Better profitability at the moment mining with L3+ because of the Litecoin exchange rate vs difficulty. Of course, early batches of L3+ had the most to gain and as you go forward will be more and more dificult to make a profit.
Where are you located, if you don't mind me asking? Just curious where you can get electricity so cheap.
|
|
|
Difficulty will rise like crazy. There is a masive batch of L3+ coming next month and another one the month after + more miners that we don't know of. By the time you get your Sept 13-20 batch delivered you looking at probably 2x or 3x today's difficulty (or more, you never know).
Knowing Bitmain, there are going to be more batches coming out after yours so the difficulty will constantly increase. There are other scrypt coins to mine as well but you never know how the exchange rate will be. It is all a risk in crypto world.
On the other hand with electricity that cheap it might be worth investing. It is up to how you view and tolerate risk. But always try and make your calculations considering the difficulty increase.

Just checked my Hashnest account and all the hasrate and compensation is there. Check your accounts. We should be able to get better payouts with hashnest considering that they have lower maintenance fees.

Did anyone have their hashrate transffered to Hashnest yet?

I'm still waiting for Umisoo to reply regarding the shipping price. I've just sent another email.
Regarding the hosting fees, you have to pay for 30 days before the hosting starts and then again when that expires and so on.

For sale 8 hosted hardware units Antminer S4. Total 16TH/s hashing power running at an average of 15.5 TH/s pool side.
350 USD each (1.65 BTC). Total 13 BTC for all 8, at current BTC price.
They are all hosted at Umisoo data center in China. You can keep them on hosting there if you wish or have them sent wherever you wish but be aware of VAT charges in Europe and UK. The hosting for S4's is on monthly basis, $33.92 per day for all 8 units. You don't have to wait for the units to be delivered to you, just start mining as soon as the sale is complete. The pool settings can be accessed and changed anytime you want by accessing your Umisoo account.
Will use escrow, shared fees if any.
Also, 2x Spondoolies SP10 curently hosted at Toomim Bros. in Washington State. The hosting expires on the 10th of March 15 so you'll be getting over a month and a half of free hosting. Price for these is 3.3 BTC for both (at current btc price)
Any questions or interested to buy please send PM.
Thanks.
I can see why you are selling them. Current Revenue $37 per day - $34 hosting fee = $3/day Its no secret. The hosting fee is in usd. At this point in time with btc prices so low the fee is quite high in btc. If btc prices go up even just slightly then the profit increases. Its all about individual beliefs, how do one thinks price will evolve... and also there are people that might choose to buy because they have very cheap electricity and want the units sent to them or want to put them up for rent maybe getting better revenue. Bitmain is selling used S4 units for $623

Great! All of a sudden, my miners go offline because apparently I owe over 2000$ hosting fee for a little over 2 weeks! Also, hosting fees per day on their site are equal to the value of the device! Major cockup! I am losing money because my miners went offline during a betarigs rental and now I look bad in front of my renter!
I HOPE YOU FIX THIS ASAP AND REFUND!
Same here! Paid 7 days ago for a month hosting and they just took my miners offline saying that the hosting has expired. WTF!

@BITMAIN: sent you email. Yesterday i received 1 parcel of the 2 i was waiting. I didnt have to pay, but declared value was 523,35$ for 1 S3(thats not what i payed, i payed for 2 S3 --> 1.152BTC = 492.07 EUR = 657,195 USD). So i need an invoice in EUR of 0.576 BTC = 246.04 EUR = 328.597 USD because the other parcel with the S3 is at customs, till i send them the invoice. thanks see, this was declared value for 1 S3, thats 523,35 USD right?: Where did you see USD? 523.35 Yen Yuan! And I don't think that's the declared value because that's only 5 84 USD. It must be a delivery charge or something.

I tried the image from 1l1l11ll1l but for my it did not work. win32discimager writes for a few seconds but after that i can't read the sd card.
There was also a other image ( updated? ) and that one worked. It took a few minutes to write that one.
I have just send a email to bitmaintech to ask about this booting problem. When i have found the problem i will post it in here.
You will probably need to format the SD card properly before writing the image or it might not work (it's partitioned). Download a SDFormatter to format the card and make sure you see the full memory available before writing the image with win32diskimager. Sounds like you got it working though... if you did, you should make an img of the working card and write it to a spare or at least to disk, to make any future resetting go quicker. Yes i can see the files on the SD card, both on the card i made with the diskimager and on the original one. btw, the sd card i used came formatted, i will try SDFormatter tonight to be sure. Thank's for the advice. Make sure they are class 10 sd cards. That worked for me. I had the same problem on my batch 2. Three of them just did not boot when restarted. Even after replacing the sd cards with new ones and the image provided by 1l1l11l1l (thanks!) still no boot. But they were not class 10 cards. I don't know why but as soon as I put in a class 10 card in, with the same image, it worked without a problem and on all three. Good luck

Bitmain, Any news abouth the shipping date for batch 2? Havn't got any update since 1 week.
Thanks.
Looking at what people are saying batch 1 was shipped on time so I'm guessing batch 2 is still on track for the 10th

After a busy day (and working late again), we have lots of good news! Today, we have received our electronics components delivery, which means we now have everything in stock for large scale production of our miners.
Tomorrow at 16:00pm GMT, we are officially opening our orders for a limited quantity of Enigma 1 Miners, which will be dispatched on 31st March 2014. (Local customers in the UK can collect their order from our office, from Sunday 30th March onwards).
All orders placed are covered by our dispatch date guarantee, to ensure you receive your miner on time as promised!! The following week, we will be opening up for larger quantities of the Enigma 1, as well as the rest of the Enigma range.
As you may already know, our miners are based on the Coincraft A1 ASIC chip. We were targeting a power usage of 0.65 W/GH (as stated on the data sheet) but using the A1, the best we can achieve is 0.85 W/GH. We feel that given the current lack of hardware available, it is better to provide our hardware at 0.85 W/GH and for it to be readily available now, than to delay for another month or two.
We are also pleased to announce that the price of our Enigma 1 is now $3200 (£1910), which also includes an RPI controller for complete standalone operation.
On behalf of everyone at Bitcoin Ultra, Thank You for your recent interest and we look forward to becoming a big part of the Bitcoin community.
4 days until dispatch!!! Wow I can't wait!....

We are already VAT registered and our listed prices are inclusive of VAT. We also have an EROI number for exporting from the UK.
Hi. I thought the prices are inclusive of VAT!! I was getting ready to pay for my order but at the end of check out..surprise..VAT on top of the advertised price. Is that right? Have I missed something? Plus, no option to "pick up" as they have stated before on here and on the phone. 120 quid for delivery in London?!? Final price for one Enigma 1 delivered in London Uk = £2322!
