I posted that when I first signed up.
I will move the post and see if someone can advise what in BIOS I need to adjust.
Many thanks.

Many thanks to all of these posts, which I know are a bit dated.
Got a MSI Z170A Gaming M7 and experienced the exact same issues.
Used 'themonkii''s recommended order of adding GPUs to each slot, after making sure I had all the settings configured correctly, and I was able to get all 7 GPUs recognized.
IS THERE A TRICK TO GETTING THE M.2, WITH PCI ATTACHMENT, TO WORK?
I'm running w/ 6 GPUs now because I have to use one of the slots for a WIFI connection (till I get a dedicated line installed upstairs where the rig is going).
But sure would like to be able to use 1 or 2 of the M.2 connections for another GPU.
The M.2 didn't recognize my PSUS WIFI when connected to it, nor did it work / recognize the Nvidia 1060 GPU.
Not sure if there is anything that needs to be configured to activate the M.2 connection, or if perhaps my adapter is crap and just not working.
My thanks to 'themonkii' and 'Benny T' and the others who posted the above, as without it there is NO WAY to get these working. These MSIs are not 'plug and play' to be used for mining, since it's painfully obvious you have to do Houdini tricks to make them work.
TO THIS POINT - Any motherboard recommendations where connecting the MB to the GPUs is very simple / plug & play, and avoid all of these gyrations to get these MSI Z170 (or similar) boards connected and up & running?
I got a ASUS B250 Mining Expert initially, but the MB did not recognize the GPU when connected via the riser. It worked just fine when the GPU was connected to the x16 slot directly to the MB. The support folks at ASUS have really let me down here, because after 3 weeks and a dozen calls / emails, NOT A SINGLE RECOMMENDATION HAS BEEN MADE TO TROUBLESHOOT / DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM (e.g. they asked if I had power to the board (duh), check the risers....when I told them 3 times the GPUs and risers checked out when connected to another MB).
Thanks again for all of ya'lls help w/ these postings.
Gillzilla.

My new ASUS B250 Mining Expert doesn't recognize the Nvidia GPU when connected via the riser (high quality riser), which I tried 2 just to make sure I didn't have a faulty riser. Connected a single Nvidia 1060 directly to the x16 PCI, downloaded the drivers, and it works fine. I'm actually up & running at lease, at an out of the box 15Mhs!! Will look to squeeze it to 20ish with MSI Afterburner once I resolved this matter. New to the forum, so my apologies if there's a thread for this specific issue. Seems as if this is a common problem, so hoping one of you can help me out & point me in the right direction. I will say that after firing up the single GPU, where I worked to get it mining and plugged into a pool, I HAVE NOT yet tried a GPU w/ a riser....not sure if the earlier problem of the GPU not being detected because the Nvidia driver(s) has not yet been loaded....which they are now (apologies if this is the culprit, but wanted to get it connected to a pool, which I had to work on for the past hour or so). Any thoughts / suggestions are greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Gillzilla. P.S. - This is my first rig, and I'm not all that knowledgeable about computer hardware / software.....so I'm a git out of my element, but excited I got this far!
