1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin Cash is on fire! Up 500% since the fork and rising! on: February 22, 2018, 01:53:24 AM
LCC will be worthless by the time you're able to sell it. The devs however already made their money and ran off.

It's a scam, who cares what their twitter says.

Now we have Litecoin Cash so 2 LCC scams Cheesy
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is Auto Switch Mining really profitable? on: February 12, 2018, 05:21:20 PM
Old thread but it's a top google result so I'll just add my 2 cents. Auto profit isn't simply "x coin is worth x amount more" and it switches. It takes into account difficulty as well. 2 coins can be worth the exact same amount but if one has higher difficulty than you'd be getting less return for your hashrate during that period of time.

That is the concept anyway, it's debatable but for somebody like me, I feel like it's a more consistent return and with places like miningpoolhub you can have it auto convert to whatever coin you want when it accumulates enough, that way you aren't stuck with a bunch of random crap like bitcoin gold and feathercoin that often pop up as most profitable.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: DevFee: Job timeout, disconnect, retry in 20 sec ... on: January 30, 2018, 07:27:00 AM
see help for -allpools option and use it.

I've already tried that...I assume that's what is sending me to nicehash.com in the first place since I'm not using that pool...which doesn't work which is why I'm here asking.

It unfortunately forces me to enable -nofee 1 which lowers my hashrate.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: DevFee: Job timeout, disconnect, retry in 20 sec ... on: January 27, 2018, 11:15:51 PM
solution is stop using nicehash

I'm not using nicehash...I can only assume it's the dev fee trying to use it.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: DevFee: Job timeout, disconnect, retry in 20 sec ... on: January 27, 2018, 10:51:17 PM
I'm having the same issue, how is there no solution to this if it's so common? Can't we set another pool for the devfee to mine on?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEMOSMINER multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner on: January 27, 2018, 07:49:57 PM
I just updated to Nemos Miner 2.4.1 and on 2 PCs it seems to be stuck trying to benchmark xmrig which doesn't launch and it just sits there saying Sleep 300 sec

Why do so many people fall for these spam coins? Any ICO that rewards people for spamming social media and referral links is SHIT.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: FuzzBalls [Released] on: January 27, 2018, 03:58:43 PM
Yea you should totally waste your time and resources mining an abandoned coin that has a website that looks like it's from Geocities from 1995 and hasn't been updated in a year at least. The last message is literally "mine at your own risk".

The dev who posted this originally: Last Active:    December 26, 2016, 06:24:30 PM

Good luck, this was fun as a joke, and a pump and dump, but don't waste your time mining it when the creator can't be bothered to give a statement after a year.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VPRC] VapersCoin - Scrypt on: January 26, 2018, 04:38:59 PM
So why does the vape industry need it's own coin? This is just another coin that the world can live without, a money grab.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: FuzzBalls (◕‿-)✌ on: January 10, 2018, 04:15:29 AM
So is this abandoned? How is this even on exchanges when the dev hasn't updated anything in like 2 years and the last message was about not even knowing if it forked and warning people to mine at their own risk lol

Ridiculous, way to continue making a joke of cryptocurrency.  Good luck with all the sheep mining this one.
13  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGWatcher 1.3.4, a GUI/monitor for CGMiner & BFGMiner to help minimize downtime on: January 18, 2014, 10:29:53 PM
Is there a way to make CGWatcher delete .bin files in the cgminer folder before it loads the miner?
14  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGWatcher 1.3.4, a GUI/monitor for CGMiner & BFGMiner to help minimize downtime on: January 17, 2014, 03:42:22 AM
btw my anti-virus is picking up the cgwatcher.exe as a trojan

I use Kaspersky Internet Security 2014 and it also (falsely) detected it as a trojan.  There are several things that Kaspersky will flag as "generic" trojans that aren't.  Make sure you add it to exclusions AND trusted applications if you have Internet Security.

Also thanks for the suggestion about bat file to make cgwatcher start on system startup and for explaining the shares display.
15  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGWatcher 1.3.4, a GUI/monitor for CGMiner & BFGMiner to help minimize downtime on: January 16, 2014, 08:59:01 PM
My cgminer shows over 160,000 shares accepted, but cgwatcher's status tab only shows about 2600.  Does this number on cgwatcher account for the share difficulty or should it be showing the same as cgminer?

Edit: Just uninstalled Kaspersky 2014, CGwatcher still not starting on boot.  Fresh cgwatcher install, set to the using registry option on Current User and it's shown in my Win 8.1 task manager startup tab as enabled.  Nobody else having this issue at all?
16  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGWatcher 1.3.4, a GUI/monitor for CGMiner & BFGMiner to help minimize downtime on: January 16, 2014, 01:20:59 PM
May I use it for Litecoin Mining?

Is there any mobile remote control application ?

May I use for only monitor for check status my rig  ?

You're here to mine and make money but can't be bothered to read any of the first post before asking questions you could find out yourself with 2 minutes of reading?

Description
CGWatcher is a GUI for bitcoin miners CGMiner and BFGMiner.

As the description says, it can use cgminer and bfgminer, so from there you could find out what coins those support but yes Litecoin is one of them.  Even if you're too lazy to read the entire post, you could ctrl+f litecoin and answer that blatantly obvious question that way Smiley

Then if you searched for "remote" you'd find that he also created CGRemote which answers your second question.  Your third question I don't know, but you should put forth just a LITTLE effort instead of asking people to hold your hand for every little thing so you can make money!

Thanks again for the hard work for FREE so turds like me can try and make money more conveniently.  I found some settings that actually let me use my PC while mining without too much lag so I'm going to start over and setup cgwatcher again and see if I can't get my issues worked out and I'll try removing my anti-virus and see if that is to blame as nobody has responded to whether or not the auto start works for them on Win 8.1

Sorry I tried quoting but it's a real mess with all these quotes lol:

Not detecting idle *fixed*: Ok, apparently it is something running on my system preventing it from being considered idle because I did a cold boot, didn't load Steam or any of my usual apps I leave open and it did have it set to high intensity when I came back.  So cross that one off, I'll have to figure out what is causing that myself.

CGWatcher not opening on startup: it's listed Twice actually, but neither start up. (I'm on Windows 8.1 Pro x64)

Text Size: The text size in Test works, but it's only changing the size of some text (the tabs on top and in other sections are all changed as well as most of the Status page text, but most of the other buttons and text are still the same and I can't see the buttons on the button of coin profitability)  Also I tried increasing it back to where it was and it just kept decreasing it (and actually decreased ALL the text when using Increase from what I can see except the coin profitability is still normal size)  Restarting CGWatcher returned it to normal.

Edit: If others can confirm that the startup works properly for them on windows 8/8.1 I will volunteer to uninstall Kaspersky and report whether that fixes it but I have tried completely disabling it (at least that's what it says) thru a reboot and didn't fix.
18  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGWatcher 1.3.4, a GUI/monitor for CGMiner & BFGMiner to help minimize downtime on: January 02, 2014, 11:45:39 PM
Using latest version, still can't get CGWatcher to open on startup.  Tried both the registry and startup folder setting, have it set to run as administrator.

I disabled all of Kaspersky's extras and set it to disabled and tried numerous restarts, only thing I haven't done is uninstall kaspersky.  Is it working for others?

Also still not detecting my PC as being idle, but that could be something on my system running causing that, can any1 confirm that setting is working for them? (To raise intensity when computer is idle for x minutes)

Other small issue is I use 125% font size, so I can't see buttons in some sections, notably in the Settings tab, Other Tools where you're supposed to be able to turn off the profitability popups, I can't see the buttons at the bottom or read what's there.
19  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGWatcher 1.3.3, a GUI/monitor for CGMiner & BFGMiner to help minimize downtime on: December 13, 2013, 01:14:57 AM
I have on more small issue, can't get CGWatcher to start on windows startup.

Task Manager shows it enabled in my startup tab, I enabled it in the program and I even tried making a shortcut to it and adding it to my start menu startup folder and no go.

Windows 8.1 Pro x64

It works totally fine otherwise, completely excluded/allowed in Kaspersky so I'm not sure what would cause this.

Also cgwatcher thinks I'm idle while watching video, any way to make it react like windows screensaver would and know I'm not idle if video is playing?  I tried adding adobe flash plugin's exe file to turn my intensity down when open and back up when not open but my Idle rule is overriding that.  TYTY

reubes:

That's a new one. Do you have any antivirus software installed? It may be causing a problem with cgminer launching. Also, a quick Google search showed a lot of results related to fake spyware removal programs (the ones that tell you they found more viruses than you have files). I would suggest starting with a scan, I use Windows Defender and Malwarebytes Pro. Also make sure that you've white-listed cgminer since some antivirus software flags it since older versions were used in botnets.

Yup you're right, it was Kaspersky Internet Security 2014 causing my issue.  Should've thought of that since it did detect it as a trojan and delete it at first.  For anyone else who may have the issue, I had already set an exclusion for it but you also have to Allow it in Application Control.
