People have to understand, we are only a very tiny part of the whole universe. Our technology has only advance very little and our understanding of the world around us are very little. There are so many possibilities. Therefore, I believe other civilization exist somewhere. Smiley

Tried to use, but can't really get use to it. Any suggestions? Smiley

What are your most used apps? I struggled with it for a week and then finally got settled in. There is a stack overflow section for ubuntu so if you have any questions you can ask there.

Adobe softwares, LoL others I can get alternatives, the most important one is drivers...nvidia nvs won't work. Took me days before I figure out how and I forgot :p

If it is photoshop, gimp is a good alternative, and for nvida

Linus Torvalds: Nvidia, Fuck You! http://youtu.be/iYWzMvlj2RQ

Since I'm a graphic designer, photoshop is a must... Tongue
I like what he said, nvidia is stupid not to make drivers for linux. Wish there are more laptop with AMD gpu in it, mantle XD

You can use wine for photoshop.

isn't only photoshop cs3 or 4 is support?

Huh Wine is an application that runs windows application regardless of what version it is.

...then I'll give it a try later

I need to make room for my sister and there's no room left in the house to put these mining rigs because they make so much noise. I was wondering if it would be okay if I put them outside in one of these expensive pre-built sheds that kind of looks like a mini house. It has electricity and snow never gets inside it. I'm just worried it'll get too cold, I live in upstate ny. I was thinking of setting up the 2 bfl's and have a crappy laptop right in front of it so the laptop doesn't get cold. Would this work?

Allow me to fix your thinking for you.

Buy a sleeping bag and put the sister in the shed.

Nothing personal.  Just business!

Wink

and the sleeping bag will be included into the hardware cost?  Grin

17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Slush's pool switch on: December 08, 2013, 05:11:21 AM
With the long rounds, and poor payouts, I've decided that I'm switching to BTCGuild, and I was wondering, if I canceled my account, would I get the owed BTC? Currently, I'm owed 0.00947298 BTC. Would I have to keep mining until I get my threshold past my payout? Thanks.

Dude, set your threshold to .1 mine maybe a couple days. You are waiting for your btc pending to be over =>.001. Once this happens you can switch pools.

Once your btc is paid out and none pending then change your threshold back to .01 and it will payout.

Simplest way to get your hard earned btc.

What are you using to mine with?

They changed the minimum payout Shocked It was 0.1 before...
