1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How To Build Crypto Mining Rig W/ Less Than $2000 - Beginner Tutorial - ETH XMR on: March 08, 2018, 10:39:33 AM
I don't think 1080TIs need risers, never heard of anyone having a sufficient need for these with their 1080ti rig. Some people just put them in there as a precaution or out of habit.

What on earth are you talking about?  Huh
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Riser extension cables USB 3.0 on: March 07, 2018, 04:53:51 PM
What does "better management of your rig" imply? Do you need to place your GPUs 6 ft away from your motherboard?  Shocked Shocked

You could get hold of at least one thick usb 3.0 cable of the minimal length you need for your management and see if it works, as a trial. One single cable male to male cable, no extenders. There's no reason why it wouldn't work. Once you determine what works for you you can buy more...

Hey there, good to see you here. I watch a lot of your videos!

Do you prefer any particular type of risers yourself and would you recommend them? Like 6-pin PCI-E, Molex, 103C, 006C, etc... I'd like to build a rig with 1080 Tis Smiley

Thx and say hi to Tails from me!  Grin

LOL @ the tweets right after Charlie's one on Nano, scammers impersonating him getting people duped into sending ETH. wtf? How is this even possible. Uncanny how can there be so many scams on twitter...

Not to mention amount of stress related to all of this!
Although all crypto is like that, if you ask me. Especially younger projects.

True that.

Anyway I had trouble with installing the new wallet but I followed the steps provided by the folks @ Discord and it went flawless. Basically all I had to do was clean the roaming\lux folder, download the blockchain zip file provided on Discord, run Lux and it sync'ed in less than one minute.

Man, this thread is friggin' scary. Makes me wonder what have I gotten myself into.

Messed up software, messed up exchange, unhappy stakers / miners...

I hope these are really just "growing pains"

Can you ask all this questions via discord, much easier to give qualify help there.https://discord.gg/X43CA3f

Well, I don't even know what Discord is tbh so I'll start reading up and learning.  Grin

@ lupanar and @ StoneSoup:

THX very much!  Cheesy

Basically I have an old computer I don't use anymore and I was too lazy to sell sitting around idle (i5 760 2.8ghz quadcore on a Asus P7P55D motherboard + 8GB ddr-3). I saw a local listing for a GTX 1050 pretty affordable, so I thought it would be nice to get into mining, just as a learning and fun experience. Don't really have expectations to get a lot of profit, just enough to pay for the card in a couple months and it seems LUX might be a bit more profitable than ETH or ZEC or XMR at the time being. My interest in LUX comes from the fact Doug Polk Crypto shilled for it a few weeks ago.

Also, if the coin has some future I could get rewarded in the future by hodling it. But right now having read the last couple posts and realizing there's so much fighting between the community and the team I'm afraid of getting involved.  Sad Huh

Do you think the hash rate would be impaired by the CPU and motherboard chipset being so old or does the GPU still perform to its full potential even on such an old platform?

Is this proposal to join a masternode by buying 161.2 LUX and get massive returns legit??  Huh I'm a total n00b to the crypto world so i'm like "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." Embarrassed
I hope my question doesn't come accross as offensive but I'm coming from a place of baby crypto enthusiast and so I'm trying to be super prudent in this mad world of crypto. 161.2 coins would be a huge investment for me.  Embarrassed

Hi everybody  Smiley

Would anyone have a vague idea on how much LUX / month i could get mining with a single GTX 1050 2GB card, or a 1050 Ti 4GB one ? And their hash rates?

Thx!!  Wink Wink

I'm seriously considering joining it now, need to setup myetherwallet.

But I'm confused again  Huh Huh. So will stake holders (1000 or 3000) have the service free of charge always or only while the application is in beta?

I hope the app will have a desktop version available no later than the mobile one, and integrated on GDAX and Kraken.

On what exchanges will the TAY token be available?

Bittrex isn't accepting new users.
And I won't go on Poloniex.
Which leaves Binance only...  Embarrassed Embarrassed

OK so I think I can now answer this, having skipped through the whitepaper: Grin

"The Premium plan will include all Basic plan features plus additional features such as notification priority, higher
trading limits, additional trading stops options, etc. The Premium plan will have a discount of 25% over the Basic
plan price."

Hey, Fabio, did I understand correctly that holders of at least 1000 TAY won't have to pay monthly subscription for the basic service, and at least 3000 TAY to the premium one?

Will Taylor be compatible with GDAX and Kraken?

Hi, thx for getting back to me so fast and for your kind answers!  Cheesy

So are you saying that after your token sale (that's about to happen soon) nobody will ever be able to buy TAY anymore?  Huh

Also, when will the app be available? Will using Taylor without participating in your ICO also require KYC?

And lastly, what will the monthly fee be, in fiat (or ETH)? Hard to evaluate the benefit of having TAY to pay for it if I have no idea of its value compared to fiat (or ETH). I'm guessing my main interest in TAY would be to pay for Taylor with a discount, not to hodl or trade it as being a baby crypto enthusiast I won't enter any ICOs whatsoever.

Sorry again for the dumb questions.  Undecided Grin

Hi there!

I just created my account here, well, for one thing because I'm new to crypto-currency and really want to educate myself, for second because I stumbled upon your short youtube video "Quick trade, 1% profit in 2 minutes!" when I was reading up on trading strategies and scalping, which eventually brought me here.

So I've been looking at your different web pages, blogs and stuff. I like that you seem quite transparent about what you're doing (but this is only a subjective impression since I'm a total n00b so my judgment is pretty much uneducated), you're keen on giving loads of information on your development team, implementing KYC is probably a sign that you're serious about what you're doing. Heck, even reading you here using the expression "gender non-binary" makes me like you.

But then I get to the point when I keep reading that your project is aimed at dumbing things down to people like me and providing us a tool that can help us with trading, but then it all becomes super complicated with this whole token thing and ICOs (most are scams) and I still haven't figured out what the heck is all this and how do I get in, and what will it cost me... and what exactly will it allow me to do and how reliable it is.

So between all the different platforms you use to communicate, the blogs, the twitters, telegram (which i have no clue how to use yet) I find all of this really confusing and very pretty, but very obscure. Ya get me?  Huh Huh

Or, maybe, I'm just being super clueless and thick and I just didn't look in the right places. Be it as it may, your project is aimed at thick and dumb people like me... so there's that.

So would it be possible to ELI5 how to get in SmartTaylor and what to expect from it and what the cost is? THANK YOU!!!  Smiley Smiley
