Trying p2pool for the first time, and it looks a bit different than im use to. Does the following look normal or do I have something mis-configured?   PS, the accepted shares shown at the top are from another pool before I switched to p2pool.vtcpool.co.uk. I haven't seen any accepted shares from the p2pool yet. The diff given from vardiff is too low make HW error high. use static dif by add +0.000xxxx (i am using 0.00047 for my 280x) after your VTC address. eg "-u YourVtcAddress+0.000475" |

The other alternative is get another two or three pools to the same size as the top two. Alongside P2pool, this would effectively stop this from being an issue. SECURE THE NETWORK ... Remember fees are lower on p2pool generally, payouts are higher and you're helping the network - http://scanner.etyd.org/ will show you all the p2pool nodes that can be detected and selecting one close to you geographically is best (also setting one or two others as failover in your miner config) - the advantages of p2pool are manyfold, including that the pool operator cannot lose or steal your coins either through malice, incompetence or getting hacked, because they never hold the coins (they are paid directly to the miner), also, if the p2pool node you are on fails, you still get paid your shares because they are distributed on the sharechain, and not stored on any one node to be lost due to a failure. ... Actually i really like mining on p2pool, but with current sharerate is too high, is almost impossible to get share for little miner. I'm sorry if this already asked, but is it possible to divide p2p network into two ? i mean, make another with less share spread but with lower sharerate so little miner can join p2pool too ? like the old p2p network if i remember correctly. i don't mind getting pay less frequent but with high possibility to get share. Last time i try p2pool, only get 1 share /12h with my 280x ... *i don't really understand how p2pool work, but it is possible to do this ? |

is this coin forked or what ? several pool have different block height and diff ? which pool in the right fork?

I am getting ~114MH/s on my single 280X.
I played around with overclocking memory and engine in Afterburner but ended up crashing my system, so I decided to just leave good enough alone for now.
I also haven't been able to use the pool with GPU mining (can connect but no work available) so just going solo for now until there are more pools available.

Trying to solo mine, edited my config right (or so I think), using 127.0.0.1 as an ip, changed the user password and added it to the bat file. Even synced it with my wallet, but nada.
Any ideas guys?
I had to add the rpcallowip=IP line to the conf file. Test with localhost, 127.0.0.1 or (in my case since I'm behind a router) 192.168.0.100. Tried all three, and nothing. I'm thinking I might have the wrong port in my conf file? This is my conf. listen=1 server=1 daemon=1 rpcuser=u rpcpassword=p rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 port=9089 rpcport=9089 addnode=192.200.115.101 my bat file is timeout /t 10 setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 sgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://127.0.0.1:9089 -u u -p p I've tried localhost and 192.168.0.100 in lieu of 127.0.0.1.... I can't get the wallet to sync past 1481 - anyone else?
with node 54.203.244.27 I get an invalid checkpoint error, without it I get stuck/limbo at 1481
delete or move fluttercoin.conf, thats what i do and it get synced ... then relaunch with conf and start mining ... can I have the list of nodes you're using please and which block you're on (in the debug window) hmmm, after you've mentioned it ... i notice that block height in my wallet is jumping alot from 1880 to 1915 ... and now i am trying to resync it ... here is my peer list : [

Idk if other people are having this problem, but normally when I mine at 200 - 250 kh/s I get thousands per hour on other coins (such as Doge coin even when it was at difficulty 5-100 I was getting about 1000 doge coins per hour) but this coin I've barely gotten 35 coins in about 10 hours worth of mining... Reason? or is it just cause it's still newly fresh? The difficulty is 0.51537028 so I thought it would be easier than this, when I was mining PND (Panda Coin) I was making about 100k per hour at difficulty 2.5 ...
This coin have 50 coin / block. The coin you've mentioned is give more than 1k / block ... |

except there are ads / marketing and place where or what this coin will be spend for (games, in game goods, etc etc ) ...
but.i am mining this since the diff is still low ...

I am just quoting myself and posting here aswell. If the hash rate is correct this would be by far the card with the best $ / KH/s ratio I guess others are interested too. It doesn't mean it's the exchange cold storage. Could still be a private account. It could be a buyer. Like I said before, VTC/CNY is over 25% of volume now. That's pretty much all buying. Agreed, perhaps its the guy who set buy 500 vtc on different price. Still showing on bter btc/vtc trade page atm ... |

I tried the new pool, I am getting -  Also, how can I use vertminer for this? I don't know if this is relevant or not. but i think you need to configure worker on pool and your config. |

I am getting only 250khash with 2x 7950 vapor-x ALTMiner --scrypt -o http://127.0.0.1:32768 -u user -p pass -w 256 -I 12 -g 2 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-engine 1000 --gpu-powertune -20 --thread-concurrency 4164 --auto-fan --queue 0 --temp-target 70 --temp-overheat 85 --gpu-fan 60-95 try the link i gave above and find setting for your card. for me, -I 13 is the best, and lower clock n memclock giving almost same result. here is my config for 270x : --gpu-engine 1080 --gpu-memclock 1210 --auto-fan --temp-target 80,75 --temp-overheat 90 --temp-cutoff 95 --gpu-powertune -20 --worksize 256 -I 13 --lookup-gap 0 Thanks.
