Hello HEATer, The HEAT is on! The HEAT ICO is now well underway, with about 75 BTC, 4.9 Million NXT and over 200 Million FIMK pledged to HEAT tokens. Price levels for FIMK and NXT have increased, but levels for BTC and ETH are still at Stage 1. There are at least 3 alternative ways to participate in the HEAT ICO: The HEAT Web site http://heatledger.com/ico.htmAlcurex exchange https://alcurex.com/#HEAT-BTCOpenledger http://blog.openledger.info/2016/07/08/how-to-subscribe-to-ico-prelaunch-on-openledger/ If you have a chance, we suggest to reserve your stake as soon as possible. Although the ICO is scheduled to run for 4 weeks, prices do increase when more HEAT tokens are reserved and eventually the ICO may be finalized before due date in case it's fully reserved. Thanks for your interest in the HEAT ICO! Regards, The HEAT Ledger Team - Looking for the discount? Don't worry, during the ICO we'll send you a coupon code you can use to redeem the cashback directly to your HEAT wallet (or any cryptocurrency account, if you wish). I received my Coupon Code, but the facilities to redeem it is not yet available, 9 months after receiving the email above. Now that forging rewards have been enabled, would it not be unfair your EARLY supporters cannot use these extra HEAT due to us for our forging? Please advise when we redeem it. If it is too difficult to incorporate this feature, please issue cash back manually. Thanks.

Right now the hard fork is live and running on the company servers, to keep things fair i'll give a thirty minute heads up before we release the server code on github so everyone can start mining at the same time.
This is understandable and acceptable - not the previous method of inviting a previlege few to do private mining for hours. Looking forward to a stable release.

Then Supernet needs to get back on the same chain as the rest of us. It's easy enough to do with the heatbrowser download. What if he's invited to join the new fork?

Hey all, I'm the one running the current "forge report". I built it for myself to have a better understanding of the "ROI" for forging. If you have any requests/suggestions, let me know. I'll improve it in iterations as I have time. I'm a pretty small investor, but I've got technical abilities. Gladly accepting tips at 7052876572805488467 if you enjoy the report! Forge Report (incl estimates/month) : http://54.221.26.215/That's very nice ROI. Where is the pos & pop rewards coming from? Newly minted coins??

Byteballs definitely seems to contain some of the most prominent features of the HEAT offering, such as E2EE messenger and A2A trading. They even call BB the 3rd gen crypto, which HEAT kind of coined and followers are catching up. However many features and especially the HEAT core structural mechanisms - scalability based on replicating setup, blockchain slicing and POP reward scheme are gonna remain unique for a good while even if competitors deploy the higher level features nearly at the same time as we do. It'll sure be an interesting 2017 ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I'm trying to get Dennis in the mood for the short xmas tech update. I know what that is but lack the vocabularity for the technical formulation. It's of not much use to tell that we've completed most core transactions and scalability testing, and are now deploying Asset exchange procedures on the testnet. Blockchain explorer draft at https://alpha.heatledger.com/#/explorer displays some of these (only accessible after logging in) but just the headers so not much content to see there. During ICOs (every ICO, including HEAT) devs and the whole team will be all over forums responding to all and every question within 1 nanosecond. After ICOs they ALL disappear. If you get a lacklustre response like the above within 1 gigasecond, consider yourself lucky. Heater

Hi ChronoBankers, I'd like to share my PM to Chronobank_Community after they've resolved some hiccups with my ICO buy-in. All good. I want to thank you & your team very much for taking customer support so seriously and professionally. Hiccups are unavoidable. What's important is how you handle them. I have participated in many ICOs and other blockchain projects and have ran into similar or more serious issues. None, I repeat, NONE handled them as well as you did. You could not have handled it any better and this in itself instills a ton of confidence in this project. Way to go!! This was what happened: I paid with ETC, but TIME balance still shows zero after 3974 confirmations. Any problems?
Hello, I am passing this along to the team. Please PM me here if anything changes in the meantime, thank you. Chronobank_Community (CC) picked up my complaint soon after it was posted. This was followed up with numerous PMs where CC promptly kept me up to date after passing my info to the tech team. CC apologised for inconvenienced caused and repeatedly reassured me that it will be sorted out. At one point, when there was no development after a while, and I was just waiting (not putting pressure on them) CC PMed me saying “Hi again just letting you know we didn't forget you. It's going to get fixed, thank you for your patience.” Finally, I was informed that they had to do this manually and I received my TIME tokens plus 30% bonus (after that period had passed, as promised). Then I pointed out that when they did the allocation manually, it was based on current ETC/BTC conversion rate, which worked out to my disadvantage. CC reverted to their team and sorted that out to reflect the conversion rate at time of transaction instead. The difference involved was a small amount, and they did it nevertheless. What impressed me was the very professional way CC and the team handled this customer support - at a level I’ve not experienced even from established corporations, not to mention any and all other ICOs and crypto projects. Way to go! You’ve set the bar very high for others! PS. While waiting for them to settle my buy-in via ETC, I opened another account to buy in with BTC. Now I’m patting my back for that decision ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) . This team/project is a class of its own!

After successfully linking 1 BTC address with BB address using "Sign Message", I sent a new BB address to Transition Bot, hoping to link a second BTC address to the second BB address. I got as reply a message asking to transfer all my Bitcoins to the first BTC address. I then sent a new BTC address and the bot gave the same (first) BB address as text to be signed by the second BTC address. I did that, and got message listing Bitcoin balance for both BTC addresses.
I have 2 questions.
1. Would the total Bytes be distributed to the first BB address or will they be distributed separately to the 2 BB addresses 2. If I want to link a third BTC address using micropayment (from a different BTC wallet that does not have signing facilities), can I just send it to the receiving BTC address at the begining of the bot conversation?
1. You'll receive all bytes at the first BB address. It's perfectly legal to link several Bitcoin addresses to the same BB address. 2. To link by micropayment, you send the exact amount that the bot said to the address that the bot said. You don't have to tell him your Bitcoin address, it will be visible from the micropayment received. Thank you! This wallet & Transition bot is awesome ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) So, as I understand it, all 3 BTC linked adresses will get BB at the same address. My friend asked me to help do the linking (I have access to her BTC wallet) - so how can I do it on a separate BB address on the same machine?

What do you mean by "allow access to the private keys to official wallet"?
It is impossible to export private key in testnet..we can just import key..if wallet crash how can us restor it ?..privat key is an security allowing export fonds..so plan yu to allow this fonctionality in official wallet. Unlike Bitcoin, private key in Byteball is not enough to restore access to funds. Hence, to avoid giving false sense of security, I removed the export function. happy friday to all frds tonych can u explain what is the recovery easy system will be for final official wallet ..
need easy 1-2-3 steps to acces byteballs and send them ...Two options: 1. (crazy) back up the app's data folder (e.g. on windows C:\users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\Byteball test). You'll have to do that every time you send or receive blackbytes or any other private asset.2. (practical) set up a multisig wallet with redundancy on two or more devices. E.g. 1-of-2 on desktop+smartphone. If one of the devices fails, you still can spend the funds from the other device. I know this is not secure - but how about a real time back-up solution like owncloud/dropbox for this? Use https://mega.nz/ - end-to-end encryption with auto sync (set app's data folder) and free 50GB cloud storage ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

You are then to send a payment from your ICO address to the confirmation address to confirm your ownership of that address. Confirmation is near instant and will be visible in the claim section.
After exiting the Claims screen, there is no where in the wallet to view status of claim made. Can you please make an online page showing accounts of all successful & failed claims?

The 2nd and subsequent rounds are slightly different. You show both your BTC balances (as before) and your balance in bytes. You have a sort of basket that consists of a mixture of BTC and bytes. To determine the weight of the basket, every 62.5 MB are counted as 1 BTC. For example, if you have 125 MB and 3 BTC, the weight is 2+3=5 BTC. The distribution of new bytes on the 2nd and subsequent stages is proportional to the weight of your basket.
Does it mean that we have to lock the BTC balance in the linked address (for the first snapshot) for 3 months? Put another way - My BTC balance in linked address at first SS is 3 BTC. after first SS, I move 3 BTC out and then move 6 BTC into linked address just before second SS. will the basket be counted as 2+6 = 8BTC? What is the weight if I have zero BTC in that linked address at time of second SS?

Thank you. What is the "all hands" channel? It's a channel in Iota Ryver. How do i get in/register at Ryver?

Thanks. That's way below the target, so I guess there's no point to contribute... unless I'm prepared to put in 750 BTC ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) How much has been raised so far?.... thinking of investing. but also wondering if Maidsafe or applications built on top would make this irrelevant?
bout 50 BTC so far. I don't see how this type of applications built on blockchain model is able to scale long term. doesn't look like it will make the funding amount. total was 4 billion so whatever is left currently taken away from 4 billion shud give ya the number .
More than likely so it could do it and more, but it totally depends on purpose and wants, blockchain based time stamped records i think would be much better suited to blockchain tech, which maidsafe isnt
