Ok, one good discord channel will be enough.
Pretty please?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Ethereum Mining Discords? on: July 17, 2019, 12:14:55 PM
Please suggest me some good discords to join which deal with mining Ethereum (mainly, but ETC is also welcome).
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: gpu with two different psu on: June 18, 2018, 07:50:25 PM
Don't do that!
If you really need to do this (don't!) make sure you use the some power plug for both psus. The ground has to be common.

It is definitely GPU resistant. Also pool resistant for now. When some of those become available network hashrate will skyrocket.

No, it's not GPU resistant, it is exchange resistant and whitepaper resistant.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: longer usb cable for the risers on: May 20, 2018, 01:25:21 PM
Don't know what this Bitcoinsupermo guy is talking about. I haven't been able to find a bad Chinese usb 3.0 cable yet. When you use them for risers, the data runs through them, not power. So, it's a different issue then power cables.
Any decent usb 3.0 (not 2.0!) is going to work up to 60cm (I needed 1m once and had no problem either).
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: when a coin is being mined, can the hash power be used to run services? like on: May 10, 2018, 07:13:10 PM
The hash power is solving problems indeed. Solving those problems is what makes the ledger secure and distributed (decentralized). Those are very big benefits, so it's fair to say the hashing power really solves the problem of securing the ledger. Getting coins is a mechanism to reward those who take the trouble to build the machines to secure the network.

On the other side, internet chat and email programs don't require any computational power, so there is no they could benefit from it. Unless we move to some kind of distributed messaging, but that is quite different.

No offence, but you are asking quite a few basic questions about crypto. You should get some crypto101 material and read it completely.

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Zealot/Enemy (z-enemy) NVIDIA GPU miner. on: April 27, 2018, 11:11:17 AM
I have a Gigabyte Gaming 1070 Ti and a MSI 960. I am currently using the AORUS software to do the OC'ing with their preset "Overclock" function. I can and have used MSI Afterburner, but sadly I really don't know the first thing about what I should look for and how to establish stability with low risk.

I don't mind if the wattage goes up a little (electricity is pretty cheap), but I do want the hashrate to go up considerably. All I really want to know is what setting should I use that others may have had some success with.

The only other algo I really use is Neoscrypt (which is more memory intensive).

That Overclock button is probably for gaming.
I would suggest getting something like the free Nvidia Inspector.
First, put the Power Target to 70-75%. This way it's less probable anything will crash.
There are two parameters you can tweak:
Base Offset (core clock) and Memory Offset.
You can leave Memory offset at 0, or even put it in negative as it doesn't affect this particular algo almost at all.
Increase the core clock slowly. You should reach a point where additional increasing doesn't increase the hashing power.
If you get to a point where the miner crashes, you obviously ran over all limits.

Enemy has released the new version of his Ravencoin miner. It's faster then the first version (up to 25%!!), even with his now included devfee, and it's still closed source.

Windows version of Enemy 1.04 can be found in the software section of this discord:

Kingston - KGX

Početak - 18.3.2018, 00:00 GMT!

+ Uvod u projekt:

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] lolMiner-mnx, Mining MinexCoin(MNX) New version: v0.31 (Mar 15) on: March 15, 2018, 12:36:38 PM
...

Haven't reported to you for some time.
Ever since the second available version it crashes much less. I turned off Windows Error Reporting and put running it in queue so it works non stop right now. I had a problem only once with the program trying to connect to the pool - I see v0.31 will fix this.

Surprisingly, this v0.31 did wonder on my rx480 rig! Using the same .bat files and new version gives like 8700sol and more where previous version did only 6100sol!!! You must have gotten the right parameters for rx480 now.

So far, I'm running lolMIner on 8 rigs now. On 2 of them I have this issue with hashrate going down when you are not connected through TeamViewer or AnyDesk. Also, if you just keep the main youtube.com page open - the hashrate doesn't go down. You don't need to run a YT video, the preview is enough. Very weird. How could that happen? If you can't reproduce the issue, let me know and we'll see if we can give you access to a machine where this happens. On one of the rigs where this happens, it happens only if you run two particular cards in the same .exe. If you run separate .bats nothing slows down. The moment you run those two particular ones in the some .bat (doesn't matter if you run only these 2 or another 1,2,3,4,5,6,7) the hashrates go down.
