Sorry not want to ruins everyone party, but this algo X11 is ASIC territory, therefore, when everyone jump in the difficulty will sky rocketed and your profit pie that you're talking about is smoked out  This is true, but it can compensate for the growth of the exchange rate of the coin. Hi mate, this is such a hard question to answer, I dont think anyone can due to the price fluctuations and the release of new ASICs, GPU's. All you will get is guesses from people. If it were me now... without my mining operation I would spend the money on crypto ETH XRP BTC EOS ZENCASH TRX and anything else you can research and understand. ASIC - TOO LOUD TOO HOT GPU - EXPENSIVE and HARD TO MAINTAIN ( OS crashes, PCIE connectors failing , power supplies getting dusty, cards failing) Hope that helps |

Hi mate, yeah this's really hard time for us. I'm looking for some asic-resistance coins to mine. But it's not that easy. For me, I'm going to resell my Rx580 and keep P106-100 and P104-100 to mine since P106/P104 dont have graphic output so it's almost impossible to resale them. I think thats for the best... its such a horrible time for crypto in general.. Im selling 30 X 1070 GTX now... Good luck to you brother. |

there's no downside to buying crypto? eh, you could buy crypto and then it could crash, like it has done recently. At least with mining you can switch and your GPUs still hold some value.

and when having a mining rig it's those all an assurance and anytime you want to sell them you can do it whether mining situations it's current profitable or not, that all different when your invest in crypto, yes, you become boss when a coin going to the moon but also your money become smoke when a coin it's a scam or price of coin drowning.
This is true but the upfront cost is a lot, and you will prob loose around 50% of the cost of the GPU once you are ready to sell them ( not profitable anymore ) |

God there are way too many stupid GPU miner fanboys on the forums. They don't realize asics are going to take over no matter what even if there are forks because you can't stop progress and technology. GPU mining will be near dead by the end of the year and only shitcoins will be what GPU's can mine. The bad thing is that anyone that makes Asics wont sell their money printing machines until they squeeze every last penny out of them. Obelisk is doing things the right way with their launchpad and I can't wait until they finally get the ball rolling for asics on every POW coin.

If I got 10$ for every time GPU mining was declared dead I would be rich only based on that.
The field is ever changing, but GPU mining is going nowhere. For at least 2-3 years its going to be present and profitable for sure. Everything else being told id pure FUD.
