x11mod Not Working: IS WORKING 3x MSI R9-270x Windows 7 64bit
I've tried the following: Catalyst 13.2, with copied 14.6 files, Catalyst 14.4 with copied 14.6 files, Catalyst 14.6
It crashes or gives nothing but hardware errors. When it runs with HW errors, the hashrate is significantly higher, but all HW errors. I've tried with and without config files, and completely removed and reinstalled the drivers 6 times. I also remember to remove the *.bin files each time.
Cards work fine at standard hashrates with 13.2 only or 14.4 only. It's strange because this works on a different machine with 13.2 and copied 14.6 files on HD 6870 windows 7 64bit. Please someone advise me what to do.
**EDIT** Well I was using the wrong x11mod.cl. I got them mixed up and was using the one dated 6/3 instead of 6/16. HW errors are gone and speed is increased to 2.5Mh/s on msi 270x up from ~2Mh/s.

I believe you're correct about the ASIC "scam".
1. If a product exists, people will buy it, even for a small gain. 2. The above forces everyone to buy it because of difficulty. 3. Repeat at NO. 1 and most spend more than they earn due to delays.
The only solution seems to be a coin that does change algorithm on a monthly basis. I don't think bitcoin will implement this, so mining BTC you agree to play the 3 step game above.

So I'm guessing we're not getting litecoin integration?

Don't forget, it could be your house wiring overheating inside the walls if you are overloading the wire size. Sometimes breakers are too large for the small house wiring if it's a DIY wiring. This can cause wires to oveheat and burn wall insulation before the breaker ever trips. Just a heads up.

Easy way: Power all the risers directly from PSU 1 which is powering motherboard - Card aux power can come from other PSUs.
So this should be true I think. I ended up using one of the USB risers which lets you totally separate the GPU power supply as the only link to the motherboard is data. Plug it and worked first time.
Only down side is there twice the price, But it I had got this from day 1, I would have gained 4 days mining, sound would have paid for itself.
Hope this helps
That is what I would rather do I think. Can you tell me where to get powered USB risers that have only the data lines going to the motherboard? Any other tips are appreciated.

Can someone tell me what I need to know before using 2 PSUs on one motherboard. I've seen warnings about backfeeding power but can't find a lot of information about the correct way to do this.

2,5 Mh -> 24h of mining -> 0.016 on my balance -> cashout -> still 0 on my btc wallet. Not recommend, middlecoin much better.
I was going to post this here, but it was a bit lengthy and may get lost/ignored/shouted down. Whatever. I blog as a hobby, sort of like aTriz and nearmiss run Hashco.ws, so I wrote up my analysis of the recent performance. Bottom line: I'm not saying nearmiss/aTriz are doing anything shady, but either their coin selection algorithm is somehow busted or there's something else causing Hashco.ws to consistently choose under-performing coins. The pool is jumping around alt-coins like a jack rabbit on speed, and virtually none of the selected coins seem to be delivering the expected returns. That's not even mentioning the 42 Coin rounds that keep popping up (and keep failing to outperform LTC). Ugh. The goal is (or should be IMO) profits that are better than mining LTC, and looking at Coinwarz/Coinchoose there seem to be many options that are hitting that mark. Or perhaps stated better: the goal is to mine the most profitable alt-coin, so something other than LTC or BTC, but again there are many candidates that have been consistently above LTC during the past month. So if that's true, why are the coins selected by Hashco.ws somehow getting us less than half the profits of mining LTC? Is Coinwarz lying about profitability and Hashco.ws is getting mislead, is Hashco.ws just getting (really!) unlucky, or is something wrong with the coin selection algorithm? Or maybe something else. I'd love to see the problem fixed, because I'm lazy and all I want is better returns on my investment. Hashco.ws used to provide that pretty consistently; since the hack and rebuild, I'm not sure I've ever seen us match let alone clearly outperform LTC. That's bizarre...and Middlecoin hasn't been any better that I can see, which is equally bizarre. Yeah, something is truly bizzare, off, wrong, missing, all of the above. I've switched until the site can show me where my money is, i.e. a paper trail, i.e. per round shares, number of each type of un-traded autotrade coins, balances for traded coins, and how many of my coins were traded for what amount. Basically, I want a receipt. But I don't think this site will be doing anything like that, and it seems the site runs on trust alone. Not good. Admins, the coin balance page at https://hashco.ws/balances/ has a problem when firefox is zoomed. The problem is that a div element covers the "Proceed to Cashout" button making it unclickable. It can be fixed like this: LINE 137 <div class="col-lg-8 container" style="padding-left:0px; width:700px; float:left;">

We need basic functionality asap guys... it's been over 2 weeks now. You guys have responded well, but the progress has been slow.
I wouldn't worry about the guy above. He seems to have problems understanding communication. And I agree, even a major problem shouldn't take 2 weeks to fix. It seems the site needs more devs.

Asics are killing these coins. I believe that soon only majorly funded operations will be able to compete. I feel we're in dire need of a solution.
We don't need a solution. The only solution is go convince the most people to mine themselves. Solutions are centralized. This is the free market and we're doing fine. Yeah we all thought asics were a great idea for BTC too. Now people are seeing difficulty skyrocket and even their asics are no match. Several million dollar budget operations will affect the difficulty so much that non million dollar budget LTC asic owners will have a hard time making roi. It's a little more than speculation when we've seen it happen to BTC.

Crazy question:
Owners, when you trade my coins on the exchanges, lets say 1 BTC worth of SBC, how do I know that you aren't pocketing half? Trust?
I realize we opt in for auto trade, but a paper trail seems necessary.
You could pay me half of what my shares were worth, and just say the prices dipped when you decided to trade.
So, go to the options page and tell 'em not to trade your mined coins for BTC. (That option isn't available right now because of the reworking of the entire site.) There is nothing requiring you to have them sell all your coins. you can have the directly deposited to your wallet. Yes, I know I could configure no auto trade. I'm saying that for auto trade to be trustworthy on this or any site, there should be a paper trail. Don't take it the wrong way, I'm making a point.

We'll be posting a simple tool for people to use, allowing you to login with your credentials, at which point it will send out an email verification link, including your current balance and payment address the site has for you. Thanks for the honorable resolution! Has the tool for balance information been posted already?
