1  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Agora Commodities - A Full Service Bitcoin to Precious Metal Dealer. on: December 06, 2013, 08:29:30 AM
I have been buying gold from other merchants before, and this is my first order from Agora Commodities. You seem to be quite active in this thread, so I am using it to inquire about my order.

Question: Do you have any news about the order #5573?

Thanks.
2  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Will BFL Jalapeno give me any profit? on: December 05, 2013, 07:33:41 PM
I would not count on getting any profit from that. Off course the value of bitcoin is always a large factor on ROI,
8 Ghs Jalapeno generates currently about 0.006 bitcoins a day, so with current bitcoin value it would take around half a year (if taking electricity cost in calculation) to break even.

Difficulty is in the rise, and terahash machines are coming from multiple vendors during the beginning of next year, so more time it takes, more harder it will be to gain anything.

I did watch the Youtube video. For me this seems to be typical  get-rich-quickly pyramid scheme. Those are good if you want to lose all of your friends and your credibility.  Wink

Do you have the licence/pertmit to use parts of Matrix movie in your advertising campaign.. Probably not.
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Butterflylabs ASIC overclock on: December 05, 2013, 06:32:50 PM

You are probably talking about the 25 GH/s Bitcoin Miner from BF.

I do not know that those have been overclocked. Best place to ask will probably be BF forum. There is quite a lot of discussion concerning modifications and overclocking (concerning Jalapenos at least). I personally have overcloked my Jalapeno from 5 to 8 gh. For that product there is good and easy to follow instructions available.

If you only formatted your hd and then reinstalled the operating system there is still possibility to get the wallet out (not necessarily overwritten yet). You could try with running Recuva from usb stick for example.

My vote to cgminer also. Takes a bit more work to start using than the GUI miners for example, but is steadily maintained and developed by an excellent coder (Con Kolivas).  Rock solid in best occasions (my best uptime with it was almost an year, had to boot for operating system updates).

The official thread for support and development of cgminer is here:

Good source for information concerning new versions and so on.
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Coinabul owes me 241.96 BTC on: December 05, 2013, 05:45:26 PM
I received a couple of orders from Coinabul about half a year ago, though it took about two months from the purchase to receive those. Have not ordered from there since that.

I did recently order from http://bitcoincommodities.com/  .That seller was fast (got the product about a week from order) and the prices where ok.

Ordered also from Agora Commodities around a week ago. Many seem to be telling that they are fast but I have not heard anything from them yet. Must ask soon from them if there is some kind of trouble with the order.
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Black Arrow on: December 05, 2013, 05:37:42 PM
Hard to say. Current situation is good feeding ground for pre-order scam. In the other hand some persons where suspecting KNC as a scam in the beginning. Black Arrow has very promising product in a paper, and February 2014 is quite close.  I have been considering buying from them but the lack of possibility for using PayPal or other solutions that will give buyer some level of protection if things go wrong have kept me suspicious.

Well it does make things difficult when you find something interesting with Google for example and would like to comment it here.
