1  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - sell & buy hash rate cloud mining service / multipool on: April 20, 2015, 10:03:10 PM
OMG What has happened to the SHA256 rental price?  The price is ridiculous!  Has something happened to BTC?  Or maybe a new coin?

LOL, I came here just to ask the same question!!  And btw, does nicehash/westhash have an IRC chan?
2  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.319/GH & 0.51W/GH on: March 19, 2015, 07:55:27 PM
Yeah I ordered last week too, at the higher price.  They did however, send me a coupon (for S5, spend before 3.25.15 , lol).  I'm not complaining, better to have a coupon than no coupon, but I kinda wish they had let us know what the deal was with coupons this time around (batch).

7  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: July 12, 2014, 07:27:23 AM
Any word on these S3 "Upgrade kits"Huh  Is this actually going to happen, or just an idea??  I would be very interested in upgrading my S1's.

I`m pretty sure they will happen, but I reckon it will be a month or so until they look into it as the S3`s are selling like crazy.

All fine by me, more time to eek out profits from the S1's  Wink

Sushi Reloaded....

will make S3 setup guide...

also, trying to make Rocket Miner from RockMiner.com setup guide as well.

so far, Rocket Miner the X shape one is hashing at 490-500GH

Sounds awesome, cannot wait for the S3!  Also looking forward to your guide, very detailed and a lifesaver for setting up my S1's. Smiley
10  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Celebration of evolution of Bitcoin asic chips frame. on: July 05, 2014, 11:24:03 AM
Do you mean you are making a picturing frame for each individual chip, then just displaying it with the info?  Or is it a re-purposing of the chips to function as a frame??

Putting each individual chips together into one big frame then displaying the chip information in beside the chip.

Oh nice, seems like a cool project. Good luck in your chip hunt!

IT would help if bitmain did not write BITCOIN MINER as custom description....

Thats true, but I wouldnt want to be on the other side of that, "falsifying information on an import into the country".   Undecided
13  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: July 05, 2014, 08:58:51 AM
Bitmain said the upgrade kit for S1's would be available n a few months, by that time I fear they will be of little use

For certain people, myself included, this would actually work out perfectly.  I am paying low electricity cost so I plan on running my S1s until at least October. Would be a waste to get rid of the S1 blades before their usage time is up.  So yeah, lettin them hash out a little more profit for a couple months, then upgrading boards, sounds like a leet strat to me.  Also, Im not just waiting for the board upgrades, pickin up 2 S3s on batch 3.
14  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: June 23, 2014, 04:50:06 AM
Bitmain are you going to reward your loyal customers with some good coupons without expiration dates for the S3, and S3 updates from S1 ?
The way I read it was an updated heat sink  for the S3 which could be fitted to the S1. Is it something more than that?

All batch one buyers will receive a free puppy.
15  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I no longer work for Butterfly Labs (BFL) on: June 22, 2014, 11:46:01 PM
I bet they have been selling to colo companies the whole time. Including for their 65NM chip products.

Pre-orders to raise cash. Build equipment. Sell large quantities of in-hand equipment to bulk purchase farms (because they wont drop 3M on a preorder. They need immediate delivery.). Try to catch up with the original consumer orders after the farms aren't interested anymore.

Thus defrauding the consumers.

It seems pretty obvious now.

Classic bait and switch.  Elon Musk did the same thing with the Tesla car pre-orders, but at least he readily admitted that he did.

Maybe they are mining on them for a week, then pass the savings onto us??  Smiley

Ive been F5-ing for 3 days straight.  Not really, but thats what it feels like!

I don't know what browser you use, but this is for chrome, I'm sure others browsers have similar plugins.  Just tell it to monitor a page and it will alert you when it changes, no F5 required Smiley

I think you guys are missing the "Not really" part.

Maybe I should have written, "Im so excited for the S3, Ive been F5-ing for 3 days straight.......Not really."
