Hi Fellas

i want to start mining Litecoins. I read already a lot about the whole Cryptocurrency subject.

Since the Litecoin price is at around 38$ and i could get electricity for only 0.04$ i think it is worth to invest some money.

I made the math on several websites and also by my own. Now iam not sure if iam not forgetting something important. The revenue is quite massive and that looks too good to be true.

My example.

10 Antminer L3+
5040 Mhz Hasrate
8000 Watt = 70080kw/h

If i could mine around 3650 Litecoins in one year. I should have a nett revenue of around 120k $
Internetcost 1000$ , elcetricity 5500$, rent 1200$included.

I calcualted for shipping the Antminer including PSU and taxes etc. around 25k $.

If this is correct i could do in the first year 95k$ nett revenue in total.

Could this be true (if the Litecoin rate will be also rising with the difficulties like it was in the past)?

Thanks a lot

Difficulty will rise like crazy. There is a masive batch of L3+ coming next month and another one the month after + more miners that we don't know of. By the time you get your Sept 13-20 batch delivered you looking at probably 2x or 3x today's difficulty (or more, you never know).

Knowing Bitmain, there are going to be more batches coming out after yours so the difficulty will constantly increase. There are other scrypt coins to mine as well but you never know how the exchange rate will be. It is all a risk in crypto world.

On the other hand with electricity that cheap it might be worth investing. It is up to how you view and tolerate risk. But always try and make your calculations considering the difficulty increase.

Thanks for your reply.
Regarding the batches, i think this is the risk what i need to take. Same for Bitcoins.
I just wondered how it could be that with Litecoin at the moment the rev. is around 5 times that high like with Bitcoins. for the same investment at the beginning.
But even if the Litecoin prize will get down again. it will be still worth trying.

Are you minig litecoins with an ASIC?

Better profitability at the moment mining with L3+ because of the Litecoin exchange rate vs difficulty. Of course, early batches of L3+ had the most to gain and as you go forward will be more and more dificult to make a profit.

Where are you located, if you don't mind me asking? Just curious where you can get electricity so cheap.
