2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bancor | Protocol for Smart-tokens, solving the liquidity problem on: June 09, 2017, 09:36:40 PM
Hey guys, first post here Smiley

I'm trying to figure out what the roi and break even point is for early investors/contributors.

Is the following correct?
Ico lasting time = Minimum: 1 hour, Maximum: $250m / 14 days.
50% token release for early investors/contributors, 20% free as promotion and partnerships rewards, 10% for team, 20% team reserve (company).
Max $250m. 1 Eth ~= $250 (let's assume and work with this value as of this example). 1 Eth => 100 Bancor (BNT) tokens. Thus:
1 BNT = $250/100 Eth = $2,50
$250m/Eth($250) = 100m Eth => 100m Eth * 100 BNT = 10b BNT.
Circulating supply = 50% * 10b BNT = 5b
Total supply = 10b
Break-even profit point per BNT = > ($5 + total preceding costs).

If the break-even profit point is say $5,50, is it even worth to invest in this ico? I mean, 10 billion tokens is way too much for the given price of 1 BNT for 0,01 ETH.
That's only 50% of the total supply, thus for 5b BNT. I don't think huge gains can be made when hit on the exchanges due to two forementioned points, while still carrying a high risk.

Please enlighten me further, thank you.

Looks like your math is off.
Correction in red:
Max $250m. 1 Eth ~= $250 (let's assume and work with this value as of this example). 1 Eth => 100 Bancor (BNT) tokens. Thus:
1 BNT = $250/100 Eth = $2,50
$250m/Eth($250) = 1m Eth => 1m Eth * 100 BNT = 100m BNT.
Total supply = 200b BNT

Of course this is all an assumption of $250m token sale cap.

yeah this actually makes sense, and $250 million is a fairly good entry point for an ICO. Itll put it around #25 total market cap

finally we are seeing some notice in the value of this coin
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Most Undervalued Coin of 2017! on: April 08, 2017, 02:16:41 PM
Going to be a tie between NXT/ARDR and Bitbay
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Next 100x on: April 06, 2017, 08:38:42 PM
Why searching for 100x. Is 5x or 10x not enough?

If you want to find the "golden egg" try to watch low marketcap coins with active development.

NXT, ARDR, Bitbay, Ark, NEM are my top 5

Sounds like you are a decent guy and have chosen the high road and done the right thing. I applaud you. Maybe you should rebrand or something. I'm just stating what a lot of people that know of Bitbay or research bitbay are going to see all the negative things that it started with. A rebrand might really be a good idea. Get away from the stigma. New beginnings. good luck.

We have thought about it and call me masochistic but I think success is the best revenge and succeeding after these guys tried to trash my name and investors is twice as sweet. I'm going to finish decentralized pegging and then assess the situation again. If the investors want a rebrand at that point then we can do so. For now, the price is above the ICO price and that was a huge challenge and success. Even with Bob and BTER dumping we rose above it. With tech alone. And after pegging I'm not sure how they will stop us.

you're Elon Musk of crypto dad
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Coins to invest in for future use rather than pump and dump on: April 03, 2017, 09:09:36 PM
Id like to start a discussion on coins/techs that have future world use. The coins you see having use in the future rather than just a quick money making pump and dump.

Im currently looking at

ARDR (first to fix blockchain bloat issue)
BitBay (cheap and i see it becoming a staple platform in future crypto)
Golem (supercomputer/ one of a kind)

Your thoughts?

Bitbay is going to be buried down the rabbit hole. there are tons of marketplace, it won't stand a chance unless they have something more interesting than any other else. Bitbay I think has been up for years but it still hasn't established anything still. Whats up with their developer?

People seem to either hate Bitbay or love it. Im going to have to hold on to my investment and see how far it will go because I believe if the project gets itself together it will offer wonderful ROI
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Why is BitBay price so low? on: April 02, 2017, 12:08:02 PM
I've been researching coins deeply and this coin offers so darn much! Why is it falling on the top 100 list? Why isn't it on the top 10? Can someone explain this to me?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: March 31, 2017, 10:46:07 PM
If you consider ethereum and litecoin as altcoins than they are worth buying, they have longterm potential. Never checked ripple before but it looks big so that might be too. If you want more risky ones, nxt and radium looks promising but like I said they are a lot riskier.

NXT and ARDR seem like a very good buy. Great dev and one of the best UI's and wallets ive seen along with a great system.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's the next %1000'er? on: March 30, 2017, 09:59:31 PM
Im going to go with NXT and Ardor and IGNIS
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Altcoin are you currently supporting, and Why? on: March 28, 2017, 09:49:32 PM
NXt and waves

both are good platform  Smiley

NXT ? you mean ardor, annother scam project, i am sad to tell you this but NXT/ARD are schemes made to draw money out of your investments, just have a look at the poor quality of the code.

Waves seems to be a good choice, but their team needs more experience.

Even if both coins are related (supposing, but i am a 90% sure), you should consider watching other projects, these java projects don't really have a futur, unless waves brings a cross platform code.

please give evidence on your logic behind calling it a scam. Looks like a very developed and promising project? Im curious
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Anti-pumper strategy on: March 28, 2017, 11:20:05 AM
People will buy where the money is made. Things like this will always happen throughout the altcoin market right now. Id look at this as a primal-esque problem until altcoins become more stable and the best apples are the only ones left hanging on in the market. Survival of the fittest. Let people take their profit because the market will correct itself in the long run Smiley
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Altcoin are you currently supporting, and Why? on: March 27, 2017, 06:33:52 PM
Im supporting Ardor and its platform ( NXT, IGNIS ) and also Bitbay. I believe these two have HUGE potential in the near future as something worth alot more than a typical pump and dump
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Coins to invest in for future use rather than pump and dump on: March 27, 2017, 01:41:12 AM
How about Waves, Lisk, Iconomi, Ripple, Steem, NEM, Golem, Ardor

Dont these assets bring good technological advancements that should/could be staples in the crypto world in our future?
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I got $100 to blow, what coins should I get on: March 26, 2017, 11:23:47 PM
