just another suggestion guys...under your advanced settings in miner config....set your freq to 600...the system seems to default to that....I had the issue also and I manually set the freq and fan speed to 75%.

Save and reboot.

Ok kids,

You all look like awesome boffs.

But looking at the kernel log of john smith back there he look like he is having the same issue i was.

Pop out your control board. Yep disconnect all your cables.

Flip the cboard over and look at all the solder connections.

I found horrible white powder. Yep the low silver content causes the connections to 'decay'.

I fixed it by getting a new toothnrush and give the ol girl a good scrub to clean any of the offensive unwanted powder out.

Whack her back in and see how she winds up.

Ask me my sia coin addy for a generous doni if it works.

Sorry buddy.

Been doing heaps of research. Let me know your address. I can send you a backup of my firware and what might be a older version of tge butmain firmware.  It might just work.

I am not sure other than that. Its the cgminer part that controls the fans.  Its a startup protocol.

The unit wint mine without positive signal back from fans.

Do the fans start at all??

If you can access you interface try dropping your fan speed to 75%. I had some issues and i did tgat and it worked a treat.

Cmon devs.

Gotta ve some projects on the boil.

Cant you just choke the traffic to slow asics down without bricking th em alltogether?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [FIX] Antminer A3 issue on: March 17, 2018, 10:35:38 AM
Wow thats new. Have you just tried starting the miner with no hash boards connected?

This will determine if it is your board.

Could also try just just connecting your power to your control board about i munite after you turn on your psu. This gives time for your psu to build up enough power.

Also make sure the conectors for your fans are seared really well.

Truth in that.

What needs to happen is a call to BAN to these manufacturers test phhasing their machines on live systems.  If they have the devs to design and build the units tgen they xan replicate the ccode to create a test system.

BAN BAN BAN THE BIG BOYS TEST PHASING ON LIVE SYSTEMS.

 Cheesy

So not just a few days after bitmain announces its latest house brick, hanglong is doing the same thing.

Albeit less powerful but just as hungry. Standard hanlong mining gear.

But good to see a machine well priced for what it is or what it will be......a brick.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: March 17, 2018, 12:26:54 AM
Dont f'n help with what looks like either bitmain didnt sell any and the network hash for antpool jumped to 1p/h overnight.

Difficulty jumped 2mil in 24hours.

Call to BAN miner producers from running "test phase" on live systems.  All they do is fuck their clients over.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain Antminer X3 ASIC hashing 220KH CryptoNight on 550w!! on: March 16, 2018, 09:15:32 AM
Holy flop!!

Well botmain is apprently sold out of the batches. Yeah right either people are stupid or bitmain just realised they made a bad investment.

I bought my first miner...yep the a3. And i think i made a mistake.

I wont make it again.

Lets wait and see if they 'reopen' the sales again

Haha....

Bitmain at it again. Drop the dime on the floor and vefore it hits they announce a new miner.

12k WTF!!!!!!

Its going to do what d3,l3,a3 did.  Oh am I sounding like a scratched record?

Run run as fast as you can....cos this machine is gonna make you a poor man. Lol.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: A-3 miner gets power but control board is "hung wont mine or IP addy on: March 06, 2018, 10:21:11 PM
Ok so lets see.

What have you tried so far as to trouble shooting?

 Huh

Well also might be good to check your network setup.  Diasable your network adapter or reset it.  I had issues with mine when I relocated my machine.

For some reason it finds a new IP for the unit. Mine decided to add a number from XXX.XXX.X.105 to XXX.XXX.X.106.

We will work this out buddy. I tore hair out for 6 hours.

Hi guys,

You know what, I had a similar problem and I tried it all.

Reset button, power down for an hour, individual testing if hash boards. Did it all. When I contacted bitmain they just quoted the user manual. What a croc of shite!

Anyhow to cut this short I found my problem.

Disconnect all your power and hash cables.

Pull out your control board.

Flip it over and I found serious solder oxidisation.

My miner is in a controlled environment so no moisture or anything.

The oxidisation creates artificial paths between points which causes the machine to go WTF!!

To fix get a NEW very dry toothbrush and brush out any oxidisation.  Chuck your board back in and boot her up.

Mine ran like a dream.

Hope this helps guys.

Ill take a small BC OR BCC doni if your machine starts up.
